Chapter 1056: Four eighty-one: descendants of the devil!_2
"You are two, not one," the Shaman spoke in the common tongue of humans, and it was remarkably standard.
Lanling said, "She is my child, I carry her with me at all times."
"No," the Shaman insisted. "One at a time, one at a time."
"No," Lanling refused.
Upon these words...
Suddenly, hundreds of arrows were aimed at him simultaneously.
"If one disobeys, all shall be executed," the Shaman declared.
At once, other Barbarian Prisoners roared at Lanling angrily, as if they were about to rush over and tear him apart.
At this moment, the Shaman placed his hand upon the little girl’s head, closed his eyes, and commenced the Heavenly Eye Judgment.
Without Lanling’s consent, this peculiar Shaman began the Heavenly Eye Judgment.
A sphere of light and shadow completely enveloped the little girl.
"Giggle..." Suddenly, the little girl let out a tender and crisp laugh.
She seemed fearless.
Following that, Lanling clearly felt the Shaman’s body shudder violently, his face twitching.
His eyes were even on the verge of snapping open.
Clearly, the little girl was extraordinarily special.
It could be her identity, her talents, or her lineage.
Regardless, she was extremely special.
After a full three minutes, the Shaman opened his eyes.
Lanling could tell that he was forcibly suppressing the excitement in his heart; his eyes still intensely bright, even greedy—though he purposely avoided looking at the little girl.
"Passed," announced the Shaman.
As if facing a formidable enemy, Lanling handed the little girl to Mulong, saying, "Take care of her for me for a moment. Remember, no matter what happens, do not let her leave your side."
Mulong replied with some confusion, "Really entrust her to me? I’m afraid I might..."
"It won’t be long," said Lanling.
Mulong clenched his teeth and took over the little girl, saying, "You killed the werewolf, indirectly saving my life. I shall fulfill my duty until my last breath. We of the Ta Tribe always honor our promises."
Lanling nodded, then walked over to the platform at the mouth of the volcano, standing before the Shaman.
He then gathered all his spiritual power, putting forth all his strength to confront the Shaman.
He had already sensed the Shaman’s malicious intent towards the little girl, although he did not know why.
This shaman-like monster extended a hand and placed it on Lanling’s head, then closed his eyes and activated the Third Eye on his forehead.
Instantaneously, Lanling was surrounded by a sphere of light and shadow!
At the same time, a powerful spiritual force violently pierced towards Lanling’s mental realm.
A person’s mental realm is their last line of defense.
If another’s spiritual power penetrates your mental realm, you have no secrets left; they can read your memories.
Moreover, they can easily destroy your spiritual world, turning you into a mindless husk.
And now, this Shaman intended to breach Lanling’s spiritual defenses and completely eradicate them, reducing him to a walking corpse.
Of course, a person’s spiritual defenses, bolstered by will and physicality, are tremendously strong.
Only an attack from spiritual power several times, even dozens of times stronger, can utterly break a person’s spiritual defenses.
This Shaman, who was like a little monster, possessed tremendously terrifying spiritual power.
Lanling focused all his spiritual power to defend his mental realm.
"Boom!"
The Shaman’s spiritual attack was ferocious, but upon hitting Lanling’s spiritual defenses, it was forcefully repelled.
The Shaman was shocked; he had judged over ten thousand individuals with his Heavenly Eye, and had easily broken through the spiritual defenses of the vast majority of Barbarians. How could this Near-Human possess such formidable spiritual power to withstand his own?
But, a mere ant-like Near-Human thinking of resisting him with spiritual power? Laughable.
Immediately, the Shaman kept on strengthening his spiritual power, doubling it—once, twice, three times, four times!
At this time, Lanling felt his entire surroundings plunge into complete darkness.
He saw nothing, felt nothing.
His body and mind seemed to be under the pressure of a colossal mountain, steadily growing heavier and heavier.
Not just his body, but also his spiritual defenses were on the verge of collapse.
But...
His psychic defense was still unbroken.
The little monster-like Shaman’s entire body bristled with hair, and the Heavenly Eye on his forehead was bloodshot and turned a terrifying red.
After a full five minutes...
The little monster Shaman gave up, even though his spiritual power was many times greater than Lanling’s.
However, Lanling’s spiritual power talent was too extraordinary; he could withstand the most powerful attacks with the least amount of spiritual power.
Opening his eyes, the little monster Shaman coldly stared at Lanling and whispered, "You are the one with the strongest spiritual power I have ever judged, but so what? You will still die!"
He secretly sent a vicious smile towards Lanling, fleeting and swift.
Then he said sternly, "You failed; jump down!"
Lanling angrily retorted, "If the Heavenly Eye Judgment fails, I should just leave. Why should I jump into the volcanic abyss?"
The little monster Shaman roared sharply, "Down..."
His tiny body suddenly let out a roar, filled with monstrous strength, like a hurricane, forcefully pushing Lanling towards the mouth of the volcano.
"No..." Lanling also let out a fierce roar.
It was like the roar of a dragon, immensely dignified and overpowering.
Both roars collided fiercely, resulting in a loud explosion.
Immediately, Lanling was forcefully pushed back three feet, arriving at the edge of the platform.
Behind him lay the unfathomable abyss, with terrifying, glowing magma below; falling in meant nothing would remain of his body.
The little monster Shaman was incredibly shocked by the tremendous force of his own roar.
How has this member of the Near-Human Tribe, whose cultivation is utterly weak, managed to emit such a terrifying howl to contend with his?
"Jump down?" The little Shaman roared furiously.
A hurricane-like force fiercely pushed at Lanling.
"No!" Lanling too let out a vehement roar.
Then, feeling a force as strong as a level 12 hurricane pressing against him, his entire body was about to be thrown out, falling into the deep abyss.
"Crack..." At the critical moment, Lanling’s clawed toes suddenly elongated, firmly grasping the edge of the giant stone platform, piercing half an inch deep into the stone.
His body was on the verge of falling, but the claws were firmly nailed into the rock.
"Eeee..." The little girl was still unaware of what had happened, cheering with high spirits for Lanling, while baring her teeth threateningly at the little monster Shaman.
"Impressive, but you are still going to die!" The little monster Shaman drew his staff across the edge of the giant stone platform.
Suddenly, a puff of green smoke emerged.
The stone, which had been incredibly hard, was instantly corroded; it turned into mud-like softness.
The claws under Lanling’s feet could no longer grasp the mud-like stone, and he plunged into the abyss, falling into the volcano’s magma!
"Pap pap..." The little girl screamed and rushed out of Mulong’s embrace.
Her tender young wings burst from her back, desperately flapping as she flew towards the mouth of the volcano.
Suddenly, everyone was completely stunned!
This little girl who appeared to be from the Near-Human Tribe, could she actually fly?
The flight lineage was exceedingly rare across the entire Barbaric Wilderness Continent. And those races capable of flight were no longer known as Barbarians but as the Demon Race!
Because only the descendants of demons have wings, only they can fly!
The Demon Race holds an extremely high status in The Barbaric Wilderness.
The little girl wasn’t very good at flying, wobbling and stumbling through the air.
But she was determined to save Lanling.
"Pap pap... pap pap..."
Just as she reached the mouth of the volcano and saw Lanling’s figure plunging into the magma, she was about to dive down after him.
"Ga ga... jie jie, little darling, you’re mine now. From here on, I’ll be your daddy," the little monster Shaman jeered, then suddenly held the little girl tight in his embrace.
The little girl struggled desperately, but she was too young, only three years of age; how could she escape from this powerful monster Shaman?
Then, she could only watch helplessly as Lanling continuously fell, plummeting into the deep abyss.
"Bang!"
And then, Lanling’s body violently crashed into the fiery red magma.
A thick smoke billowed, and Lanling’s body was completely swallowed by the terrifying magma.
Infinite flames, boundless magma.
It was as if the eighteenth layer of hell!
