Chapter 341: The peaceful life (THE END)

After the king’s return, the citizens of Findara were utterly surprised and shocked to see a dead person back to life, however as they never saw his dead body when he was declared to have passed away, they soon accepted the fact that he was never dead to begin with, and so, Hamon was given back his position as the king of Findara. He also made sure to make up to his family for all the years he’d been absent. He became his twins’ teacher in their training sessions along with the other kids.

Their lives were so peaceful as one big family.

Like a book being flipped, time passed and the seasons changed.

However, as time went by, Hamon and his kids started to compete with each other because of Ara.

The kids would insist that Ara would sleep with them like she used to do before their father returned, however, Hamon would refuse, but despite that, the kids would throw tantrums and in the end the four would end up sleeping in the same room and on the same bed.

And the couple never had time to be alone with each other, but only when Ara would go to Hamon’s study room to help him with the kingdom affairs which he’d lost track of for the past seven years.

And so, today she currently sat beside him in his study room assisting him. But as she stood up to reach for the tea cup on the table, at the same time, Hamon reached out from his seat and pulled her towards him, he then pushed her down to sit on his lap while he wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her still.

Ara was startled at his sudden action, but soon relaxed on his lap, she then said, "You haven’t finished your work yet, Hamon."

"Hmm." He hummed as he leaned down to whisper in her ear, "There’s nothing urgent left to do. And with those little demons, we don’t even have enough time to be alone anymore, we should enjoy our time together like this before they return from their classes."

"Hamon..." Ara whispered his name as he leaned down nibbling and kissing her sensitive neck skin. She didn’t resist and pushed her head back to give him more access. It was true that she rarely had enough time to spend with her husband, because even at night the twins were always hovering over them.

Ara unintentionally let out a moan of pleasure as Hamon’s lips trailed her neck and moved downwards to kiss her hard nipple through her clothes. Heat and desire consumed her entire body as anticipation built up in her, but just when Hamon’s hands reached to her zipper while still kissing her, he suddenly stopped and pushed away from the kiss.

Ara, who had been anticipating to feel his lips on her bare skin gave him a puzzled look as he stopped, but Hamon only cursed under his breath.

"They’re back!" He said. The twins hurried footsteps did not go unnoticed to Hamon’s sensitive ears, he quickly let go of Ara, and at the same time Ara also heard their excited voices rang in the corridors.

"Mother!"

"Mother!"

Before Hamon could even speak again, Ara had ran out of the study room and went out to meet them outside. Well, this wasn’t the first time something like this happened, so Hamon just simply sighed in defeat.

"It seems I’ve lost my wife to these little demons. I have to win her heart again." He mumbled to himself.

One night. Hamon sent a letter to Ara through a servant to meet him outside the palace, and the appointment time was quite late, it was almost midnight. Ara was puzzled when she received the letter. Why would Hamon want to meet outside by this time of the night? She thought to herself as she made her way to the meeting place with two guards following behind her just to be safe.

As Ara arrived at the place, she found Hamon waiting for her. His tall figure, astride on a black horse glowing in the faint moonlight, was as majestic as ever. Upon noticing her, he smiled warmly.

"You’re right on time." He said to Ara as she approached him with a glimmer of a smile, "Why did you ask to meet at this time of the night?" She asked.

"Well, we’ve been sperated for too long than we’ve been together, and ever since I returned, you seem to worry about the twins and rarely have time to breathe in fresh air for yourself. So I want us to be alone and make new memories together, like we used to be before we had children." Hamon admitted.

Hamon made a gesture and a guard nearby pulled an immaculate white horse towards Ara, it was a magnificent stallion. He then said, "I remember you used to love horse riding, so I thought we should ride tonight. Shall we?"

"Of course!" Ara’s mood lit up at Hamon’s suggestion, as he had said, they had been separated for more than they’d been together. And it would be great to feel the fresh wind again.

Ara swiftly mounted her horse and Hamon pointed to a direction, "Let’s go that way."

"Wouldn’t it be fun if we have a race and see who’s faster?" Ara suggested and Hamon smirked in amusement, "Sure, but no matter how fast you are, you can’t beat me."

Ara replied confidently, "Well, it wouldn’t be easy for you to beat me, either."

"There should be a reward for the winner then. What should the reward be?" Hamon asked Ara, who looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "The loser will do anything the winner desires."

"Very well then, we shall see who wins."

The pair exchanged knowing glances, Hamon then said, "Ready?"

"Yes!"

At a mutual signal, both of them snapped their reins and the horses shot forward at an incredible speed.

Ara’s smile widened as the cool night breeze whipped around her body. This wasn’t the first time she rode a horse alongside Hamon, but it was a thrill to experience this again after seven years. She snapped her horse reins, and it sped up leaving Hamon behind.

However, as Ara’s horse galloped forward, an unexpected scene unfolded before her eyes making her pull the horse to a sudden stop.

"Oh my..." Ara’s jaw dropped open at the scene. Thousands of candle lamps lit up like a red carpet along the path where they were racing. It was a breathtaking sight.

"Hamon, did you do all this?" She asked her husband whose horse had also stopped beside hers.

"Mhm. I did." He hummed in affirmation, before he turned towards her, "Would you like to take a night stroll with me?"

"Sure!" Ara nodded with a slight excitement, little did she imagine Hamon had made such preparation for her. She hurriedly dismounted the horse, and Hamon stretched his hand forward for her to take.

Ara smiled then gently placed her hand on his large ones. He then began to lead her to walk between the candles. The thousands of candle lamps lit up the entire path to the extent she couldn’t tell where the lamps ended.

Hamon stopped walking and pointed to the sky with his finger, "The weather is clear tonight, so you can see how bright the stars are shinning. But I want to make the sky brighter for you."

The moment he said that_

SWOOSH! KABOOM!

The night sky suddenly lit up as the multi colored fireworks exploded in the sky. Ara jolted at the loud sound, but was soon in awe as the sky became a sea of colors, the colors were so bright it almost felt like daylight. It was a glorious sight from where they stood. Ara had never seen anything as beautiful as these, she was in a complete awe as she stared at the sky with a smile.

"This is beautiful, Hamon." She mumbled softly as she watched the fireworks.

However, that wasn’t all the things Hamon had prepared for her tonight. After they finished watching the fireworks, Hamon led her forward again through the candle lights path. Ara wondered what other things he’d prepared, but she didn’t ask and allowed him to lead her. Just then, the Findara city clock rang midnight.

Ara suddenly noticed lights like fireflies arranged on a wall to write_

"Happy birthday, my wife." Hamon said out the written words on the wall. He then smiled as Ara glanced at him in astonishment, "I want to be the first to wish you on this special day. You lighten up my darked world by coming into my life, and I’m grateful for that, Ara. I don’t know what I’d do without you In my life, and so I want to make the day you were born into this world special starting from now."

Ara’s green eyes trembled slightly as tears pooled up in her eyes. It had slipped her mind completely that her birthday was today. But Hamon had done all this just to make her birthday special? She was utterly speechless and emotional at his surprise. Her voice trembled as she spoke,

"How did...did you remember my birthday?"

Hamon smiled, "How can I forget my wife’s birthday. You are the most important person in my life, and I will love you till the end of time and celebrate each of your birthdays with you from now onwards." He assured as he gently wiped away the tears rolling down her cheeks.

Ara couldn’t even bring herself to speak as she shed tears of joy, she was too touched by his words. Ever since Hamon had left seven years ago, she hadn’t thought about celebrating her birthdays, and let the day pass like any ordinary day.

"When the sun rises in the morning, there will be a grand birthday celebration for you, my wife. And also..." Hamon tucked his hand inside his pocket and brought out a small ring box, he opened the box with a small click and inside nestled a ring designed in the same style and shape as the one Ara had gifted him years ago.

Her face turned red as Hamon went down on one knee and spoke in a earnest deep voice, "Will you marry me again, and stay with me forever?"

Ara’s heart pounded wildly in her ears as she replied with a slightly trembling voice, "We...we are already married and have children now."

"It doesn’t matter, I want us to renew our wedding vows. I’ve been away for too long, and i want us to do it all over again." He smiled as he continued in a low voice, "Our children have nothing to do with me winning your heart again."

Love was a requirement of marriage, but having children does not naturally lead to a loving husband. Even though he was already married to Ara and they had children, he still felt the need to renew his vows after being separated for that long.

Ara’s tears continue to roll down as she nodded her head repeatedly, "Yes, I will marry you again."

Hamon stood up to his feet and stroked the area around her reddened eyes and said, "Don’t cry, I want to make you happy for the rest of our lives." He said softly, then added, "Smile."

A sob unintentionally slipped from her mouth, but she soon smiled. Happiness filled her entire being as Hamon slowly slid the ring into her ring finger before pressing his warm lips against it.

Ara, unable to hold back anymore, jumped forward to hug him, "I will stay and love you until my final breath. If there is another lifetime after this, then I will love you again."

They had lived through hardship and two lifetimes together, and Ara was willing to live every lifetime with him again. No matter how hard it would be, as long as this man would be there with her she was willing to face anything. She would love and cherish only him.

Without hesitation Hamon also wrapped his arms around her, he smiled blissfully as he closed his eyes to cherish their moment together. He had no doubt that the days ahead would be happier.

Hamon delicately wiped her moistened eyes, she then mumbled, "I won the race."

Hamon nodded his head with a grin, "Yes, you won. So what do you desire from me?"

"Tch, I don’t want much, I just want..." With a mischievous smile, Ara briefly take a look at their surroundings, the candle lamps lit their path endlessly towards their future, and what she desired the most, was to build a big family with Hamon. She thought.

She then stood on the tip of her toes to whisper to Hamon’s ears, "I want us to have another baby."

Hamon’s red eyes widened. No way! He was already having a hard time sharing his wife with those two rats, and now she desired another one. But then...it was Ara, his beloved wife. How could he refuse having another child that would come from her. And again, it wasn’t all that bad, the process would be so much fun!

Hamon smiled, "As you wish, my love. But can we start the process immediately we get home?" He pulled her waist to his body, and Ara nodded excitedly, "Yes!"

The pair smiled happily at each other and they soon climbed their horses. Both Hamon and Ara’s horse galloped forward at the same time. Ara giggled as her heart flattered freely in the night breeze. Despite the thick darkness of the night, the road ahead of them was bright like the happy future Ara had always dreamt about.
