Ara had finally woken up after a long time of sleep. For the first time she got to sleep for an entire day without having a single nightmare. But ever since she’d woken up, Hamon and Ara had been arguing about something.

"No...I don’t think what you said earlier is really alright. I haven’t heard of it before," She retorted with her eyebrows snapped together.

"Then let’s make ours the first. No matter what you say, I am not taking any dowry from your family, understand?"

The pair had been arguing on that matter for long now. As marriage among the elites rarely came without dowry. No bride had ever married a royal family member without dowry. Ara couldn’t even close her mouth after hearing what the king requested for. Was he really serious?! That property was important to her father! Her expression turned worried, but Hamon reassured, "Don’t worry, everything is settled now."

"Which is why I said you shouldn’t worry, since you won’t have to give it." He reassured but Ara wasn’t getting any of it and kept worrying.

What was she going to do now? If they don’t give any dowry, the elites in the kingdom might take the Boxton family to be cheap, and how would the rest of the royal family let it pass? He sighed again, "Nobody would dare do that, I’ll take care of it. Just agree to it already."

Ara felt she was already too much indebted to him, not only that, it made her feel quite uneasy thinking about taking this offer of not paying the dowry.

And she wouldn’t have to worry about her father’s precious property going away. So left without no other choice she had another debt to pay him.

"Alright, we won’t pay the dowry. And I agree to pay you back when the time comes."

Although she was only getting married to Hamon for the sake of her family, but still, she wouldn’t want to bother her father with the dowry. She had no choice but to accept the burdensome debt from Hamon.

Hamon replied with a pleased expression as if he’d just won a lottery, "Good! Now everything is settled."

Ara smiled at his expression. She wondered why he looked this pleased when she was the one to benefit from everything. She felt her heart softened as if a load had been lifted off her chest. She wouldn’t have to worry about the dowry again and get on with the wedding.

"Have dinner with me before you go back to the Boxton mansion." He said.

"But I have to leave_"

"It’s not a question and you can’t refuse, unless you plan to walk all the way from here to the Boxton mansion. If not, follow me to the dinning hall." He flashed her a bright mischievous smile.

But Ara felt the urge to slap it off his face this time. He had been threatening her with that the whole day because there was no carriage to take her home unless on his order!

And now she had no other choice but to agree again, just like at lunchtime. "Fine, let’s have dinner together."

"Let’s go." The smile on his face grew wider with her answer.

Ara felt like she was slowly falling into a trap she wouldn’t be able to ran from in the future. She was slowly slipping into the debt of a huge swamp called Hamon.
