Chapter 288: Chapter 223: The Elf Clan is Challenging the Dungeon
What is a live broadcast, such a term I’ve never heard before.
Steeran looked puzzled, it seemed like "live condition" was abbreviated, was it a term made up by Luluwo and others?
"It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand what a live broadcast means; it’s just our way of recording our adventure, mainly for those who can’t come to have some fun watching."
Luluwo held the Image Stone high in the air with chains, capturing the current scene within its view.
Such a familiar scene, isn’t this the Academy Gate Town?
Apart from the members of the Skyrim Strategy Group in the image, there were also a few unfamiliar faces, who seemed to be adventurers, wandering around the town.
In the old days in the Sain Dungeon, scenes of being together with unfamiliar teams were rare, but in Lake Lienia, it has become the norm.
"This place is called Academy Gate Town, protected by a bonfire, I think we can call it a safe zone," Luluwo strolled around the town, the camera moving slowly with her.
"It’s quite large, and there are many vacant houses, it seems they could be inhabited, but we fear the rooftops collapsing, so we pitched tents near the bonfire."
She pushed the door and walked into a house. Although it was slightly skewed, it at least did not collapse and could still provide shelter from wind and rain.
The walls inside the house were covered with seashells and moss, which lost their life energy because of the bonfire, now turning into a uniquely styled decoration.
The interior was somewhat dim, the small house didn’t divide living areas like living rooms or bedrooms; the open space was directly laid out, probably fitting three or four tents, not very spacious.
There must be bigger houses, but they are mostly in collapsing areas, naturally uninhabitable.
"If we could fix these broken houses, we could live in them again; everyone could have a warm house. We don’t have the energy though, but if Count Lord is watching, perhaps you might consider it."
She picked up a copper plate from the ground and began narrating to the Image Stone about how she imagined the ancient people lived here.
Luluwo’s storytelling ability truly wasn’t great; Steeran remained expressionless and unimpressed throughout.
The target audience for this recording seems to be those who don’t have the time or energy to explore but are curious about the dungeon. Thus, the video made only a brief introduction to Academy Gate Town and its surroundings, choosing some unique and eye-catching elements to mention.
The whole length was about ten or so minutes. For Steeran, who had already entered twice, there was nothing attractive, but it might be popular with those who hadn’t.
The other Image Stones all contained similar content, even named something bizarre—"Skyrim Strategy Group Seems to be Challenging Lake Lienia." Who came up with such strange names?
Each Image Stone represented a different place: Academy Gate Town, Luminous Stone Dragon Nest, the checkpoint at the foot of Academy Mountain, and... inside the Academy!?
Steeran immediately perked up; the truly useful information was this last one introducing the inside of the Academy.
"I remember we took the left path."
Initially, she and Leon Dunn entered the Magic Academy, faced with five exploratory routes—front, left, right, up, down—they chose to go left.
It proved to be a wrong decision because the intensity of battles there was much higher than expected, with many monsters having various resistances. They weren’t necessarily strong, but some attacks couldn’t inflict significant damage on them, and coupled with environmental interferences, they posed considerable trouble.
Besides physical damage, there were numerous mental attacks as well, with a myriad of confusing magic coming one after another.
There was an encounter she still vividly remembered; as they walked, they suddenly heard a dismal flute sound. Soon after, fog enveloped the surroundings, and numerous spiritual bodies like monsters appeared in the fog, most resembling emaciated, frenzied humans, but among them was also a Dual Blades White Ape.
This was presumed to be an Illusion Technique. Normally, killing the user would break the illusion, but they couldn’t find the user in the thick fog. The enemies present in the fog weren’t strong but were numerous, and the annoyed group ultimately choseActive retreat was their first choice in the battles in the Lake District, and recalling it was unpleasant.
The flutist monster must have been a formidable enemy.
Besides that, one other thing deeply frustrated Steeran, which was the battle with the Boss Monster.
Walking to the end of the left, they encountered the Boss Monster, Crystal Elder.
They struggled immensely to reach the Boss’s room, which was frighteningly spacious, and from afar, the Crystal Elder looked like an ant.
Then they understood why the space was so vast: because that damned Crystal Elder could teleport!
Everyone finally caught up with him, but before they could strike a blow, the jerk suddenly teleported to the other end, leaving everyone chasing again, feeling like they were being played like dogs.
And upon satisfying some unknown conditions, the Crystal Elder would release a wide-range magic attack that covered the entire room.
You’d think he would use Crystal Magic, given the word "crystal" in his name.
