When Did I Become An Artifact Dealer?!
Chapter 111 - 112: Suicide?

Chapter 111: Chapter 112: Suicide?

Then finally, we decided that he was still unwell and needed to rest. Iven was stressing himself out. He narrated what happened after letting Jael stay at his house.

At first, there were concerning problems, such as him peeing blood and his skin suddenly ripping apart. Then it turned into him crawling in the garden and eating soil like a refugee. He still complains about the chanting, and he rarely remains sane. He would vomit everything we fed him. His bowels were full of worms, and he’d chew on anything he could get his hands on.

Hearing that recollection, Cail looked at Iven with pity. Then he also realized that if Jael were in his place and was acting like that in his presence, Jael would probably be sleeping the entire time, because he’d knock him out the moment he acted up.

"That’s tough. What are the results of the hospital check-up?" Iven pulled his hair out in frustration.

They said that there was nothing wrong and everything was normal... But what the heck? It was obvious that a lot of things were wrong. How could they say that with a straight face?

In the end, they agreed to admit Jael to the hospital for observation.

If this were any other friend, then Iven would probably feel a bit of irritation. But Jael is not just his friend; he is also his cousin. Although he and his parents were panicking, they couldn’t just give up on him like that.

"Can we send a priest to him?" Iven was now sure that something supernatural was going on with Jael.

"But will it really work?"

"To be honest, I think he won’t last long if this continues."

That was his greatest fear—waking up and seeing Jael dead on the bed.

"We will find a way," Cail said casually.

If all else failed, he’d go to his abandoned warehouse plan.

Iven just thought that Cail was comforting him. But he nodded and tried to stay optimistic.

"Are supernaturals really real?"

"No idea," Cail said as he looked at the trees outside.

Their topic was very serious when, all of a sudden, they were almost knocked out by a strong smell of perfume. Iven pushed Oris, who was nudging against him.

Covering his nose, he pointed at him. "Did you bathe in perfume?!"

Cail got it worse. He was a void user, so his sense of smell was stronger than normal. He felt a wave of dizziness from the perfume Oris was wearing.

"Is that a weapon of some sort?" It was pungent.

Oris’ excitement was dampened by their reaction.

"You ignorant swines."

"What you’re smelling is not perfume! This is money! This is elegance."

Cail stepped away from him.

It would probably sell well if used in small quantities, but this? Cail had a headache.

Oris felt that they were too ignorant to appreciate its greatness, so he went off to show it to other people.

Some recognized the perfume and praised Oris. They also looked like they despised him. It was probably because of the show-off behavior and lack of class. Oris noticed it but didn’t point it out.

"It’s not like he’s going to lose money because some people hate him."

Cail sat back in his seat and rested his head on the desk. He looked around the classroom and saw that everyone was listless after coming back to school. Auren had already gone back to his classroom.

What they were doing now was just waiting for the teacher.

Cail looked out of the window when, all of a sudden, he saw a black shadow pass through the scenery. It happened so suddenly, but Cail’s sharp eyes caught what it was. It was a human body. Probably a girl since he saw a skirt pass through.

WHAM!

The loud sound of something hitting the ground was soon followed by ear-piercing screams from the students outside.

Cail’s classmates were drawn to the noise. They ran toward the window and peeked down.

"Bleeeegh!" Some of them vomited immediately, while others recoiled in disgust. Cail was already up from his seat. He had an idea of what had happened. Someone had either jumped or fallen from the building.

"What’s happening?!"

"Who fell down? Did someone just commit suicide?"

Students inside the classrooms were panicking. The class monitor banged the table.

"Silence! All of you sit down."

Everyone calmed down a bit. Although they were shaken, it wasn’t them who had jumped. But one student in particular was just staring out the window at the dead body below.

Her friends pulled her away from the scene, but she pushed them away. She seemed to have finally come back to her senses. Her knees buckled to the ground as she let out the most painful scream.

"THAT’S MY SISTER!"

The class monitor was stunned. She looked at the devastated student and walked toward her.

"Close the curtains! It wouldn’t be good to keep staring at the mangled body of our loved ones."

Everyone was now speechless. They never expected that a classmate of theirs would have a sister who was the girl who fell. More tragically, she had even seen the body and the fall.

"Someone pushed her! My sister would never kill herself! An hour ago, we were still making plans about where to go after school!" The girl was now having a mental breakdown. She wouldn’t stand up from the floor, so everyone had to carry her to a seat. She seemed close to fainting, her lips pale as a sheet.

She looked at her classmates through her teary eyes.

"Someone killed my sister!"

She was very convinced. Her sister’s demeanor didn’t look like she was about to do something drastic. It hadn’t even been an hour since their last goodbye. How could this happen?

Cail narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. It was just out of curiosity when he turned on his glasses just now. But unexpectedly, he discovered that this classmate of his had void energy surrounding her body.
