Chapter 84: Marriage of Aeryon

Chapter 84: Marriage of Aeryon

It did not take long before evening turns to night.

And that night, Kyazan sat peacefully.

And in the morning he calls his sons and told them what he had though off and all of his sons agreed. Then he dismissed his sons as they go hunting and fighting. He sits on his tent with a smile.

It might not work. But if it does work, then he would turn this threat into an opportunity. The plan he had concocted does not leave the confines of his tent.

The reason he told his son the moment he woke up from his sleep is because he has nightmare that night

Kyazan is old and the cold wind of the Steppe had entered his body many times. He fears that he would die before the year ended.

And if he did not tell his plans to his sons, he fears that no one would know what he planned.

Knowing his sons, they probably would take this tribe and run them to the ground. Kyazan does love his children.

Which is very different from some of the other chief of the Steppe.

His feeling toward his concubine and wife is also sincere and his love for his children is also sincere.

But, he also understood reality.

His sons, none of them have the talent of governing the tribe. A

s for the Elders, they are also not that powerful.. Each tribe have elders in the Great Steppe. But the power of an Elder of each tribe is different.

Some become formalized and incorporated into the tribal politics. And some are just elders who are old and wise and have no power to spur the tribe into action.

Korun tribe fell into the category of the latter

Because of that, he should tell his sons what they should do if somehow he is dead. Now, finishing that he rested again.

His body become weaker by the day.

In the afternoon, he got up from a long nap. And he went to the Ashana to ask from some herb.

After consuming the herb from Ashana, Kyazan quickly succumbed to sleep.

To his relief, the nightmares that had plagued him ceased that night.

As morning arrived, news reached him of rumours circulating about the Brolgadhr tribe’s movements.

This came as no surprise to Kyazan; he had anticipated it.

He waited for another day, and then another few days had passed. A shocking news came to him

He learned that the Brolgadhr tribe had successfully persuaded another smaller tribe to surrender.

Although the tribe held a modest size and had yet to reach a hundred men, Kyazan understood the power of incremental growth.

The small tribe is on the area around Aeryon new territory so it is not like a well-established tribe. They also took that tribe in peacefully. So, no one could say anything.

Aeryon offers them food and area for their horses to run around and area for their livestock to graze.

Aeryon tribe is gradually becoming stronger with each addition, and Kyazan remained calm in the face of this expansion.

Before, if he has heard Aeryon expand his tribe, he would be very afraid. But now, he is very calm.

If his plan work, it would be even better if Aeryon tribe expand even more. And he hoped that Utgard tribe would also expand even more

Seated within his tent, Kyazan received the report from one of his scouts, indicating the westward expansion of the Brolgadhr tribe.

However, in the afternoon, another scout brought him further news that brought a cunning smile to his face.

Aeryon had married the daughter of Garron, the chief of the Utgard tribe. With this development, Kyazan plan began to take shape, and he felt a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

"So, it begins," he whispered to himself, letting out a laughter filled with anticipation.

He knew he was about to embark on a high-stakes gamble that would determine the fate of his tribe.

With unwavering determination, Kyazan declared to himself, "I’m all in."

He understood the risks involved, but he was prepared to leave a lasting legacy for his tribe, even if it meant facing the possibility of their complete eradication from the annals of the Great Steppe’s history.

He is about to make a gamble in the future and if his gamble is good, then he would leave a path for his tribe.

If not, his tribe would be eradicated from the history of the Great Steppe.

"I’m all in" he repeated to himself.

...

Aeryon eyes opened, and as he gradually regained full consciousness, he swiftly rose from his bed within the tent.

It took a moment for him to fully register his surroundings, realizing that he was indeed inside a tent.

He cast a glance back at the bed and let out a sigh.

"Humans are truly fascinating beings," he pondered to himself.

Reflecting on his experiences since transmigrating into this world as Aeryon, he marvelled at the adaptability of the human spirit.

Initially, he had felt a sense of discomfort and unfamiliarity with the customs and way of life of the Marynku people.

The stark differences from his own previous existence had posed a significant adjustment.

Recalling the discomfort, he had felt in his back before going to sleep, Aeryon contemplated the changes that had occurred over the course of nearly a month.

The ache he once experienced had become a mundane part of his existence, blending into the backdrop of his daily life.

As time passed, he found himself adapting to the physical demands and rigors of this new world.

Aeryon stepped out of his tent and made his way to the designated washing area he had arranged within his tent.

There, he had created a makeshift sink-like structure where he could cleanse his face in the morning.

As he splashed the cool water onto his skin, he felt refreshed and invigorated.

Leaving the confines of his tent, Aeryon noticed the guards stationed nearby who were taken aback by his sudden appearance.

However, he reassured them with a simple gesture, indicating that they should continue their duties uninterrupted.

Turning his attention skyward, he observed the faint glow of pre-dawn light.

"The sun has yet to rise," he noted to himself, estimating that it would only be around half an hour before the first rays of dawn graced the horizon.

As a habit he had developed in this new world, Aeryon had adjusted his sleeping patterns to retire early and rise with the early morning light.

It allowed him to make the most of each day

Though, it is also because there is not much entertainment in this world.

As the days passed, Aeryon found himself adjusting to the lack of entertainment in this new world.

Initially, the absence of distractions and amusements was disconcerting, akin to an addict going through withdrawal.

However, after a week of withdrawal, he began to regain his focus.

In this simple and untainted world, devoid of the technological advancements and distractions he was accustomed to, Aeryon started to appreciate the purity and tranquillity it offered.

The early mornings and early nights allowed him to synchronize his body with the natural rhythms of the world, and he found that it contributed to a sense of improved well-being and health.

Whether it was the unpolluted nature of this world or the simple act of sleeping early, Aeryon couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause.

Perhaps it was a combination of both factors.

Whatever the reason, he had grown accustomed to this routine and no longer dwelled on the absence of entertainment.

Instead, he focused his energy on the tasks at hand and the challenges that lay before him. He has a bold plan and bold plan requires commitments and the utmost focus

He look back at his tent and he shook his head. He had no desire to go back to sleep. He had just gotten married to Ayera yesterday

It was tiring and foreign for him. And he learns many things.

As Aeryon reflected on the events of his wedding day, he couldn’t help but notice the stark contrast between his own ceremony and that of his father’s.

While his father’s wedding had been a simple affair, marked by modest rituals, Aeryon union with Ayera was a lavish and extravagant celebration.

The Elders of the tribe, recognizing the significance of the occasion and their close familial ties to Aeryon, spared no expense in ensuring that his wedding would be a grand affair.

What he means by that was that the Elders make his wedding like a feast that has never seen before in his tribe.

Though he could understand why. Most of his elders and even the Ashana is related to him. So, seeing him married is like seeing their son get married.

Their aim was not only to honour the union of Aeryon and Ayera but also to showcase the prosperity and prestige of the Marynku tribe.

The wedding preparations began days in advance, with the Elders and the Ashana meticulously planning every detail.

The central area of the settlement was transformed into a breath-taking venue, adorned with vibrant banners, colourful fabrics, and the tribe motifs.

The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation and excitement as the tribe eagerly awaited the union of their beloved Aeryon.

On the day of the wedding, the families and clans of the bride and groom gathered together in a designated location.

A specially constructed ceremonial stage served as the focal point of the celebration. It was intricately decorated with ornate fabrics, flowers, and symbolic elements that represented the union of two tribes coming together.

The ceremony commenced with a captivating procession, where Aeryon and Ayera, accompanied by their close relatives and friends, made their way towards the ceremonial stage.

Fortunately, enough, there was no problem there on his side

As for Ayera side, while Garron could not come, he send his sons as representative.

Their arrival was met with cheers and applause from the assembled guests, further heightening the festive ambiance.

Aeryon, dressed in his finest traditional attire, presented Ayera with a stunning array of gifts.

These included exquisite jewellery, crafted with intricate designs and adorned with precious stones, symbolizing his deep affection and commitment to her.

The generosity of the gifts showcased his willingness to provide for and protect his bride.

In return, Ayera, representing her Utgard tribe, presented Aeryon with a meticulously tailored garment, resplendent with vibrant colours and delicate embroidery.

The garment was a testament to her love and dedication to becoming his partner in life.

Alongside the garment, she offered a trinket and sculpture that represented the heritage and culture of her tribe, solidifying the merging of their two worlds.

One in particular was a sculpture of something the Utgard tribe called the White Giants.
