Mayeux was about to persuade Aeryon to abandon this idea of moving north when the west is not yet decided but when Aeryon said Wustkazan suddenly Mayeux stopped.

Mayeux seem to be thinking of something. It is not that they did not have a northern plan. It is just that at the time when they were formulating the plan, the forces in the north are not simple

But when Aeryon said that he wanted to attack Wustkazan, Mayeux first instinct was to say that Aeryon is confused but then he thought to himself how could Aeryon forget the complicated forces and dynamic of the tribes in the north

And it is only then that he remembers something. There is something that has changed in the north.

And it is a big change. And suddenly everything clicked at once.

" Forcing Utgard to clarify their stance!" he exclaims as he look at Aeryon with a smile

Mayeux could guess now what Aeryon wanted to do. Aeryon smiles when he listen to what Mayeux said. He did not say anything else and let Mayeux thinks.

Mayeux paced around in the tent and the more he paces around, the clear his mind become and then a smile appears on his face.

"It could be done. Probably this is the only time it could be done. If we wait a little bit later, this opportunity might be close"

Aeryon smiles.

When Ayera spoke to him about the problem between Kazan and Utgard he did have intention to help Utgard tribe.

of course, he is not helping Utgard tribe without reason.

After all, he has his tribe to think about.

But then as he was thinking of how to help yet not weaken his tribe and rear another tiger, he thought of something else.

So, the next morning after the talk he goes to his war tent look at the map and he notices something.

It is the map and the grand plan that Mayeux had concocted before that made him see something.

Before, Mayeux made the plan of taking the west and he account for most of the reaction of the tribe around the Brolgadhr area.

But Aeryon then notices something. Mayeux is a smart and scheming man. He accounts the reaction of Utgard, Kazan tribes and its splinter, and even take into consideration of what the east would do.

it is almost like he reads the hearts of these people.

Mayeux believe that Kazan would not come down.

If Aeryon sent most of his men toward the west, then maybe the Kazan tribe would be interested in taking some of the area but not only the Kazan is not confident in trying to attack their tribe there is also the fact that Utgard, their ally is also an ally of the Brolgadhr tribe.

Mayeux also thought of Utgard reaction, and as for the further east, there is Korun tribe to act as a wall if the eastern forces wanted to expand toward the west.

Korun tribe would give them a heads up and even might ask for their help if the eastern forces break through all of the tribes in between

But.....there is one thing that Mayeux did not account for

And that is the death and life of these chief that he had plotted against.

Specifically in this matter, the death of the Kazan chief

And because of that, Aeryon notices something.

An opportunity that lies because of this sudden change that could not be predicted in advance

Kazan and Utgard are allies

They are allies and they both are getting stronger. They make use of each other well

The Kazan uses Utgard tribe to destroy other tribe and strengthen themselves. It is the same for the Utgard tribe.

The Kazan tribe has a long heritage and is slightly stronger than Utgard tribe. Not to mention, the fact that they are a tribe with long legacy.

Even if Utgard tribe is stronger than the Kazan tribe, if the Kazan tribe complains to the Ashana and the Ashana plead some chief to help the Kazan tribe, then Utgard tribe would be ganged up

Both of them are in a beneficial relationship. And there is one thing that is certain

If the old chief is still alive, he would not join hands with the Esbizuk tribe.

It is because the old chief was cautious and prudent in his decision. Kazan new chief is different. He is more ambitious and bolder.

And he is probably more talented than his father in certain things.

Nobody wanted to help them because they knew that Esbizuk tribe is in a cage. The best solution to tame this wild wolf, is to let him be beaten and exhausted.

Sordkazan and Estkazan is also trapped in the east.

They did not dare pierce the Korun tribe because then they have to be neighbours with the Brolgadhr tribe.

Aeryon and Mayeux both wanted all of these forces to fight to the death in the east and when they are done and broken, Aeryon would swoop in to get all the benefits.

But the death of the Kazan chief and the subsequent succession problem, the new chief has some differences with the policy of his father.

And Garron action of taking the land of Rudya does not exactly foster trust. But, it also create a new situation.

And Aeryon could see it.

Utgard tribe, because of Garron action has isolated themselves.

Garron miscalculated.

This is because Garron mistakenly think that everyone would move according to his wishes.

But the current chief of the Kazan is not the same chief of Kazan before. If it was before, the old chief of Kazan could smile and take the reconciliation gift easily.

There is a trust between them. Not a trust between friends but trust between allies that are connected with interest and survival.

But the new chief sees it as entirely different view from his father. Garron attitude and the new chief of Kazan attitude is polar opposite.

To the chief of Kazan, he could not trust Garron and instead seek a different avenue for a different purpose.

And in turn, this has made the firm alliance between the two tribes sway. And this is something good for Aeryon.

Just like Mayeux had said, he now could force Utgard to shows his attitude, clarify their stance and cut them off from their allies.

That is why Aeryon choose Wustkazan.

He could not choose Nergui tribe.

That is the Cha Ner Ul alliance. Chagai, Nergui and Ultar tribe alliance.

If he attacks now, all that credibility he had built up and the words he had given Chagai would be nullified.

Not to mention all three tribes would fight against him and such fight would benefit others.

Aeryon does not have so much time in his hand to poke this hornet nest right now

Then there is the reputation he have with keeping his word.

Contrary to the belief of the Yan people, the people of the Steppe keep their words more than the Yan people changes their face

Reputation is something important but Aeryon is not bound by it that much. Especially not when it is about conquering the world.

If he really have no choice, he would not mind attacking Nergui tribe.

But that is not the case right now.

The Cha Ner Ull Alliance is now attacking the Haltur tribe and they have their own shares of problem they need to worry about. They could not make a move to the east.

They are pinned down.

This is the first obstacle removed easily

What about Kazan?

Kazan is attacking Estkazan with Esbizuk tribe.

They are also preoccupied.

Kazan especially.

Kazan strategy is ow clear in Aeryon mind.

They want to go down south and take down both Sordkazan and Estkazan.

That is the only reason why the Kazan chief would make an alliance with the Esbizuk tribe and unleash that caged wolf.

Then who could defend Wustkazan?

Nogai tribe?

They could not.

They probably worried that the Vihur tribe that is coming down south more than he worried about the Brolgadhr tribe.

As for the neighbour on the east of Wustkazan, it is Utgard tribe.

Wustkazan is vulnerable. No one could help them. Even if they want to, they could not help the Wustkazan tribe.

And this is the beauty of Aeryon plan. Aeryon would simply need to send a message.

"You take Rudya land and I will acknowledge it while I will attack Wustkazan and you should not interfere"

Utgard attack Rudya and defeated it with the help of Kazan tribe. But the land has to be returned back to the Kazan tribe.
