Chapter 47: Finishing off the Stolks

Chapter 47: Finishing off the Stolks

The skies above the Ghost Village trembled with black smoke as fires raged across the distant northern walls. Chaos poured through every crack in the once impenetrable defenses.

The Stolks—grotesque, monkey-like demons with blood-red eyes and knotted limbs—had launched a surprise raid with shocking precision. Their numbers surged through the outskirts like a demonic tide, their guttural howls piercing the morning air.

Lady Fares stood at the heart of the war chamber with Alice. The echoes of the alarm horns still rang through the corridors of the Ghost Palace.

"Another attack!!" Alice exclaimed.

"They moved faster than expected." Lady Fares said, narrowing her eyes at the map sprawled across the war table.

"No doubt Coris had a hand in this," Alice muttered. Her fists clenched.

" We must get her and make her pay for this."

Alice’s face darkened. She adjusted her gloves, already clad in a light armor that shimmered with spectral shadow patterns.

"Then we make them pay. We hold the north and wipe out the wave.Queen Fares, Alice—you both take command of your squads and secure the inner city."

Lady Fares nodded without hesitation. "The Ghost Forces will follow. We’ve been preparing for this."

"And I’ll take Lillian with me to the northern front," Dominic added as he stared at her mighty boobs. All wanted now was to touch them. "We’ll deal with whatever monster is leading this new horde."

In the Northern District

Dominic marched alongside Lillian, her white-gray cloak trailing behind her. Lillian was an erotic commander—slim, tall, and elegant with pale violet eyes and hair tied into a single tight braid. But behind her beauty was a reputation for unrelenting precision and violence on the battlefield.

"Would you mind if we got into something for a moment?" Dominic asked not able to control himself any longer. Her swayed motion had forced out his words.

Lillian turned sharply and he bursted right into her. Her face lingered on his long enough. Dominic smiled lightly.

"What exactly?" She asked erotically. Dominic smiled. Better to show her than to speak it. He thought to himself.

He leaned closer and just as she was about to speak, his mouth grazed over her lips. The sharp kiss caught her off guard and she nearly stumbled. He caught her arm and wrapped it on his waist and guided her to a wall.

Then he released her from the tight kiss. She stared at him wanting to ask many questions and at the same time, a mix of feelings flooded in her.

"OK so what do you want?" She asked again. Dominic closed in and greased his hands over her right boob.

A sense of erotica filled her and she quivered under his touch. He smiled.

"I want this." he said calmly and withdrew. Lillian shivered lightly and said nothing. She just gazed at him.

They began to walk on again, trying their best to forget what had just happened. As they reached the northern barricade, they saw the carnage. Several outposts had already fallen. The Stolks were climbing over walls, leaping from rooftops with terrifying agility. Civilians had been evacuated, but the destruction was undeniable.

Dominic and Lillian stood at the edge of the battlefield, where over a hundred female warriors—Ghosts and military elite—were locked in vicious combat.

"We need to hit them hard and draw their leader out," Lillian said without looking at him.

Dominic nodded lightly. "Let’s go."

Meanwhile the Alice Squad.

Alice moved like a blur, her blades slicing through the twisted flesh of two charging Stolks. Her squad moved in tight formations, coordinated and fluid.

"Left flank, reinforce!" she shouted.

The women responded instantly. Spears and shadow-forged blades glinted in the fires as they formed a crescent formation, trapping a large pack of howling Stolks.

The enemies fought like mad beasts—biting, clawing, swinging crude, jagged blades. One of Alice’s lieutenants, Serah, was grabbed mid-strike and flung into a wall. Her head was brutally broken on the wall instantly. Everyone gasped.

"Stop staring and fight!!" Slice thundered too emotional to stare on.Her squad moved to close the gap instantly.

"Keep the rhythm!" Alice shouted. "Don’t let them break your stance!"

Back at the Northen Wall.

Dominic drew his twin shadow blades and dashed into the fray. He wasn’t as ruthless as Lillian, but his technique was swift and graceful—he moved through Stolks like an assassin, disabling them with precise strikes to the head and throat.

Lillian, however, was a storm.

She tore through the demons with her halberd, cutting three down in a single sweep. Her power pulsed through her weapon, and each strike sent Stolks flying with broken bones and shattered spines.

A horn blew.

Then silence.

Dominic paused, his senses flaring.

A figure approached through the smoke—twice the size of any Stolk. Clad in black armor etched with demonic sigils, his presence warped the air around him.

Commander Erthan Sol.

An S-Rank warrior. The leader of the Seventh Grade Stolk Warriors.

The female soldiers staggered back. Even Lillian’s expression tensed.

Erthan Sol grinned, revealing teeth like chipped obsidian.

"You must be the one called Dominic," he said in a deep, guttural voice. "I’ve come to cut the head off the Ghosts and get you alive."

Dominic stepped forward, blades in hand. "Try it."

Erthan Sol dashed forward, faster than expected for his size. The ground split beneath his feet as he drove a brutal punch toward Dominic. Dominic raised both swords and crossed them to block, the impact pushing him backward several meters.

Lillian didn’t wait—she came in from the side, her halberd arcing toward the commander’s ribs. But Erthan twisted and grabbed the weapon mid-air. With a roar, he flung Lillian across the battlefield.

Dominic lunged, using his Shadow Dance technique to warp behind Erthan and slash at his legs. But Erthan’s body was too tough—his armor blocked the strike, and he countered with a spinning backhand that Dominic barely ducked.

They fought for minutes, clashing again and again—each time Dominic barely evaded a fatal blow.

"This is getting interesting," Erthan muttered, drawing his massive obsidian blade. "I was told you were just a boy with tricks."

Lillian returned, bruised but enraged. She roared and jabbed forward with blinding speed. Dominic joined her, both of them coordinating their movements.

For the next ten minutes, the battlefield held its breath as the two warriors took on the beast. Blood, sparks, and smoke filled the air.

Finally, Dominic used Massacre Domain. Shadows flared across his body. His speed tripled. He slashed in from the side just as Lillian struck from above.

Their combined attack shattered Erthan’s armor at the shoulder. He roared in pain. Dominic leapt and stabbed both blades through his chest.

Erthan fell to his knees.

"Impossible..." he muttered as the shadows consumed him.

Meanwhile, Alice and Lady Fares led their forces to surround and eliminate the remaining Seventh Grade Warriors. Their strategy—flanking attacks and trap corridors—paid off. One by one, the high-ranking Stolk warriors fell.

By dusk, the last of the invaders had been slain or driven off.

The Ghost Village stood. A looming death had been prevented. A good reason to celebrate though.
