Chapter 57 Gravity Strength Index
Chapter 57: Chapter 57 Gravity Strength Index
The gas mass ejected by the Ant Nebula has a radius of about two light-years.
With Lu Chen’s current flight speed, it would take quite some time to traverse these two light-years.
To reap substantial benefits before the Supernova Explosion, Lu Chen turned Wandering into an engine, continuously providing acceleration for the planet.
After sustained acceleration by Wandering, the planet’s speed quickly increased from the initial 250KM/S to 500KM/S, and as it delved deeper into the Ant Nebula, the flight speed continued to rise.
During this headwind journey, Lu Chen gained tremendously.
The particle flow, like endless waves, bombarded the planet, continuously being transformed into Intention, and as the amount of Intention increased, Lu Chen could clearly feel the strength of Intention rising like a tide!
This rapid growth felt exhilarating, yet it was different from the exhilaration of the planet’s physical growth; the growth of Intention was like a deep refreshing relief to the soul, causing Lu Chen to unconsciously hum, and as Intention continued to increase massively, this refreshing feeling was incessant, making Lu Chen’s "soul" involuntarily shudder.
Eventually, due to the excessive amount of Intention, Lu Chen allocated some of the unused Intention directly to Wandering.
Wandering, after receiving the reward, became even more spirited, excitedly bombarding the engine, looking so unlike the past, one might think Lu Chen had been abusing his underling!
Besides the rapid increase in Intention, Lu Chen’s overall aspects were also improving.
After all, the Constant Star Wind contains not only various particle flows but also various material flows.
Since Constant Star Wind is a phenomenon where a constant star ejects its material, it represents a manifestation of constant star mass loss, the greater the Constant Star Wind, the faster the consumption of constant star mass!
At Lu Chen and Wandering’s current location, the Gravity Strength of Constant Star Wind has reached two million times that of Solar Wind, doubling since at the edge of the Ant Nebula.
In the intense Constant Star Wind, many meteorites, due to their high speed, broke free from Lu Chen’s gravity restraint, directly crashing heavily onto the planet surface.
Although Lu Chen did not want to absorb other substances, in such times it was inevitable, in order to absorb enough hydrogen element, other substances were unavoidable.
Fortunately, the Supernova at the center of the Ant Nebula is a medium-mass star, ejecting abundant hydrogen.
All along, Lu Chen had been using gravity to wildly absorb this, quickly increasing his planet’s mass to 200 planet masses.
In the mass he added, 99% was hydrogen, plus some hydrogen elements from the previous atmosphere and crust, now, hydrogen elements comprised about fifty percent of his planet mass ratio!
This was a cause for celebration!
However, sadness and pain loomed greater in Lu Chen’s heart than happiness.
Because the ejected hydrogen by the Supernova was substantial, it was not only directed towards Lu Chen but spread out in all directions.
Seeing the nearly endless hydrogen drifting away from himself, Lu Chen felt like he was missing out on billions, with heartache so intense it was hard to breathe.
And what added to Lu Chen’s pain was.
Even the hydrogen heading his way, he couldn’t completely absorb it.
Because the thrust produced by the Supernova was too great, accelerating many light elements to half the speed of light, such fast speeds easily broke free from his gravitational hold.
Half the speed of light is 150,000 KM/S, meaning the Gravity Strength required to absorb was 150,000.
Lu Chen could currently only increase up to just over 20,000, far from 150,000, and in the Universe, perhaps only Black Holes possess such immense gravity!
Black Holes, capable of absorbing light, mean their Gravity Strength exceeds 300,000.
Thus, Lu Chen, propelled by the acceleration of Wandering, advanced rapidly towards the Supernova, absorbing various materials that collided with him.
Gradually, the mass of Planet Lu Chen increased to 300 units.
With Hydrogen constituting more than fifty percent, Lu Chen officially became a gas giant!
During the high-speed journey of the planet Lu Chen, the planet’s surface was always accompanied by a dazzling layer of electrical flashes!
This was a layer formed by various charged particles colliding with the planet’s magnetic field at the speed of light, bursting into a myriad of colors, much like an unpredictable rainbow of electrical flashes.
As long as Lu Chen continued deeper, the layer of electrical flashes would only intensify and not diminish.
...
In the Perseus Arm, within the Three-leaf Nebula.
A small mass star slowly began to move.
Although this star was small in mass, it was not young in age.
In its stellar mass, the proportion of Hydrogen had fallen to around forty percent, having undergone nuclear fusion for over eight billion years.
It could be said that it was an old star nearing the end of its lifespan, yet it was not content to simply become a White Dwarf Star. After a long search, it finally found the Three-leaf Nebula.
After precise calculations, the uniqueness of the Three-leaf Nebula should allow it to be reborn.
Thus, in order to await the right moment for rebirth, it had been stationed in the Three-leaf Nebula for nearly a hundred million years.
One day, the Ant Nebula, more than thirty light-years away from the Three-leaf Nebula, was about to erupt. The intense light emitted from the center’s Supernova even illuminated the Three-leaf Nebula.
Seeing this, the old star desired to witness the spectacle of the Ant Nebula’s eruption.
Firstly, it aimed to absorb more Hydrogen to sustain its life longer; secondly, it wanted to observe the Supernova Explosion in advance, so when its moment of rebirth arrived, it would have sufficient experience to cope.
After some time, this old star finally traveled from the Three-leaf Nebula to the vicinity of the Ant Nebula.
The old star chose a position where the Constant Star Wind was relatively weak and headed towards the Supernova at the center of the Ant Nebula.
Along the way, it naturally absorbed the Hydrogen it passed by, though the Hydrogen here was less abundant compared to areas with stronger Constant Star Wind.
Nevertheless, it didn’t mind.
After all, its focus wasn’t on the Ant Nebula.
When it had covered half the distance, it unexpectedly spotted another special planet in a different direction.
This planet was moving against the strong Constant Star Wind and at an exceptionally fast speed, even faster than its own.
"Heh, is it in a rush to go die? Afraid it won’t make it to the Supernova Explosion, huh?"
"However, looking at the back of that planet, it seems like it has an accelerator, which is quite rare. It appears that the planet might be part of a Celestial Civilization, and from its rear thrusters, it seems to be a life symbiosis with the organisms living on the planet."
"I must admit, life symbioses have significant advantages in the Universe, at least they can assist each other in situations like this. But no matter what capabilities you have, you absolutely cannot withstand a Supernova Explosion; rushing into it is merely seeking death!"
The old star watched that planet from afar, scoffing coldly.
