Wandering Meteor -
Chapter 55 Visit Black Hole
Chapter 55: Chapter 55 Visit Black Hole
Time flows like water, years pass like a shuttle.
In the following period, Lu Chen used the Gravity Stone to plunder the atmospheres of qualified planets within the Windmill Star System, then he and Wandering headed towards the center of the Windmill Star System.
They decided to visit the Black Hole at the center of the Windmill Star System.
After all, Black Holes have always been very terrifying and mysterious entities in the Universe, and it was Lu Chen and Wandering’s first encounter with a Black Hole, naturally, they couldn’t control their curiosity.
However, they dared not get too close, as the gravitational pull of the Black Hole was too horrific, and being too close, no one knew what kind of accidents might occur, so they only dared to observe it from a distance, just like viewing a tiger through glass at a zoo.
Looking from afar, the Black Hole at the center of the Windmill Star System appeared immensely large, exhibiting an emptiness and profound darkness, impossible to see directly, Lu Chen was only able to judge the size of the Black Hole based on the Accretion Disk surrounding it.
The Accretion Disk is a structural phenomenon revolving around the central celestial body, composed of interstellar diffuse material, including but not limited to interstellar material, gases, rays, lights, etc.
These interstellar materials are captured by the gravity of the Black Hole, slowly falling towards the Black Hole, and before being absorbed by the Black Hole, they accumulate into a very large special structure around the Black Hole.
This structure is known as the Accretion Disk.
The Accretion Disk in front of us is immensely large, with a diameter of about two light-years, even larger than the Black Hole itself.
Anyone who enters the range of the Black Hole’s Accretion Disk struggles to escape the horrendous gravity of the Black Hole, similar to the planet’s Roche limit, thus Lu Chen and Wandering only dared to observe the Black Hole from outside the Accretion Disk.
Unfortunately, the Black Hole was pitch-black, not allowing any observation of its state.
It seems that to truly understand the Black Hole, one would probably have to enter inside it.
However, with Lu Chen’s current strength, incapable of even combating the gravity of the Black Hole, of course, he dared not rashly enter the unknown and hazardous interior of the Black Hole.
He tried sensing the mass of the Black Hole from afar with Consciousness Particles, trying to find out just how heavy a Black Hole indeed is, but unfortunately with his current strength of Consciousness Particles, he couldn’t sense the mass of such a gigantic celestial body.
Thus, after making some futile attempts, Lu Chen and Wandering reluctantly flew away from the Windmill Star System.
The Windmill Star System is located at the small tail of Orion’s spiral arm; when Lu Chen flew away from the Windmill Star System, it signified leaving the Orion spiral arm.
If the sparse celestial zones in the Universe are likened to barren suburbs, then such a spiral arm that accumulates a large number of celestial bodies is equivalent to a very huge celestial city.
When Lu Chen left the city of the Orion spiral arm, he entered the desolate zone between Orion and Perseus.
Since there were few celestial bodies along the way, Lu Chen, having nothing else to do, began checking the gains from this journey.
Speaking of which, the journey to the Windmill Star System was a significant gain not just for Lu Chen, but Wandering as well.
Wandering, originally just a Metallic Meteorite, after absorbing the Natural Magnetic Mountain, fleets of Yin Yang Civilization, and Super Battleships of Pirate Civilization, grew into a Metallic Magnetic Planet, with a diameter of over 30,000 meters, and the mass of a Planet!
Of course, the gains for Lu Chen were also tremendous.
Lu Chen now has a planetary mass of 120, having increased by 20, which he accumulated laboriously through plundering planetary atmospheres.
Before entering the Windmill Star System, Lu Chen’s mass was merely 2 planetary masses, but after a series of struggles, Lu Chen’s planetary mass increased by 60 times!
His planet now has a diameter of 80,000 kilometers, and its gravity extends up to 5,000,000 kilometers. The temperature at the Earth’s core reaches over 18,000 degrees, and both the crust and mantle are thick and hard. After absorbing a large amount of gases later on, a dense atmosphere has formed around the solid star core, beginning its transition towards becoming a gas giant!
Besides the physical gains of the planet, Lu Chen, after slaying Feather Robe Star, obtained the latter’s blank Consciousness Particles, causing his own volume and intensity of Consciousness Particles to rapidly soar.
This was much faster than converting Cosmic Rays.
And as the strength of the Consciousness Particles rapidly increased, the range of the Consciousness Field expanded further, reaching 100,000 meters outside the planet.
Furthermore, while absorbing fragments of Feather Robe Star, Lu Chen also obtained Gravity Stone, a peculiar material that is neither metal nor stone. These Gravity Stones can individually increase the upper limit of gravity, making it possible for Lu Chen to plunder other planets’ atmospheres, greatly saving much effort and time, truly a perfect solution!
Finally, Lu Chen transformed the interstellar material he no longer needed into a Star Ring.
If celestial bodies also cared about looking cool, then Lu Chen with a Star Ring could definitely be considered handsome!
He reflected on the past events after leaving the Solar System.
While flying through the wild zone between two spiral arms.
Unconsciously, a lot of time had passed.
This time in the Barbaric Sky Region was the farthest in history, and both Lu Chen and Wandering were once again plunged into that numb state of gloomy, sunless days, not knowing their position, not knowing the passage of time.
Although this situation had occurred before, compared to this time, those were merely minor spells.
This time, Lu Chen and Wandering could not help but suspect if they had fallen into everlasting night, the endless darkness seemed like a black hole they could never fly out of, had they been captured by the Black Hole Gravity while observing the black hole? Was everything afterwards just their own illusion?
Without this thought, it would have been fine, but once this idea emerged, Lu Chen and Wandering both started to feel somewhat uneasy.
The two spheres immediately communicated with each other to confirm this.
However, their understanding of everything was consistent, with no deviations, proving they probably hadn’t fallen into a black hole.
Nevertheless, just to be safe, Lu Chen began checking his own Intention (Consciousness Particles)—if it were an illusion, then the information recorded in the Intention would definitely differ from the actual information.
In this way, amidst the endless darkness, more unknown time passed.
Suddenly, light appeared ahead, dispelling all their doubts.
They were so overjoyed they almost wanted to embrace each other, but their spherical bodies hindered a hug, otherwise they definitely would have had a strong embrace.
Lu Chen couldn’t help but feel moved, thinking how wise it had been to revive Wandering in the past; otherwise, this endless wandering in the darkness would really drive a sphere crazy.
Darkness itself might not be terrifying, but it’s the limited psychological understanding of darkness that creates a horror effect, whether it’s biological life or celestial life, there is no difference in this respect.
The light in the distance grew brighter and brighter, more and more light became visible, gradually revealing the source of the light.
It was a very strangely shaped nebula; the Central Constant Star at the center was emitting large amounts of gas and dust to both sides. These materials formed two diffused gas clouds under the influence of gravity, and the connecting point was the blazing Central Constant Star, looking from afar like an enormously magnified ant.
This was the Ant Nebula!
Lu Chen couldn’t help but feel delighted, realizing that he had finally crossed the wild zone between the two spiral arms and had arrived at the edge of the Perseus arm!
