Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]
Chapter 218: The Power In Numbers

Chapter 218: The Power In Numbers

[THE FREE LANDS]

"He just passed here. We need to get to him and Akuila before they get to the Lycan palace. That way we can use them as a bargain for the Lycan king. That man has made our lives difficult and it is time we get what we have always wanted from him.

"He wants to give us back our people or let us know if they are dead or alive. Surely that shouldn’t be a lot to ask of a man who has spent his life terrorizing the realm, right?" a man with long grey hair spoke as he looked at his group that was in the same regalia.

They had weapons in their hands and all over their bodies like they had known the war was not going to be easy for them.

This was not what they had thought possible but after the king’s proud declaration of what needed to be last evening, everyone was using the window that they had been given.

None of them had expected that Igor Konstantin would be out of the place despite the announcement of his omega nature. They had expected that he would be back in the palace trying to figure out how to make the next perfect nest.

Instead, he was out and released into the world as none of the shit that had happened that evening had truly happened. That wasn’t what they needed to embrace right now, and the sooner they got done with the mad king, the sooner they would be able to get a portion of their lives back.

It was their wish, but with King Zaffuto, wishes would sometimes remain just that. The man had no regard for life and he didn’t care that so many people would be screwed over because of him.

Perhaps That was why these people had gathered to deal with Igor Konstantin. But was there a chance at a win for them or were they about to walk the talk and spread the possible faith of doom?

"This is too risky, are you sure about this, Mick?" another man asked and the man who had been talking early, Mick, looked at him hopefully.

It was almost like this was the only thing they could afford to do for themselves because the sun and the mind had left them alone at the mercy of a man who knew nothing of love and hate.

A man who had spent his life being the horror that most of them ran from.

It was crazy how they had gotten to the point, but Zaffuto Hinata had long broken so many families before he had changed to be the crazy mess he was right now.

Maybe he had slowed down on the murders, but he was still the monster who killed with ease and the only way to teach him a lesson was throughout the omega that the kingdom of Kawai had been fortunate to have.

"If you want to back out, this is the time, otherwise, we won’t be able to turn back after this, the sun is already going down and we just have to wait for Ifor and Akila on the edge of the forest.

"They will be there I am sure of it because that is where they keep the bounties they catch and where they portal them to the respective places for the bounty fee," Mick said and the men just stared.

They were not sure if this was a good idea but honestly, it was way better than sitting and doing nothing. Maybe that was probably the most unhinged of things that they had ever done, but then again, there weren’t that many choices for them.

Life was here with them. Fate was treating them in the only way that none of them ever understood and now there was a chance that they could fight back and take what was theirs.

It was something that they couldn’t give up, no matter what challenges they would be able to face.

There would be a lot of risks on this little mission, but crippling Zaffuto Hinata was more satisfying than the entire process of the chaos that they would have to waddle through. It was dangerous and they knew it, but what else was there for them to do this time?

"There is no point. Let’s go, Mick. Let’s do what we must," the warriors said and together they began walking in the direction that the two bounty hunters had last been seen, they were risking so much by doing this because of the way that Konstanin was known.

They knew that Igor had bested so many of them as an omega and that he would still be able to do the same now that he was a confirmed omega and everyone knew about it.

Maybe that was why Mick had so many wolves in his company as they went to seek out the hunters. This was something that wouldn’t end well for them and yet even then, hope was the one thing that they had dared to hold onto.

It was not fair.

It was not okay.

... But it was hope. And hope ended the wrong way most of the time.

No matter what happened they always had hope because at least with hope they would be able to find their place among the living and the dead. It was that simple, but damn, was it as unexpected as every other little thing.

Maybe life was something that they had to try and work through bit by bit, right?

"Great!" Mick said excitedly, and even as they walked toward the duo, they were convinced that there was power in numbers. That was an interesting analogy, up until the point where they were dumb enough to be going after that which the King treasured.

And yet again there was the question of why the King had let Igor come out after the madness. It was a time of fate, but then they had to wait it out.

With their werewolf claws hitting the ground and the dust spreading in the air leaving a huge trail behind them, Mick and his friends were focused. They didn’t want to lose their only chance at terrorizing the one man who had terrorized them one too many times.

Perhaps it was the most stupid thing that the wolves had ever done, but there had to be power in the number that they had at the moment. Surely a hundred and fifty figure of wolves against an omega Lycan was not that bad, right?

There had to be a win and the wolves seem to have the upper hand.

"I got us an incentive just in case they prove to be strong for us," Terrian, Mick’s friend said when they took their first pause, theory minutes later.

He was just another wolf to anyone, but then again, if anyone dived deep down, they would find scars from a past that had been triggered by Igor Konstantin.

They would find the emotions that never should have existed and a blank space that had been triggered when his father had been marked for bounty and Igor had delivered his father’s head without any body parts just because he wasn’t in a good mood that day to carry an entire body with him.

It was a cruel thing to do and Terrian had hated himself for being such a weak kid. It wasn’t his fault that he had been unable to save his father just like the wolves in this little group, but they all could agree that Konstantin could have delivered them in better ways.

There had to have been better options out there for Igor and the man considered none. In fact, he had done the worst of the worst, cementing his reputation as the man who was not to be toyed with.

He had fucked lives over and again, one too many times and there was a rage that was not to be forgiven. It had to be released and right now, Mick, Terrian, and the others had found the perfect solution.

"What is it?" Mick asked curiously. He knew just how much Terrian despised Igor Konstantin and he knew that there was never going to be a day when Mick had anything good to say about Igor.

It wasn’t that hard, truly because no matter how hard shit got, there was always going to be the strength to find the barbarian of the realm. There was always going to be a crime for them to stop and fight.

It was a risk that he had to take, a risk that could probably burn down their homes and one that would have Zaffuto taking their hands, but at least this time, they wouldn’t be singing in the madness.

They would be doing the other people a favor. It was that easy, and hard at the same time.

"The most precious gas in all of the realm, the one that can never be found with ease. The one that could be used to make omegas submit, even those as strong and powerful as the barbarian of Kawai.

"We have the perfect weapon to trigger him and make sure we have our way with him, just like he had his way without families. And his friend Akila, wouldn’t be able to do shit for him," Terrian said.

Mick stared at the man in shock, this was not something that anyone had thought of in a way.

Maybe it was because they had hoped that they could use omega Lycans, but even then, there was nothing that had ever indicated that there would come a time in the realm when omegas would exist, and that too in the Kawai kingdom. That was strange and unexpected.

"You want to trigger the omega’s heat?" Mick asked and Terrian laughed sinisterly in confirmation.
