Chapter 95: K-I-S-S-I-N-G
When their lips parted Peng Xiu seemed quite reluctant. She grumbled under her breath, making Han Xin’s brows furrow. He was doing this for her in the end, so what was she complaining about? He took another sip of the medicine and pressed their lips together again, forcing her to drink the last of it.
This time, she swallowed all of it without spilling but when he tried to part their lips, she wrapped her hand at the back of his neck and started licking every bit of medicine in his mouth.
Han Xin, "..."
His eyes widened in shock as an inexplicable warmth spread through his body at the feel of her tongue in his mouth. Her lips were soft, and he could feel her breath against his skin.
Xiang Yu deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring Han Xin’s mouth with a hunger that he had never experienced before.
Han Xin’s mind went blank, and he forgot to push her away for a moment. All he could focus on was Peng Xiu and the way she was making him feel.
Meeting no resistance, Xiang Yu soon became unbridled with her hands wandering on Han Xin’s body, feeling the curves and contours. In the unconscious Xiang Yu’s defence, he had had the first taste of this immortal’s Qi making him quite greedy. When they kissed before, he didn’t experience such a blissful feeling because Han Xin was too powerful, but he could take as much as he wanted from this weak soul fragment.
For a half-demon like him, it was an irresistible power much more enticing than that of the demon cores he had absorbed. He ran his fingers through Han Xin’s hair, pulling him closer as he deepened the kiss. He moaned softly, his teeth sinking into the man’s lip.
Xiang Yu bit down hard on his lip, snapping Han Xin back to reality. Pain shot through him, and he pulled away his heart racing. He stared at her, bewildered, as she lay there, her expression more peaceful and content than before. Han Xin touched his lip, feeling the sting where she had bitten him.
’This... did I just,’ he thought in disbelief. His first kiss was gone just like that. How did his administering medicine turn into him losing his first kiss? If he only knew that he had long lost it in an inn to the very same person.
It felt as though she had sucked the life out of him with that kiss, leaving him breathless and confused. He took a step back, trying to steady himself. The carriage seemed to spin, and he struggled to regain his composure.
"You," he exclaimed but the culprit remained silent, her eyes closed, her breathing much relaxed. He knew there was no point in fighting with a sick patient. Who could he blame for this when he was the one who put his lips on hers, giving her an opportunity to take advantage of him?
He turned sharply, his face a storm of emotions as he prepared to leave the carriage. But when he saw Lian and Mei staring at him with wide eyes it quickly turned to embarrassment. It was obvious that they had seen everything that had just happened now. The tips of his ears turned red, and he cleared his throat awkwardly.
"She... she should be fine by evening," he muttered, trying to sound composed. Without waiting for a response, he walked out, his lower lip torn and slightly swollen. The twins watched him go, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion.
Outside, Han Zhan, who had no idea that his cousin with the virtue of a monk, had just made out with the princess, noticed the bruise on Han Xin’s lip as he walked alongside him. His eyes widened having recognised how that bruise might have appeared on his lip.
It could only be as a result of being bitten while kissing, not unless his cousin fell and kissed the ground, hit his lip against something or got punched in his face splitting his lip which was unlikely to have happened in this short space of time. This was the most logical explanation, but he couldn’t believe that his cousin, who never fancied anyone, actually kissed the psycho princess he seemed to dislike greatly.
"Cousin," he began, but before he could ask what had happened, Han Xin cut him off.
"Stay outside," he ordered, his tone leaving no room for argument. He climbed into the carriage, leaving Han Zhan standing there, bewildered. Where was he supposed to go then?
His gaze shifted back to the carriage on the other end and his nosy self couldn’t let this go. He made his way back to Peng Xiu’s carriage, determined to get some answers. He called out in a whisper, "Lian, Mei," only to be met with low sounds of giggling. The twins were laughing like maniacs, their amusement barely contained. His brow arched his curiosity piqued. Mei’s head popped out through the curtain, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "What is it?" she asked, her voice teasing.
Han Zhan felt a flush of embarrassment. He didn’t feel comfortable asking a little girl if her cousin and her master locked lips. He rubbed the back of his head, his eyes shifting nervously. "Did umm... did something happen between General Han and Her Highness?" he finally asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Mei didn’t bother to hide her amusement. The twins had been fully converted, and they had started shipping the pair, naming the ship XinYu. They were ready for it to sail. "Oh, you could say that," she replied, her grin widening.
Han Zhan’s brain almost short-circuited as he tried to process her words. "What do you mean?" he stammered, his curiosity piqued even further.
Mei leaned closer, her voice conspiratorial. "Let’s just say your cousin had a rather... intimate encounter with my master."
His eyes widened in shock, his mind racing with the implications. He could hardly believe what he was hearing. "Intimate?" he echoed, his voice cracking.
Mei nodded, her laughter bubbling up again. "Yes, very intimate. Didn’t you see the cut on his lip? They are going to get married now," chimed in Lian her head popping out through the curtain as well. She was made at Han Xin before but after he saved their master, she would gladly accept him as their master’s wife.
Han Zhan’s face turned red as he imagined the scene. He had never seen Han Xin so flustered, and now he understood why. He backed away, his mind reeling from the revelation. "I need to go... bye," he muttered to himself, feeling as though his brain had been fried by the unexpected news. His cousin really kissed Peng Xiu.
