Chapter 328: Spoiling the family with gifts.

"That makes sense," Han Zhan said. "Anyway, you have to watch it. It’s the most fucking hilarious shit I have seen this year."

Han Xin wasn’t interested. He walked out of the academy premises, nodding at the cadets who greeted him along the way. He got inside the hovercar he had hailed on his communicator.

Han Zhan didn’t stop talking so much so that Han Xin was seriously considering putting him back in the black room when Han Zhan said, "Ah-Xin, you are close to Xiang Yu, right?"

Han Xin was about to say, "Not close", when Han Zhan continued, "Who is his baby? Did you figure it out?"

Han Xin’s chest clenched, his brows furrowed. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"On the live stream, he was calling ’baby’ this, ’baby’ that, hallucinating like crazy. He was even protecting this person so much and flirting. It was so funny," Han Zhan explained.

Han Xin was annoyed. Why didn’t Han Zhan lead with that? "Send the link to me," Han Xin demanded.

"I already did before I called you. Everyone is hunting down this ’baby’ of his. They are even betting on StarNet on who Xiang Yu is in love with," Han Zhan said.

Han Xin tapped the floating screen and began to watch the live stream. "I will see you in twenty minutes," he said to Han Zhan, ending the call.

"Wait, do you know who it—" Han Zhan’s voice was cut off as the call ended.

Watching the live stream, Han Xin’s suspicions were further confirmed. This Xiang Yu wasn’t the original Xiang Yu. Han Xin leaned back in his seat, watching the handsome young man on the screen.

Xiang Yu’s cheek was splattered with purple blood, and he stood amidst the chaos, his hair damp with sweat, clinging to his forehead. His fierce eyes burned with a fire Han Xin had never seen before.

Each time Xiang Yu pulled the trigger, he was precise, like a dance of lethal grace. With a crack of his plasma whip, he sent dazzling arcs of energy through the air, the light reflecting off his features.

There was something undeniably alluring about him at that moment. He was like a warrior in his element, commanding the battlefield with effortless charm.

When Xiang Yu was hallucinating and looked at the person he was referring to as "baby," the fierceness in his eyes softened, replaced by a tender, affectionate gaze.

He was like a dog with his tail wagging. He would flash a flirtatious smile, a stark contrast to the intensity of the fight.

Han Xin felt a fluttering in his stomach at the thought that he might be this "baby." He immediately dismissed the idea. If he was, why would Xiang Yu reject him? It was highly unlikely.

Xiang Yu had no idea that his embarrassing episode was being watched by his baby. He was busy in a private room at the imperial capital’s most expensive restaurant with the twins.

The ambience was luxurious, with soft lighting and elegant decor that spoke of opulence. Xiang Yu asked them, "What would you like to eat?"

Lian, never one to be reserved, pointed at the floating menu screen. "Master, I want a whole porqon leg."

Mei raised an eyebrow. "Do you even know what that is?"

Lian quickly searched on StarNet and said, "Look, it looks like a pig, so it should be pork, right? Walks like a pig, eats like a pig and talks like a pig then it is a pig."

Mei couldn’t argue with that logic. Xiang Yu turned to Mei. "What about you?"

Mei picked a whole Drakorian duck with a side of crispy tubers. Xiang Yu asked, "Anything else?"

The twins picked the drinks they liked, following Xiang Yu’s advice to not look at the prices and just choose what they wanted. Xiang Yu himself chose the Zylarian Steak served with a side of roasted vegetables. All their meals were upscaled to alpha portions, ensuring they were hearty and satisfying.

While they waited for their food, Xiang Yu browsed StarNet, looking for weapons to buy for Lian and Mei. He found that the most expensive weapons were crafted by Grandmaster Zie and were currently up for auction.

The price tags were hefty, but he didn’t hesitate. He entered the auction and began to browse the auction floor page, his mind focused on finding the best gear.

The twins chatted excitedly about their upcoming training sessions, their voices a comforting background hum. Xiang Yu’s attention was split between their conversation and the auction, his fingers deftly navigating the interface.

Lian’s curiosity got the better of her. "Master, what are you doing?" she asked, peering over Xiang Yu’s shoulder.

Xiang Yu removed the privacy mode on his communicator, revealing the auction screen. "Which ones do you like?" he asked.

Mei and Lian’s eyes lit up as they scanned the options. Mei pointed to a yellow and blue plasma bow that could expand for use with her mech. "I want this one," she said excitedly.

Lian chose an energy sword with twin plasma blades, also expandable for mech use. "And I want this," she declared.

Xiang Yu pre-bid on the items for them. He also selected a plasma whip for himself. Just as he was about to finalize his bid, he noticed a familiar sword on the auction floor.

It was similar to the infamous ’Bloodreaver’, a legendary weapon forged in the heart of a dying star that belonged to the late Imperial Lord. Its blade was a shimmering, ethereal blue that could cut through the toughest armours and shields.

The original had been crafted by Grandmaster Zie’s late master and was irreplaceable. The one on the auction floor was a commemorative piece made by Grandmaster Zie himself. Xiang Yu knew the real Bloodreaver was in the imperial palace. He decided to pre-bid on the commemorative piece, planning to swap it with the real one and gift it to Han Xin.

As the official bidding began, the waiter brought their drinks. Xiang Yu took a sip of his wine, his eyes glued to the screen as he bid like a madman. Noble families from across the galaxy were vying for these masterpieces, but Xiang Yu outbid them all by margins that seemed ridiculous.

Despite their efforts, he emerged as the king of the auction. Somewhere in the imperial palace, a spoiled rich kid was likely throwing a tantrum because of him.

By the time their food was served, Xiang Yu had already input the delivery addresses. The weapons would arrive by the time they got home. "It’s done," he said, smiling at the twins. "You should get them by the time you get home."

Lian hugged Xiang Yu tightly. "Master is the best," she exclaimed.

Mei squeezed in on the hug. "Thank you, Master," she added, her voice filled with gratitude.

Meanwhile, Han Zhan and Little Bai, who were watching the live feed, widened their eyes in surprise. Han Xin, on the other hand, furrowed his brows, deep in thought.
