The Divine Emperor had been trying various ways to lift Xiang Yu’s spirits, knowing that his happiness was directly correlated to the success of retrieving his son’s soul fragments.

Xiang Yu’s eyes lit up with a glimmer of hope. "Lian and Mei?" he guessed.

The Divine Emperor nodded. "I found them." In this world, Lian and Mei were the two alpha daughters of the Wu family. The Wu family was a formidable family with a lineage of marshals and generals. They were loyal to the former Imperial Lord, Imperial Lord Han. When he died, they should have supported the new Imperial Lord to solidify his power.

But the patriarch of the Wu family announced his retirement as the Marshal of the Republic for health reasons. This was a direct slap in the face to Imperial Lord Xiang. Since his daughter was an omega with no interest in military affairs, there was no contender for the position of marshal from his family.

Actually, there were two possible contenders and that was Wu Lian and Wu Mei, Marshal Wu’s alpha granddaughters. The Marshal even had the guts to embarrass him in front of all the nobles. The Imperial Lord asked his son to get along with the twin girls from the Wu family, but Wu Lian and Wu Mei were infamous brats who didn’t respect Xiang Yu at all. Xiang Yu was so excited to see the twins that he asked the Divine Emperor, "When can I go and see them?" He had been so low spirited lately and he just wanted to see them.

The Divine Emperor smiled. "No need to go to them. They will definately come to you." Seeing that Xiang Yu was back to being spirited he breathed a sigh of relief. He might have not brought Xiang Yu to this world in particular but he had a feeling that selection wasn’t as random as before. He had a feeling that someone had a hand in it and if it wasn’t him then who else could it be. Who else had the power to mess with his worlds.

A few hours later, chaos erupted in the imperial palace. A sleek hover car drove into the palace grounds and stopped right in front of the crown prince’s palace. The insignia of the Wu family on the door of the hover car was unmistakable. The staff in the prince’s mansion knew how important these guests were, even without an appointment, and they respectfully bowed as the car doors opened.

Two tall and stunningly beautiful young women stepped out. One had a high ponytail, and the other sported two pigtails, both exuding regal authority and an imposing demeanour. The steward of the castle looked at the towering alphas nervously and said, "Good afternoon, young miss-es." He hesitated to call them young misses when they exuded such imposing auras, no less formidable than their grandfather’s.

The one with the high ponytail, Mei, smiled, seeming the friendlier of the two. "Hello, we are here to see Mas— oh, sorry, I meant His Highness. May you please inform him of our arrival?"

Xiang Yu had already been informed. The steward had been so excited that he couldn’t help but send someone over to inform Xiang Yu as soon as the security at the imperial gates notified him of their visit. "Right this way, ladies. His Highness will be with you short—"

His words died down when he saw Lian start running into the palace, shouting, "Last one there is a loser!"

Mei looked at Lian’s disappearing back, smiling apologetically before her smile fell, and she also ran after Lian, yelling, "You little sneak!"

The steward and the staff were left speechless. Lian laughed like a villain as she ran, not even knowing where she was going but not stopping. Mei caught up and tackled Lian mercilessly. Lian flew into the wall, leaving a dent. Mei laughed, "Loser."

Lian smiled slyly, wiping the blood from the corner of her lips from biting her lip, and got up like nothing had happened before running after Mei. They had discovered that they were alphas and in the past few days they had found out how iron-strong they were.

This tackle was nothing compared to the beatings they gave each other in the training room, all in the name of training. They fought so hard that one dislocated a jaw and the other broke two limbs. When Grandfather Wu found out, he was in shock and banned them from leaving the mansion as punishment. After they left the healing capsules, they snuck out of the mansion to find Xiang Yu. Only the heavens knew how angry Grandpa Wu would be when he found out.

Mei ran around a corner and saw a staff member walking down the passageway with a tray. She stopped to ask, "Pardon me, but where might I find His Highness?"

The staff member, shaken to see her in the palace, pointed a trembling finger to the door at the end of the passageway. Just then, Lian swept Mei’s leg, and she fell to the ground with a thud. Lian laughed as she ran, "Who is the loser now?"

Mei gritted her teeth as she got up and ran after her. Just as Lian touched the doorknob, she was dragged back and tossed a few feet to the ground. Mei tried to open the door with a victorious smile on her face, but she was tackled, and the two of them fell to the ground, tussling.

"Eww, you licked my hand! You are so disgusting," Mei exclaimed.

Lian grinned. "That was nothing. Here, smell this." Mei’s eyes widened as her head almost touched Lian’s armpits. Mei fought hard, and the situation was reversed.

Suddenly, the door opened, and when the two saw a figure standing by the door looking at them, they both yelled, "Master!" Their eyes lit up.

The steward and the servants who had caught up were shocked to see the two young women hug Xiang Yu while wailing and complaining like children.
