Chapter 283: Jealous of a body pillow
Han Xin was startled when he heard that Peng Xiu had a body pillow of him in her room. The idea struck him as strange and uncomfortable. Xiang Yu, standing beside him, found the situation amusing. A grin spread across his face, and he couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Apparently, she slept with it every single night," Xiang Yu said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "And it smelled like fish and sweat. I wonder what she did to it."
Han Xin’s mouth fell open in disbelief. "Eww no, that is gross," he finally managed to respond, his face twisting in disgust.
Xiang Yu stifled a laugh, clearly enjoying Han Xin’s reaction. As he walked away, he added, "I don’t blame her. Look at you! I would probably have one in my bed. In fact, I should go get one custom made right now."
Han Xin froze in place, confusion washing over him. Why would Xiang Yu want a body pillow when he already had the real deal in front of him? He could more things than a freaking lifeless pillow would do. Before he could voice his thoughts, Old Song’s voice cut through the air.
"Is she dead?" Old Song asked, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene.
Xiang Yu reached into his holster and pulled out a gun, placing it on Old Song’s table with a clatter. Old Song frowned. "What is this for? You know I don’t like guns."
Xiang Yu shrugged casually. "Just in case. You will have to put a hole in her head to make sure she is really dead."
Old Song sighed, taking the gun with a reluctant hand. "You are too much work. How I ended up with a son like you is mind boggling."
Xiang Yu chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well, it came with the territory. You fell in love with the wrong one."
Old Song’s eyes widened in alarm as he turned to Han Xin, suspicion flickering in his gaze. It was as if he was accusing Han Xin of snitching about his relationship with Xiang Yu’s late father, Xiang Shu.
Han Xin was quick to defend himself. "I really didn’t tell him!"
Xiang Yu smirked, leaning back slightly. "He didn’t, but his face says everything. He can’t even lie to me, even if he wanted to."
Old Song waved them away, clearly exasperated. "Go, go! You are disturbing this old man."
Xiang Yu patted Old Song’s shoulder, a playful grin on his face. "See you tomorrow. Don’t be late otherwise those two will throw a fit."
"I won’t. Now go bother somebody else," Old Song replied, his tone gruff but affectionate.
Outside, Han Xin turned to say goodbye to Old Song, only to be met with a stern expression. "You can’t even lie, tsk tsk. He is going to eat you up," Old Song remarked, shaking his head.
Han Xin sighed. Old Song’s words weren’t his biggest concern right now. The biggest issue was that someone wanted a body pillow of him. That was unacceptable. He caught up with Xiang Yu and hugged him from behind. "Why do you need a body pillow when you have the real deal here?" he asked, a hint of jealousy creeping into his tone.
Xiang Yu chuckled, finding it amusing that Han Xin was still fixated on the joke he made earlier. "It’s for when you go on business trips. I will cuddle it to sleep and won’t feel lonely."
Han Xin wasn’t having it. "I am much better to cuddle than a body pillow. Plus, you will go with me wherever I go," he insisted, his voice firm as he leaned in and kissed Xiang Yu’s cheek.
Xiang Yu decided not to tease him any further. "Okay, fine. I won’t get a body pillow of you. Happy?"
Han Xin nodded, his head bobbing like a chicken pecking at rice. "Let’s go! I will buy you some ice cream."
With that, Han Xin grabbed Xiang Yu’s hand, pulling him along as they stepped out of the isolated building and entered the car. Looking at how they were smiling happily one wouldn’t think that these where the same people who had just tortured Peng Xiu to death.

The seaside villa, usually silent, buzzed with life. Bright lights spilt from the open windows, casting a warm glow on the patio. Music floated through the air, mingling with the sounds of cheerful chatter and laughter. The atmosphere was lively, a stark contrast to the usual calm.
The air was thick with mouthwatering aromas that beckoned to everyone nearby. The scent of marinated meats sizzling over hot coals filled their senses. Smoky char from the grill intertwined with the rich, sweet fragrance of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and star anise. There was also a hint of spice from chilli peppers and the enticing sweetness of honey glaze caramelizing on the surface of the meat.
The chef worked diligently, the meat crackling on the grill, punctuated by the occasional hiss of oil hitting the flames. The rhythmic clattering of chopsticks echoed in the background, blending with the cheerful chatter and bursts of laughter that erupted from the gathering.
At one corner of the patio, Lian and Mei were stuffing their faces, their eyes sparkling with delight. Nearby, Butler Qing and Old Song were deeply engrossed in a card game. The intensity was palpable, each move a calculated risk, their competitive spirits igniting a fierce battle. The bodyguards hovered nearby, taking turns to grab a bite to eat. They took turns leaving their posts to get some food.
By the pool, Han Xin and Han Zhan sat together, drinks in hand. The stars twinkled in the dark sky painting a beautiful image. Han Zhan took a sip of his cocktail, his brow furrowing in curiosity. "What did you do with him?" he asked, his tone casual. He was asking him about his uncle.
Han Xin took a slow sip of his beer, a smirk playing on his lips. "He will never be able to get out of bed again. I made sure of it."
Han Zhan’s face went dazed, processing the words. "Is he in pain?"
Han Xin’s expression hardened. "He is. Yu Yu broke every bone in his limbs. Each time he recovers, they will be broken again. He will feel that pain over and over."
A sense of satisfaction washed over Han Zhan. He knew that revenge wouldn’t bring his parents back, but it gave him a sense of relief, a fleeting comfort in the midst of his grief.
Silence settled between them for a moment, each lost in their thoughts. Then Han Zhan broke the quiet. "Where is Xiang Yu?"
"Oh, he went upstairs," Han Xin replied, glancing toward the villa. "He said he had to get something."
