Chapter 253: Handing over Xiang Yu
Agent Lu stood at the edge of the docks, his eyes fixed on Peng Xiu. The night was thick, obscuring her features, but the soft light from the nearby lampposts cast a gentle glow on her side profile. She was stunning, her alluring eyes catching the light and making his heart flutter.
"By the way, did you know that Han Xin is fuckin gay?" Agent Lu’s voice broke the silence, his tone casual yet probing.
Peng Xiu’s fist clenched within her sleeve, a glint of anger flashing in her eyes. "What do you... what do you mean?" she stammered, struggling to mask her fury. She had no idea how Agent Lu had discovered Han Xin’s involvement with Xiang Yu.
Agent Lu chuckled, a gloating sound that grated on her nerves. "You didn’t know? Haha, let me tell you, we arrested Xiang Yu earlier. He came down to the bureau personally with his lawyer to save his boyfriend."
Peng Xiu’s eye twitched at the revelation. Han Xin had basically come out publicly with Xiang Yu. She had thought it was a fleeting affair, something that would eventually fade. But now, he had gone out of his way to get Xiang Yu out of jail. It was like a dagger to her heart, each word twisting deeper into her soul. Her unrequited love, the man she had silently adored for years, was now openly flaunting someone else to the world. The revelation was a cruel twist of fate, mocking her silent devotion.
Her rage seethed like a devil, a dark force that threatened to consume her. She clenched her fists, nails digging into her palms as she struggled to suppress the storm within. Her demon blood, which had been suppressed in this world, surged like a raging river of lava, threatening to break free from its confines. The wooden planks beneath her feet creaked under the weight of her turmoil. She could feel the heat of her anger radiating off her skin, a palpable force that seemed to warp the very air around her. Peng Xiu’s breath came in ragged gasps as she fought to regain control.
Agent Lu, oblivious to the danger, kept talking. "He is a damn gay. If the chief had known that beforehand, he should have sent Shen Shen instead. He looks like he can take it, right? You should have seen how he held Xiang Yu’s hand. It was like he was announcing it to the whole world. Like, hell, why not keep it to yourself... keep it in—"
Peng Xiu’s patience snapped. The air around her seemed to crackle with energy as she took a step forward, her eyes blazing with a fury that could no longer be contained.
Agent Lu’s words were abruptly cut off when he saw Peng Xiu holding a gun with a silencer, pointing it directly at him. His eyes widened in surprise, but he had no time to react. The silenced shot rang out, and he fell backwards into the water with a splash.
Peng Xiu walked to the edge of the pier, her pace calm and collected as if she hadn’t just shot someone. She pulled the trigger five more times at the water, ensuring that Agent Lu wouldn’t resurface. She stood there until the water returned to a soft ripple. Satisfied, she sneered and walked away.
What Peng Xiu didn’t know was that someone was watching her and recording everything. Xiang Yu had asked Old Song to have someone follow Peng Xiu, especially after the stunt she pulled this afternoon. Xiang Yu wanted to know her every move. He wanted to know what she ate, who she spoke to and who she met up with. If she so much as sneezed, Xiang Yu wanted to know about it. So far, she hadn’t done much, and they thought they wouldn’t get anything useful. But who would have thought they would witness this juicy scene?
One of the men called Old Song and said, "She shot someone and they fell into the water."
Old Song replied on the phone, "Save the person first, and I will let Xiang Yu know."
"Okay," the man said. When they were sure Peng Xiu was gone, they opened the car door and ran towards the dock.

Han Jin sat at the head of the long, polished table in the country club’s private room, his expression a mask of controlled fury. The room was filled with the seven heads of the clans in the triads, each one representing a powerful faction. The Die clan had called this urgent meeting to express their grievances.
The atmosphere was tense as the Die clan leader stood to speak. "We have just discovered that the man named Xiang Yu was the one who attacked us at the docks and killed our men," he began, his voice trembling with barely suppressed rage. "Yes, we broke the rules by trafficking people, which is against the code... but the punishment should have been delivered by the dragon head, not by an individual acting on his own volition."
Murmurs of agreement rippled through the room. Han Jin’s eyes narrowed as he listened. The Die clan leader continued, "Not only that but when we sought justice, we tried to kidnap Xiang Yu’s twins to force him to surrender himself. Xiang Yu managed to thwart our plans, and we suffered another loss. He couldn’t have done that alone."
The room fell silent as the representative held up an envelope. "And now, we have no idea where Die Banhan is. We received these pictures of him, battered and bruised. This is unacceptable."
Han Jin’s fury simmered beneath his calm exterior. He had always known Xiang Yu was a loose cannon, but he had hoped to control him out of respect for his late father. That sentiment was now gone. He should have been ruthless from the very beginning and should have rid himself of Xiang Yu before things escalated to this point.
He stood, his presence commanding the attention of everyone in the room. "Xiang Yu has acted on his own, and for that, he will face the consequences. Whatever little sentiment I had for his late father is gone. I will hand him over and let you do as you please with him."
