Chapter 250: Under attack!

Xiang Yu blinked, his mind still hazy from the intense kiss. He ran his tongue over his swollen lips, tasting the lingering flavour of Han Xin. His body ached for more, but the interruption had broken the spell.

Han Xin lowered the window, his expression now a mix of frustration and annoyance. Ran Lan’s face appeared, his eyes wide with an apology. "Master Han, I am so sorry to disturb you, but it’s Han Zhan. He said something urgent has come up."

Han Xin’s jaw clenched, and he took a moment to compose himself. He cleared his throat, his hand smoothing down his dishevelled hair. "I will take the call," he said, his voice steady despite the obvious.

Xiang Yu, still dazed, reached up to fix his own hair, which had fallen messily across his forehead during the heated exchange. He couldn’t help but glance at Han Xin’s crotch, the evidence of his desire straining against the fabric.

Han Xin took the phone from Ran Lan and cleared his throat. "What’s wrong?" His expression immediately changed hearing Han Zhan’s panicked voice through the phone, "Ah-Xin, we are under attack. We are driving on the highway. We, shit, we had just picked up the twins from school and fell under heavy fire. We need some fuckin backup."

Han Zhan had always travelled with a convoy, two cars in front and two behind, ensuring maximum security when picking up the twins. This afternoon was no different. The roar of the engine echoed through the bulletproof car as Han Zhan navigated the winding road with precision. Lian and Mei sat in the back excited about going to the amusement park. Little Bai, in the passenger seat, chatted casually about the rides they were going to try.

The two security SUVs flanked them, one in front and one behind, a fortress on wheels. The other two cars were filled with bodyguards, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of trouble.

They had only been driving for ten minutes when four black SUVs appeared out of nowhere, flanking their motorcade. Before they could react, gunfire erupted, the rain of bullets pinging off the armoured glass. Han Zhan’s heart raced as he barked, "Get down!" His voice was a command that brooked no argument. Lian and Mei ducked, clutching each other, while Little Bai lowered his head, his eyes scanning the chaos outside.

Han Zhan grabbed his phone, his fingers trembling as he dialled Han Xin. The line clicked, and Ran Lan’s calm voice answered. Han Zhan demanded to speak to Han Xin and when his cousin’s voice came through the phone he told him what was going on. After a while he thrust the phone at Little Bai. "Send Han Xin our location," he ordered.

Little Bai nodded, his head still low, and took the phone. His fingers flew over the screen, sending their coordinates. Behind them, one of their security cars rammed an attacking SUV, forcing it off the guard rail. The explosion lit up the afternoon sky, a fiery testament to their desperate struggle. The convoy sped down the almost empty road, the tyres screeching against the asphalt.

Han Zhan’s eyes flicked to the rearview mirror. One of their security cars had been driven off the road, crashing into a tree. The car in front was under attack, two enemy SUVs ramming it from both sides. The security team fought back fiercely, sacrificing themselves to take out the attackers. But one enemy car remained, now rear-ending Han Zhan’s vehicle with relentless force.

A notification came from the phone, and Little Bai opened the message with trembling hands. When the car was bumped from behind, the phone almost slipped out of his grasp. Little Bai held the phone firmly and said, "He said we should go to this address."

Han Zhan nodded, his mind racing. "Put it on the GPS," he said. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel, his eyes darting between the road and the rearview mirror. Little Bai, his hands trembling, quickly inputted the address. The GPS voice calmly instructed, "Take the next exit."

Han Zhan gritted his teeth and swerved off the highway, the tyres screeching in protest. The enemy car followed closely, its halo lights glaring like the eyes of a predator. The chase continued a deadly dance on the deserted roads. Suddenly, several other cars emerged from nowhere, joining the pursuit. Gunfire erupted, bullets pinging off the bulletproof SUV but failing to penetrate.

"Get the briefcase underneath my seat and get me a gun," Han Zhan ordered. Lian and Mei, seated in the back, exchanged a quick glance before reaching under the seat. Mei’s voice was tense. "Uncle, we found it, but it’s locked."

"Three, five, seven, one," Han Zhan replied without hesitation. Lian punched in the numbers, and with a soft click, the briefcase unlocked. Inside, a small arsenal gleamed under the dim light. Mei handed a gun to Han Zhan, who then instructed, "Give one to Little Bai."

Little Bai shook his head frantically. "No, brother, I don’t know how to use it."

"Point and shoot. Now take it," Han Zhan commanded. Reluctantly, Little Bai took the gun from Mei, his hands shaking.

Just then, a bullet struck the back wheel, causing the SUV to lurch. Lian and Mei grabbed daggers from the briefcase, their eyes gleaming with fierce determination. Despite the flat tyre, Han Zhan kept driving, his focus unwavering.

The GPS announced, "You have reached your destination on the left." Han Zhan took a sharp left, the SUV skidding into an abandoned factory area. The pursuing cars followed, surrounding them. Gunfire erupted once more, a cacophony of violence.

Han Zhan got out of the car and exchange fire with their pursers. Little Bai climbed into the back seat, shielding Lian and Mei. "Don’t don’t be sca-scared, brother is here," he stammered and Lian and Mei looked at each other. Who was scared exactly? Them or Little Bai?

Little Bai’s hands trembled as he held the gun, sweat beading on his forehead. Han Zhan’s ammunition soon ran out, and he raised his hands in a feigned surrender. The enemy men rushed forward, but Han Zhan sprang into action, his fists and feet a blur of motion. Despite being outnumbered, his fighting prowess was unmatched.

The leader of the attackers, a man with a long scar on his face named Die Banhan, watched with a scowl. "How troublesome," he muttered. He gestured for his men to open the car door. One of them did, and a shot rang out. Little Bai had pulled the trigger, but the bullet went wide. The man grabbed Little Bai by the hair and dragged him out of the car before forcing him to kneel with a gun to his temple.
