Chapter 133: ’Should I say yes?’

He was curious to know what made him so excited that night that he pulled Han Xin closer and kissed him like a hungry beast. ’Should I say yes?Won’t that old man kill me,’ he thought. Thinking he could just blame Han Xin later he called out to the Divine Emperor to check if he was there, but there was no answer. It seemed the old man had done his disappearing act again.

Just when Han Xin thought he had been rejected a single word escaped her lips almost soundlessly, "Okay." He felt elation surge through him akin to sunlight breaking through storm clouds. If he had a tail, it would be wagging wildly behind him right now.

He nervously reached out his fingers brushing against her neck. His touch was so soft it sent shivers down Xiang Yu’s spine. His thumb grazed her smooth skin like silk under his fingertips, igniting sparks between them that felt almost electric. Xiang Yu was just as nervous as him, but he hid it well. In fact, he was regretting it. He could almost hear that old man calling him fox demon but he didn’t back down.

With intense desire burning in his eyes, Han Xin leaned closer his warm breath brushing against Xiang Yu’s skin. He gently pressed their foreheads together and inhaled deeply, her scent mingled with woodsmoke and wildflowers wafting around the cave.

Xiang Yu’s breath quickened as he felt his touch, a mixture of excitement and nervousness coursing through his veins. Their eyes locked, and in that moment, all their unspoken desires were laid bare.

With deliberate slowness, Han Xin tilted his head ever so slightly and captured her lips with his own. Their mouths met in a fiery kiss, a clash of passion that ignited a flame deep within him. Her lips, which were soft from the thin layer of grease from the meat they had eaten, responded eagerly to his demanding mouth.

Their tongues danced in a sensual rhythm, entwining and exploring, tasting each other’s hunger. The kiss was fierce and urgent, filled with pent-up longing. Han Xin withdrew slightly catching his breath before moving closer and kissing her again.

This time, Xiang Yu’s pupils shone slightly, and he felt an intense Qi flooding into his empty dantian. He felt the familiar Qi circulate in his body, making him feel so powerful that he wanted more. He had no memory of the night they kissed, but his body instantly recognised that intoxicating feeling, and he eagerly pressed against the man’s body.

Han Xin’s heart raced further when she returned his kiss fervently. Desire flared within him. It was as though something buried deep inside of him had broken out of its confines and burst forth, making him lose control of himself.

Xiang Yu had no idea that he was adding fuel to the fire. All he cared about was getting as much of that sweet taste as he could. His hand found its way to the back of Han Xin’s neck and pulled him closer until every inch separating them vanished completely. He pressed against him making sure not to hurt his arm.

As their lips smacked together, creating a symphony of wet, sensual sounds, Xiang Yu’s hands found their way into Han Xin’s hair, tangling in the soft strands. Han Xin groaned into Xiang Yu’s mouth, the sound vibrating through his body, sending shivers down his spine.

Han Xin held her waist, his fingers curling slightly as he felt dizzy, like his soul was getting sucked out. His hands roamed over her back, caressing and moulding her curves, as if memorizing her shape.

When he felt Han Xin’s hardness straining against him through their clothes his eyes widened. Was it that size, or was he hallucinating? Soon he lost himself in the moment, the sensation sending a jolt of pleasure through him, making him groan.

That sweet cry drove Han Xin insane. Caught in the moment he lifted her slightly, and in a swift motion, he laid her down on the soft ground, his body hovering over hers. Her eyes sparkled with desire as she gazed up at him, her fingers dancing across his skin, trying to pull him down and kiss his lips.

Han Xin’s lips trailed kisses down her neck, sucking gently on the sensitive skin, causing Xiang Yu to arch his back and let out a soft moan.

An intense pain suddenly shot through Han Xin’s arm and he groaned in pain. That sound brought Xiang Yu back to his senses, and he pressed his hand against Han Xin’s chest, urging him to get up. Han Xin got up with a grimace on his face. He had been so swept away by the kiss that he had forgotten about the broken bone still healing under his skin.

"Are you okay?" Xiang Yu asked softly, concern threading through his voice like a gentle caress.

Han Xin blinked rapidly, caught between embarrassment and desire. His arousal was still throbbing under his clothes, and he sat awkwardly, hoping she wouldn’t notice or at least not mention it. "I am okay," he said too quickly, his words tumbling out in a rush.

"Does it still hurt?" he pressed gently, his gaze searching his for honesty.

Han Xin shook his head as he wrapped his good hand around her waist. The warmth radiating from him sent shivers down Xiang Yu’s spine. It felt right yet forbidden all at once. "No," he murmured softly but with an intensity that made Xiang Yu’s breath catch in his throat. "But I am sorry... I went too far." It was just meant to be a kiss but once he started, he couldn’t stop. It was like his brain shut down and all he could think about was making her his completely.

Xiang Yu bit her lower lip and diverted his gaze to the flames dancing before them, a mesmerizing display that mirrored the turmoil inside his heart. "No need to apologise," he said at last, glancing back up at him. "I liked it."

A charged silence enveloped them as they locked eyes. Han Xin wanted to ask her if they were together now but he didn’t want to push it. He leaned closer until the tip of his nose brushed lightly against her ear. The feather-light touch ignited a fire beneath Xiang Yu’s skin. He could feel every heartbeat thrumming in his chest.

"Do you want to hold me to sleep? I would hold you but my arm." Han Xin said his voice low and inviting. Xiang Yu cleared his throat and agreed the thrill sending ripples through his heart. He had already cracked the pot, so why not smash it?

They nestled together in the cave, Han Xin fitting perfectly into Xiang Yu’s embrace as if they were always meant to be this way. Han Xin became the little spoon his body wrapped around her arm. Han Xin was glad she agreed to sleep this way; otherwise, the still throbbing monster in his clothes would scare her, and she would reconsider being with him.

Soon, Han Xin’s breathing softened, and he fell asleep, but Xiang Yu, who had spent an entire afternoon sleeping, stayed awake a little longer. When he noticed that Han Xin was sleeping, he propped his body up and stared at his serene face illuminated by the flickering flames with a ting of possessiveness in his eyes that he didn’t even notice.
