After their encounter at Beijing University, Lu Yao and Yao Meishu never saw Gu Yansi again, nor did they manage to find him.

Yao Meishu nodded quietly. She bit her lips as tears welled up in her eyes. She felt deeply distraught and wanted to cry.

Lu Yao gently rubbed Yao Meishu’s head and remained quiet, unsure of what to say.

"Old Lu, do you know that man from the other day? The one who mistook me for my sister."

Yao Meishu asked softly as she bit her lip. She had thought about it for a long time and was somewhat reluctant to ask Lu Yao.

"Hmm? What about him?"

Lu Yao raised his gaze to look at Yao Meishu. He was puzzled and did not understand what Yao Meishu meant.

To him, Lu Mohai was just a passerby, someone who knew Yao Meishu’s sister. Lu Yao didn’t have any special feelings towards him.

Lu Yao did not have any extra emotions towards Lu Mohai, nor did he take him seriously.

"I just want to know more about my sister. She lived in Kyoto, we hardly ever saw each other throughout the year. She was reclusive and seldom spoke. When we met, she hardly ever talked about herself. Now, I want to learn more about her past.

He seems to know a lot about my sister and appears to care about her. I want to know who he is and talk to him about my sister."

Yao Meishu spoke quietly, and somewhat embarrassingly.

She felt somewhat off asking Lu Yao, but she didn’t want to find that strange man all by herself. She thought it would be difficult for her to find him and having Lu Yao’s help might speed things up. They might even find him soon.

"Your sister has been dead for many years."

Lu Yao spoke gently, a hint of displeasure in his expression.

If Yao Meishu and Ruan Qingyang had been very close, then she would have been very kind towards Ruan Qingyang’s daughter Lu Qingyi, and she wouldn’t have left Qingyi to be raised by his mother.

Before, Lu Yao never had any issues with Yao Meishu, but now he seemed to have a different view of her.

"If you were really close to your sister, you would have personally raised Lu Qingyi."
