Universe Infinite Canteen -
Chapter 779 - 779 Where is the Pacific Ocean?
Sir M shifted his plump rear incessantly on the filthy seat of the smuggling ship, eyeing the peeled-off armrest and the cheap sponge beneath it, his brows furrowed into the shape of a river.
He had almost forgotten how long it had been since he last traveled on Gonggong Transportation.
As the top-tier tycoon of The Grand Alliance and the most prominent political sponsor, he owned forty-six Plane Spaceships, each more luxurious than the last.
Unfortunately, none of those Plane Spaceships, whether new or old models, had the route map for the restricted area.
Left with no choice, Sir M ultimately had to settle for a Fairy Dragon smuggling ship, squeezed in with a group of dubious individuals.
To make himself more comfortable, he went ahead and bought five connected tickets. Two seats were for himself, another two for his luggage, and the last one for his bodyguard, Ahao.
The total cost came to 1.69 million Star Currency, a trivial expense in Sir M's eyes.
Nonetheless, to the other passengers, he became the odd one out—their glances darted between him and his luggage throughout the journey, which greatly irked him.
Under normal circumstances, he would have already sent his bodyguard to deal with them, but he had only Ahao with him.
Though Ahao was strong, he was just one person. If he made a move, there would be no one to protect Sir M.
Thus, Sir M could only grudgingly endure the insolent stares, planning to teach these bumpkins a lesson once he reached Earth and reunited with Motti and the others.
But speaking of Motti, the thought of him reignited anger in Sir M. He had poured significant funds to help the old fraud secure the Councilman position—yet this was how he repaid him.
With the apocalypse looming, Motti fled with his wife and children, completely ignoring his sponsor and leaving without even a notice.
Sir M only learned about Javier Cruz's crushing defeat and the impending annihilation of the entire Multiverse at the hands of Skulder from other beneficiaries.
Alarmed, he scrambled to pack and prepare for escape while dispatching a negotiation team to reach out to Skulder, attempting to discuss terms for defection.
As for himself, he headed to Earth, intending to confront Motti and hold him accountable.
After a tedious day-and-a-half flight, the smuggling ship finally reached its destination, landing in the Amazon rainforest.
Sir M stepped off the ship eagerly, breathing in the humid air that greeted him, his mood lifting ever so slightly.
Then, he shifted his gaze to the Lin Chi perched atop the treetops and the Black Caiman crawling on the ground before him.
"Which of you is in charge here? I want to see Motti!"
"What's your relation to him?" Lin Chi's voice resonated within Sir M's mind.
"I'm his boss and creditor," Sir M replied. "We have some accounts to settle."
The Black Caiman responded, "Then I fear you won't be getting those accounts settled."
"Drop the nonsense you use to scare common taxpayers," Sir M scoffed, unfazed. "Do you even know who I am? Your boss greets me with utmost respect."
"We're from the Earth Autonomy Management Committee, not The Grand Alliance…" Lin Chi replied.
"I don't care where you're from. Just tell me where that old bastard Motti is right now."
"He's on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean," the Black Caiman said after exchanging a glance with Lin Chi.
"Now that's more like it. Why couldn't you have said so earlier instead of spouting bureaucratic jargon?" Sir M scoffed. "Where's the Pacific Ocean? Take me there now."
"That place is quite far from here, and we also need to take care of the other passengers first."
Sir M immediately became annoyed upon hearing this. "Why bother with those people? They're insignificant. Just let them fend for themselves. As long as I'm well taken care of, your superiors will reward you."
"It's not just about their safety," Lin Chi said, exasperated. "It's also about ensuring they don't harm the native inhabitants of this planet."
"That's even stranger. They're not even citizens of The Grand Alliance. Why care if they live or die?" Sir M said, utterly baffled.
Lin Chi and the Black Caiman didn't know how to respond.
Fortunately, another voice broke in, "Excuse me, sir. You're looking to go to the Pacific Ocean? I can offer transportation."
The speaker was a cute, black-haired girl wearing a JK uniform. Her legs were bare and gleamed smooth and pale.
Sir M had 247 wives but didn't bring any along on this escape, deeming them too noisy. Now, seeing the adorable girl, he couldn't help but feel a surge of interest and was about to agree.
However, Ahao interjected with a timely warning. "Boss, be careful. It could be a trap."
Sir M, unconcerned, replied, "We've come to Earth covertly. No one knows my identity. Besides, I understand Motti—that guy wouldn't have the guts to pull anything on me."
After some thought, Ahao still found the girl's sudden appearance suspicious. But as Sir M pointed out, their identities and itinerary were absolutely confidential—no third party knew.
The girl likely was just looking to do business.
"Our seaplane is parked by the river over there. But before boarding, you'll need to pay—10,000 Star Currency per person, plus a surcharge of 20,000 for your apparently overweight luggage."
Ahao couldn't help but exclaim, "That's daylight robbery! Transporting people within the same planet shouldn't cost 40,000!"
The girl nodded unapologetically. "We're the only ones running this kind of service in the rainforest."
Her blatant profiteering left Ahao speechless.
Sir M waved dismissively. "Whatever. 40,000 it is. As long as I can meet Motti today."
"Rest assured, I guarantee you'll see him soon," the girl answered cryptically.
Ahao felt her words carried an intriguing undertone.
Still, having been by Sir M's side for years, he knew once Sir M made up his mind, no one else's words would sway him. So, Ahao could only stay close to Sir M and vigilantly watch the girl's every move.
The three quickly reached the riverbank and indeed spotted a seaplane.
Ahao relaxed slightly. All along, Sir M's hands had wandered to the girl's backside, but she offered no resistance.
This apparent acceptance of additional "services" put Sir M in an excellent mood, suddenly feeling the 40,000 Star Currency was well spent. Once they boarded the plane, Sir M grew even bolder, eliciting squeals from the girl.
Ahao, meanwhile, meticulously inspected the cabin and the pilot up front, finding nothing overtly suspicious for now.
Was he overthinking it?
Ahao remained on high alert, though this was an entirely unfamiliar planet, brimming with unseen dangers.
The plane took off smoothly under the pilot's control, ascending gracefully. However, barely ten minutes into the flight, the aircraft began shaking violently.
