Chapter 67: Ch.67 Stella’s Ascension

What is the Ascension rank?

Some consider it the transcendence of mortality and reaching the realm of the immortal, while others see it as the step needed to be taken to achieve the Mortal King rank.

The Ascension rank is when one sees the chains of mortality that bind their being and takes a step toward breaking those chains.

Breaking of these twelve chains is divided into four parts, considered as Ascension(low) to Ascension(top).

The abomination wasn’t smart enough to do so as the tiny sand-sized particles bombarded his body slowly, annihilating it.

All the tentacles it had created were destroyed swiftly as it wailed in pain and backed and stumbled backward, getting out of the range of the particles.

Its body, now covered in black blood and riddled with holes, lay on the ground as it looked at the fallen with pleading eyes.

The fallen ignored it as he touched one of the star-like particles with his hands, even his hands were annihilated, doing the same damage as it did to the abomination.

The fallen watched his now destroyed hands with interest as with another hand he snapped his finger and activated Sin Judge.

His hands healed as if they had never been damaged.

With this now healed hand, he pointed his finger at the ceiling of the underground area as a ball of energy started to condense on his finger.

He fired the energy as it moved straight toward the ceiling, piercing through it, destroying the ground in front of it. The energy ball dug its way out of the cave, reaching the free sky above.

Through the small hole above, the fallen looked at the sky and smiled. In the sky, the sun and the moon had disappeared as night appeared early.

The stars started to circle in the sky, leaving a vacant position in the middle where Stella was going through her Ascension ceremony.

Although such a celestial phenomenon happened, it didn’t attract much attention. The first reason is that the day was almost ending, so most people didn’t notice the arrival of the early night.

The second and most important reason was the fact that the heavens were hiding the phenomenon, so only a strong minority noticed it.

Suddenly, the fallen turned his attention toward the floating cocoon as it started to shine with bright light.

The stars, like dust surrounding it, started to revolve around it even faster as they were slowly gathering toward it.

The coccon’s shape began to change as a white star rose in the sky of this underground kingdom, and all the darkness was dispelled as the abomination of eyes wailed due to the brightness.

Even the fallen covered his eyes as it had started to sting.

The brightness of the star continued to increase as, from within the star, a foot stepped out. Then, with another step, the figure of Stella was clearly visible.

Her cold eyes, which seemed to contain the universe, stared at the fallen as her hair, which had now turned pure silver white, fluttered behind her.

Her wings, now a little detached from her body, gave the feeling of being illusory with feathers made of pure starlight.

Her armor, which had shattered, had now changed now turning into a silver dress only worthy of a queen who rules above all.

Her sword, now black as the night sky, was dotted with stars moving within it. With the newly born silver star acting as a halo behind her, she looked like a divine goddess.
