"Don’t be nervous, I know you are. Today is your day, forget everything that is happening right now between you and Li Lingyun and focus on today, don’t let anything or anyone ruin it."

"You are right brother An. Today is my day. Can you believe it, I am going to be the director of the biggest and largest hotel in Country D." Lin Yan said in excitement as she spoke to Lin An through video call.

"Seeing you this excited makes me very happy as well. Spread your wings Lin Yan, do whatever you want do, go wherever you want to go, I will always be by your side." Lin An said with a rare smile on his face.

"What about Zi Xia? Have you taken care of it?"

"Of course I have. She won’t do anything to harm you."

Lin Yan smiled and said "You really are the best."

"Who is looking after Li Xiao? I asking because I’m offering."

"Very funny. If I give Li Xiao to you without Li Lingyun permission, I won’t be surprised if he sends me a divorce paper. Li Xiao will be staying with our nanny. I have to go now the ceremony will be starting soon, you will be there right?"

Lin Yan nodded and smiled, even though Li Lingyun wasn’t coming, Lin Yan knew she would be fine as long as Lin An comes. As the CEO of the leading game company in country D, Lin An was sent an invitation to the ceremony.

Suddenly she heard a knock on the door, she ended her call with Lin An and told whoever was at the door to come in.

"Mrs Li, it’s almost time."

"I will be right there." Lin Yan said and sighed when the door close. She looked at herself in the mirror once again, her blue dress was practically made with diamonds, it was present from Lin An. She was glad she accepted it, the dress was truly beautiful.

Lin Yan took her phone and check on the message she sent to Li Lingyun, asking him if he was going to come for the event but there was no reply. Infact her chat with Li Lingyun had been full with no reply for the past two weeks. "Isn’t he being too cruel."

Greenville Hotel

Numerous cars were park in front of the hotel, the place was filled with reporters and each big men and women in country D were also present. These figures could not miss the event because it was an opportunity for them to grow their relationship with the Li family. However there are some who only came to see what drama would unfold after the disastrous wedding.

Lin Yan felt nervous being the center of attraction, she really wished Li Lingyun was here with her, deep within her, she was still expecting to see him.

After mingling a little with the guest, it was time for Lin Yan to give her speech.

"Isn’t she pretty? Now I see why Li Lingyun made a baby with her." He Jia said as she watched the news in the TV.

"She is an imposter." Zhou Xi said in anger. All these was hers. She is the real Shen Yi, she should be standing there as the director of Greenville hotel not this imposter.

He Jia looked at friend and sneered "Just say you are jealous. Her gown is practically made of diamond and I’m sure that ninety percent of the women there are also jealous of her."

"I’m not jealous." To be honest, she did not care. She wondered what she was even thinking, it was all because of Mu Chen that she was having crazy thoughts. He has been acting strange recently, almost as if he was avoiding to be seen in public with her, she wondered if it’s truly because of their career or something else.

"I know I’m young and I still have a lot to learn but I assure you that as long as I am the director of Greenville hotel, it will continue to remain as the best hotel in Country D. Thank you for deciding to give me a chance."

Lin Yan smiled when everyone clapped.

The MC held the mic and said "We will be taking few questions from the reporters."

Lin Yan frowned when she heard that. Question? They never told her anything about a question and answer segment. She looked to where Wang Hua was seated and immediately knew that it was her idea. Her gaze moved round the audience and she could neither find Lin An or Li Lingyun.

Were was he? It has already been two hours since the event started.

A lot of reporters raise their hands and a man who about his thirties was picked by the MC.

"Mrs Li, are you really qualified for this position or was it because you are the wife of Li Lingyun?"

"I won’t say I’m fully qualified for this position but I believe I am capable of handling it."Lin Yan replied confidently.

"Then is it true that your real dream was to be an actress but you couldn’t fulfill it because you got pregnant?"

They were obviously attacking her, she was about to reply when she heard a familiar voice saying "How is that question related to the hotel? Then answer me this instead, is it true that you lost your job because you asked the wrong questions at an interview?"

Lin Yan looked at the figure that walked up to stand beside her and was surprised, why was Si Yan defending her? Didn’t he hate her?

"Does anyone have any other questions to ask?" Everyone was silent, no one was ready to crossed Si Yan.

Wang Hua clenched her drink in anger. She did not expect Si Yan to defend Shen Yi. No worries, everything was still going to work according to her plan.

After the event ended, Lin Yan met with Si Yan and thanked him for helping her out with the reporters.

"I didn’t do it for you. I did it because it was the right thing to do so don’t feel on top of the moon." Si Yan said and left.

Lin Yan nodded, all her excitement from earlier this morning were gone. Lin An was not answering her calls and Li Lingyun did not even sent her a text.

Lin Yan came out of her thoughts when she felt the vibration of her phone. She opened it and saw that someone sent her some photos wondering what they were, Lin Yan clicked on the photos and froze, she felt suffocated. Why? Who sent her these?
