Chapter 75: Chapter One Of A New Book (Twins)

Liliana sat on the couch listening to music on her phone when her mother asked "Where is your sister?"

Normally she and her twin sister Amelia are always together, but lately Amelia has being distant and no one could actually blame her, everyone thought, she must still be heartbroken and need some space.

Ever since Amelia boyfriend Damien took over his father’s company a year ago, he has cancelled so many dates with her and this has made her sister to be very distant with everyone.

Liliana sigh as she thought of how long it has been since she had a girl’s night with her sister, she looked at her mother and reply "I don’t know where she is. You know she no longer tells me everything."

Their mother Katherine sighed and said "I know you miss your sister, but give her some time, She needs to understand that Damien is the CEO of a multi-billion company. If she wants to be his wife, then she has to stop sulking and learn to stand beside him instead. And besides let’s be honest with ourselves, if Damien had not worked hard when his father retired then the Walton Corporation wouldn’t be a multi-billion corporation and she should be grateful."

Liliana scoffed and wanted to reply, when she got a text from her own boyfriend. She frowned and ignored the text.

Katherine could see her daughter frown, without asking she knew the reason behind that frown, so she asked "Does he want money again?"

Liliana looked at her mother and put on a defence as she said "You say it as if the only thing he does is asked of money from me."

"No, that’s not what I meant, if the relationship is not working out, you can call it off, after all there are many men out there who will love and cherish you."

Liliana got angry at her mother’s words and said "You should care more about your daughter, rather than interfering in my relationship. William loves me and he cherish me."

Liliana got up from the couch and was about to leave when she stopped and said "And for your information, he didn’t ask for money, he asked me on a date. Just because William isn’t rich like Damien Walton, doesn’t give you the right to look down on him"

"If you were a little bit like your sister when it comes to getting a man then I wouldn’t be so worried about you."

"I do not need your worries, keep them for Amelia" Liliana said and then walked out of the house.

When Liliana walked out of her house, she entered her red spot car and drove out. Her car stopped in a fancy and very beautiful apartment. She knocked on the door and smiled when she saw the beautiful face that welcomed her, she wondered if she was still with him because of how handsome he was but she knew that was not the case, she knew she was with him because she had fallen deeply in love with him.

Liliana looked at her boyfriend and said "I saw your message and I got worried."

William smiled and kissed her on her forehead and then invited her in. After settling down, Liliana asked "What happened?"

William wore a regretful expression on his face as he said "I know I told you I will never gamble again and trust me, I didn’t want to. My friends took me out and we went to this club and I got a little bit drunk and that’s was how I made a bet and lost."

Liliana looked at William in disbelief, anger was brewing inside of her, but she tried her best to control her temper, she looked at William and asked "How much do you owe?"

William scratch the back of his head as he said "$30,000"

Liliana stood up from the couch as she shouted "What? How could you be owing $30,000 and besides even if you owe that much money, you could easily pay it off, after all I gave you $100,000 last week."

William frowned at Liliana words and said "I thought I told you I used that money to treat my sister who was ill. If you are going to rub your money in my face, then I don’t need it."

Liliana sighed and said "That’s not it, I’m sorry. I’m just in a bad mood because I don’t know where Amelia is."

An unexpected emotion flicked in William eyes, but before Liliana could notice, it was gone.

William held Liliana hands and said "She will be alright, after all Amelia is a grown up woman, you shouldn’t worry about her and besides nobody would dare to touch the daughter of the Lennon Family."

The Lennon Family is the 5th most powerful family in Los Angeles. Richard Lennon made his money from scratch and has become who he is today, a billionaire.

The Lennon family supports Amelia relationship with Damien because he is the eldest son of the Walton family. That’s why even if he had been less active in his relationship with Amelia, they will never ask Amelia to break up with him.

But as for her, she couldn’t even count how many times her parents has asked her to break up with William but she had refused.

"Instead of worrying about your sister, how about we discuss what present you want tomorrow" William suggested as he lean in for a kiss.

Liliana smiled as she kissed him back said "You can get me anything, I don’t mind."

Just when she was about to kiss him again, her phone rang and she saw it was an unknown number, she answered the call and heard a male voice saying "Please, are you a relative of Amelia Lennon?"

For some reason, Liliana felt a fear in her heart as she said "Yes, I am her sister. Who is asking?"

"This is the manager of X-club, right now, your sister is really drunk and needs you."

"I will be right there. Please take care of her, till I’m there"

After the call was over, she looked at William and said "I have to go"

"Is Amelia alright?" William asked looking worried but when he realized his actions, he immediately compose himself and said "I will go with you."

Liliana who didn’t notice anything wrong said "There’s no need. I don’t want to trouble you."

"It won’t be a trouble at all, I will drive and you can take care of your sister"

Liliana nodded and agreed for William’s to follow her.

Within few minutes, they were already at the entrance of the club, Liliana immediately got out of the car, she showed her Id card to the bouncer and was allowed to enter.

Without searching far, she saw her sister laughing with the bartender. It was obvious she was drunk, she walked up to them and smiled at the bartender and asked "Were you the one who called me?"

The bartender nodded and strech out his hands for a hand shake as he said "My name is Alex, and wow you two look alike."

Liliana smiled and said"Yes we do. We are identical twins"

The only difference between Liliana and Amelia was that Liliana love her long black hair but Amelia prefer her hair to be short and she also dye her hair making one think she was a blonde.

Liliana thank the bartender and help Amelia to the car. William who was waiting for them opened the back door as soon as he saw them coming.

He entered the driver seat and drove them away from the club, but no one noticed how he used his hands to clench the driver wheels.

Walton Corporation

There was knocked on the president door and a deep voice said "Come in"

Ethan who was the CEO secretary came in and said "Her sister came to pick her up."

Damien, the current CEO of the Walton Corporation looked at his secretary and asked softly "Is she alright?"

Ethan was really confused with his boss actions, sometimes he behaves as if he cares for his fiancee and other times he behaves as if she does not exist. The worst part is when he pays more attention to his fiancee sister instead of his fiancee. He kept his thoughts to himself and said "Apart from being drunk to the point she passed out, she is alright."

Damien nodded his head and said coldly "You may leave."

After the door close, Damien use his hands to massage his head and sigh, he opened his phone gallery and stared deeply at a picture of both him and Liliana. He used his hand to carress her picture and sadness could be seen in his eyes as he whispered "Why did you lose your memory?"
