Chapter 65: Either Working Together Or Lovers

"The baby and the mother are fine."

Li Jun sighed in relief when the doctor said that. He haven’t slept since yesterday due to worry.

Wang Hua held her son and said "I told you she will be fine."

Li Jun looked at the doctor and asked "Can I see her?"

"Yes, you can." The doctor replied.

Li Jun entered the ward and saw Fang Min pale face, he walked closer to her and said "The doctor said both you and the baby are alright."

Fang Min gave a weak smile and said "Our son is a fighter. He is truly a member of the Li family."

Li Jun smiled, he was truly looking forward to his son. He held Fang Min hand and said "I will find out who did this to you and make that person pay."

Fang Min looked at Li Jun and firmly said "It was Shen Yi."

Li Jun frowned "Li Lingyun wife? I know Shen Yi hates us but Li Lingyun wouldn’t allow her to go as far as humiliating the Li family and besides what makes you think it was her?"

"I just know it. Perhaps she is working with Lin Yan’s brother, to destroy us. Don’t you see it? She wants grandpa to leave everything for Li Lingyun, she considers this child as a threat and that is why she did this. To humilate us and to make grandpa believe that Li Lingyun will always be the better one."

"Do you really think it was her?"

"Don’t bother investigating this incident, I’m sure Li Lingyun would have already clean up his wife track but look into Shen Yi and Lin An relationship, I’m sure the both of them are working together to bring you down and because of them I almost lost my child and that is something I will never forgive." Fang Min said with hatred and anger in her eyes.

"I do suspect Lin An but I have never thought about him and Shen Yi working together."

"Have you forgotten what happened at the hotel, don’t you find it strange that she defended a man she knew nothing about. I’m telling you Li Jun something is happening between them, they are either working together or they are lovers."

"I will look into it." Li Jun said.

"Have you heard about the red wedding." He Jia said as she pass a plate of noodles to Zhou Xi.

Zhou Xi looked her manager/friend in confusion and asked "What red wedding?"

"You don’t watch the news do you? You know about the famous Li family right?"

Zhou Xi nodded and said "What happened to them?"

"Remember the time you saw the news about Li Jun wife who was dead, apparently he was getting married again yesterday but guess what?"

Zhou Xi frowned. Li Jun was getting married again? So soon? Didn’t he love Lin Yan so much, so why did he agreed to get married again. It must be because of that witch he calls a mother.

When Zhou Xi did not say anything, He Jia continued "The truth is, before his wife died, Li Jun was having an affair with the woman he was about to get married to and even got her pregnant."

"Li Jun was having an affair?!" Shen Yi exclaimed.

He Jia was surprised by Zhou Xi reaction but continued "Of course he was, I heard that a video of Lin Yan confronting them was played at the wedding."

"But why did you call it a red wedding."

"According to my source, she said when Shen Yi started doing damage control Fang Min snapped at her and started bleeding."

"Shen Yi?"

He Jia nodded "To be honest, I think Shen Yi is one of the most mysterious member of the Li member. Not much is known about her but I heard she got married to Li Lingyun at a very young age because she got pregnant."

Zhou Xi frowned, who is this woman pretending to be her?

"Who would have thought that Li Jun would be a jerk. I guess the only cool member of the Li family is just Li Lingyun." He Jia said with a dreamy look in her eyes but when she saw Zhou Xi looking at her with a frowned she said "I admit he is very cold but let’s be honest, he doesn’t look like someone who would cheat on his wife."

"Did Li Jun looked like someone who would cheat on his wife?" Zhou Xi asked.

He Jia sighed and said "That is true. But even you can’t deny that Li Lingyun is the most handsome of all the Li family, I mean if he wasn’t so cold the day he came here then, i would have definitely ask in to take a picture with me. I mean have you seen him with his daughter? there was a time a camera caught him coaxing his daughter, it was so cute, half the women in the country wished they were the girl’s mother." He Jia came out of her fan girl moment when Zhou Xi slammed the chopsticks on the table and said "I’ve lost my appetite."

Zhou Xi stood up and went to her room, slamming the door.

He Jia wondered what she did or said wrong as she saw Zhou Xi action.

As she entered her room, Zhou Xi sat on the bed as she remembered the time she was still Shen Yi.

To be honest even she was attracted to Li Lingyun when she first met him and even when she got married to him, she thought their relationship would work out until that day happened.

She got pregnant when she was nineteen and gave birth when she was twenty. Ever since she was little her dream was to become an actress but Li Xiao took away that dream from her without even knowing, at first she thought after giving birth, she would be able to pursue her career but that dream died when that old man gave her an ultimatum, it was either she forgot about her career or her family company was going to crumble.

And as if that was not enough she witnessed as Li Lingyun shot her best friend Qin Na. She was sure the reason he killed her was because he found out that it was Qin na who introduced her to Mu Chen. Li Lingyun may be every woman dream but to her he is just a monster that she will never return to. She will never forgive him for killing Qin na.

Lin Yan woke up and didn’t see Li Lingyun but when she went downstairs, she saw that there was already food on the table with a note.

She opened the note and smiled as she read it. In the note Li Lingyun wrote that he had an emergency in the company and had to rush there without her and also he would stop at the old mansion to take Li Xiao to school but what made her smile was that he was the one who made breakfast for her and he ask her to join him at the company after she was done.

Lin Yan dropped note and watched the news on her phone and she was not surprised when the news was no longer talking about Li Jun disastrous wedding. She knew the Li family was definitely going to take it down, however it was impossible for them to take it down from the memory of everyone who attended the wedding.

Lin Yan was about to eat her breakfast when she got a call from Yao Qi "Hello."

"Don’t tell me you have forgotten our plan to have a girl’s night. I mean after Li Jun wedding drama, I’m sure you need a break."

Lin Yan chuckle and said "No, I haven’t forgotten about our plan and you are right, I do need a break."

"So how does tonight sound?"

"Tonight?" Lin Yan asked in surprised.

"Yes tonight. You are free right?"

"Yes, I’m free but..."

"No but. See you tonight?"

Lin Yan smiled and said "See you tonight."

The call ended and Lin Yan ate her breakfast and got ready to go the company.

Lin Yan arrived at Li corporation and immediately entered Li Lingyun office. She didn’t bother to knock because she already knew that he was in a meeting but what she did not expect was the young woman sitting down on one of his couch, drinking tea.

Lin Yan closed the door and walked softly as she asked "You are?"

Su Yin who was about to scold the person who barge into Li Lingyun office did not expect to see Shen Yi. Though she has not really might Shen Yi personally but she has definitely seen a picture of her and she was sure that the woman standing in front of her was Li Lingyun wife and the woman who took away the man she loved.

Su Yin stood up with a polite smile on her face and stretched her hand as she said "I’m Su Yin, Li Lingyun partner."

Partner? What does she mean by that? Not wanting to be rude, Lin Yan shook her hand and said "Shen Yi, Li Lingyun wife." For some reason she felt as if she had to make that fact clear to this woman.
