Li Jun who was busy having a video call meeting suddenly frowned when he saw Zhou Xi calling him. He first ignored the call but when she called a second time he answered it and said "There better be a good reason you are disturbing me."

Zhou Xi chuckled lightly and said "Is the fact that Fang Min think that Shen Yi is currently carrying your child a good enough reason?"

"What?"

"She hired someone to follow you around and thought that both of us were having an affair. She came and threatened me, that if I don’t leave you, I would end up like Lin Yan."

"Did you tell her ..."

"That Lin Yan and Shen Yi are the same person? Of course not, but i did mistakenly tell her that you think Shen Yi child is yours."

"I will kill you." Li Jun replied coldly.

"You shouldn’t be focusing on me right now. You and I both know that Fang Min obsession with you might have her hurt Shen Yi the same way she hurted Lin Yan." Zhou Xi replied.

Li Jun immediately ended the call and called his assistant as he said "Cancel all my meetings for today, I will attend to them tomorrow."

"Yes sir."

"And also find out where Shen Yi is right now."

Lin Yan who was out buying baby clothes with Yao Qi looked at her and asked "You look so excited?"

"Do I? I’m just glad that grandma suddenly agreed to me and Meng Zhu adopting a child."

"But I don’t understand, why was she so against it, even me was sure that she would immediately agreed to it."

"She did agreed to it but for some reason she suddenly changed her mind and now she has given her full consent for it."

Lin Yan smiled when she picked two baby socks and asked "Have you chosen a baby yet?"

"Yes. Even though grandmother disapproved, me and Meng Zhu heart has already gotten stolen by a cute baby girl. You should see her Shen Yi, she has this big beautiful eyes and whenever me and Meng Zhu go to visit her, her face just lights up as if she is so excited to see us."

Lin Yan laughed gently and asked "How old is she?"

"Two years, I can’t wait to bring her home."

"But what about Meng Ziyi and Mu Chen?"

Yao Qi had a look of hesitation before saying "They are filing for a divorce."

"A divorce? But why?"

"Didn’t Li Lingyun tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"You know Mu Chen and Meng Ziyi decided to get their own house right?"

"Yeah, I heard of that."

"So one day when Mu Chen travelled to do a shoot, Meng Ziyi who was at home alone with their baby, got called by her friends and left the baby alone in the house. When she came back from her partying, she found out the little child was no longer breathing, he was rushed to the hospital but was already dead."

Lin Yan was shocked by what she just heard, she looked at Yao Qi and asked "But when did this happen?"

"Like two months ago."

"And Li Lingyun didn’t tell me anything."

"Perhaps he didn’t want anything to affect you or the baby."

"Is Ziyi alright?"

"She is in therapy for depression. When Mu Chen came back and found out what happened, he filed for a divorce immediately. Meng Zhu is planning to send Ziyi abroad when her therapist has confirmed that she is fit to travelled and even Wei Si has offered to go with her."

Lin Yan sighed. She didn’t even know that so much was happening in the Meng family.

After spending an hour shopping for baby clothes, Lin Yan and Yao Qi came out of the mall when Yao Qi said "I forgot my purse, wait for me here or do you want to come with me?"

Lin Yan shook her head and said "I will just wait for you here."

Lin Yan watched as Yao Qi went back to the mall and when she turned her gaze back to the road, she saw the old woman at the other side of the road. The same old woman who told her Shen Yi was still alive, she wondered if she was seeing things or if truly the old woman was crying while looking at her. For a moment she considered if she should go to the woman and asked if everything was alright, she turned back to looked at the mall and saw that Yao Qi hasn’t come back and when she turned to where the old woman was, she was no longer there and it was then she heard the horn of a truck.

Lin Yan turned to see a truck coming towards her and froze, she wanted to move but for reason she couldn’t, her eyes became daze as her mind went back to how she first died. It was as if she was trapped in her memories, she couldn’t move neither could she breath, just when she thought the truck was going to hit her, she felt as a strong force pushed her out of the way.

When the truck left her sight, it was then she noticed Li Jun on the floor covered in blood. Lin Yan stood up from the floor and walked shakily to where Li Jun was lying down and said "What are you doing, why are you just lying down on the floor like that?"

Li Jun who heard her voice opened his eyes softly as he said "I’m glad, I was able to save you this time Lin Yan."

Lin Yan? Did he just called her Lin Yan? As tears fell from her eyes she asked "You knew?"

Lin Yan tears increase when Li Jun coughed out blood, he stretch out his hand and she immediately held it as he said "Thank you for being alive and I’m so sorry for everything I have done to you."

Lin Yan shook her head as she said "You are wrong if you think that I will forgive just because you saved me. If you are truly sorry then survive this, survive and get punish by me."

Tears fell from Li Jun eyes as he said "Be happy Lin Yan."

"No, you can’t die, open your eyes. You have to open your eyes and pay for what you did to me." Lin Yan cried out as Li Jun closed his eyes. She looked at the people around who were just watching and shouted "Call an ambulance."

Yao Qi who came out of the mall and has stood frozen ever since she saw Shen Yi begging Li Jun not to die, immediately came out of her stupor when Shen Yi shouted for someone to call an ambulance. She was about to rushed to her when she heard the siren of an ambulance.

Yao Qi stood aside, as she watched as the ambulance carried Li Jun while Shen Yi just kept shouting "He can’t die." She was confused, she never knew that both Shen Yi and Li Jun had such a strong relationship, but just when did they become so close to each other.

Yao Qi thought immediately stopped when she noticed the blood flowing down to Shen Yi legs, it was then she immediately rushed to Shen Yi and said "You are bleeding. You need to go to the hospital now!"

One of the paramedics who also noticed Lin Yan bleeding asked "Do you have a car, because I think she is about to go into labor."

"What?" Yao Qi immediately looked at Lin Yan who was looking at the ambulance in daze and said to the paramedics "I have a car, I will just follow you behind."

Yao Qi directed Shen Yi to the car and follow the ambulance behind, she looked at Shen Yi who has not spoken a word, she wondered if the woman even knows that she is about to give birth.

When they got to the hospital, the doctors immediately took Li Jun and Lin Yan to separate wards.

Just then Yao Qi saw Li Lingyun and Meng Zhu coming towards her.

Meng Zhu who saw blood on Yao Qi hands immediately hugs her and asked "Are you alright?"

Yao Qi nodded and said "Don’t worry, it’s not my blood."

"Then is it....." Li Lingyun was afraid to complete his statement, he sighed in relief when Yao Qi shook her head and said "It’s not Shen Yi blood either. It’s Li Jun."

"What exactly happened?" Li Lingyun asked.

"Although I wasn’t there but from what I gather from the people there, they said a truck was about to hit Shen Yi when Li Jun pushed her out of the way and the truck hitted him instead. The doctors don’t know if he will survive and as for Shen Yi, they think she is going through labor."

"But she isn’t supposed to give birth until two months from now." Li Lingyun said with a frown.

Yao Qi nodded and said "I know."

"Where’s she? I need to see her." Li Lingyun said and was about to asked the receptionist when Yao Qi held his hand and said "I know what I’m about to asked you may seen intrusive but I just can’t help it after what I saw."

"What do you want to ask?"

"What kind of relationship does Shen Yi has with Li Jun?"

"Yao Qi!" Meng Zhu called out with a warning.

Yao Qi ignored Meng Zhu and looked at Li Lingyun as she continued "Li Jun is a selfish man, he wouldn’t risk his life for just anybody and the way Shen Yi kept begging him to live must mean that....."

"That something is going on between them? Is that what you are trying to say Yao Qi. I have always respected you, especially because you are my Brother Zhu wife but I will really appreciate it if you don’t cross the line again. Thank you for looking after Shen Yi, I will take it from here." Li Lingyun coldly replied and left.

Lin An who was laying down on his bed with his eyes closed, immediately opened his eyes when he felt the vibration in his pocket, he took out his phone and saw that he has a message from Li Lingyun. Lin An frowned when he read the message and wondered how was Lin Yan in labor? She wasn’t supposed to give birth until two months from now. He just kept staring at the message for a while until he finally whispered "I guess it’s time after all."
