Li Lingyun came back from the company late at night. He walked to Li Xiao room and smiled when he saw her sleeping, he walked towards her bed, arranged her blanket and kissed her forehead before leaving.

Li Lingyun entered his room and saw Lin Yan asleep with her phone on her hand, he took her phone and saw the content she was checking ’How to treat yourself from cold without going to the hospital.’ He looked at her and wondered if she was feeling sick.

Li Lingyun carress her face and gently called out "Lin Yan, wake up."

Li Lingyun ignored her words and took his car key that he has placed in the bed and said "Get dressed, let’s go to the hospital."

Lin Yan watched as he was about to get up from the bed and immediately held his hand and said "It’s just a cold, I will be fine."

"Yes, you haven’t eaten right? Nanny Bao left some food in the fridge, I will warm them for you to eat " Lin Yan said and was about to get up from the bed when Li Lingyun held her and said "I’m fine, go back to sleep."

"You are not hungry?"

Li Lingyun smiled and kissed Lin Yan on her forehead as he said "I’m not hungry" He made her to lie down and covered with a blanket before going to the bathroom to take a shower.

"You don’t feel like sleeping?"

Lin Yan shook her head and said "I was waiting for you. I can’t really sleep without you by my side."

Li Lingyun smiled and climbed the bed, he wrapped his hand around Lin Yan and kissed her cheek as he asked "What’s really bothering you?"

Lin Yan smiled as she wrapped her hands around Li Lingyun waist and asked "You don’t really believe that I can’t sleep without you?"

"I believe but I know you are thinking of something else."

Lin Yan was silent for a moment when she heard Li Lingyun replied and said "I spoke to Min Yu today."

"And?" Li Lingyun asked as he began carressing Lin Yan hair.

"She asked me to help her in making Min Xue a legitimate child of the Li family. She said she has only less than one year to live."

"And you felt bad for her?" Li Lingyun asked gently while still carressing her hair.

"To be honest, I was shocked but I didn’t really feel anything, perhaps it’s because a part of me thought she was lying or maybe...."

Lin Yan smiled and asked "What if I end up going too far?"

"Then I will be there to stop you. I will never allow you to go too far, I will always be here. Ok?"

"You look bad." Lin Yan said as she walked into her brother’s apartment

"Thanks for the compliment." Lin An replied as he closed the door

Lin Yan frowned and asked "Did you drink all through last night?"

"Lin Yan, I’m not in the mood for you to lecture me. My head is already hurting as it is."

"Ok. I’m sorry. But what’s wrong, you don’t usually drink?" Lin Yan asked more gently.

Lin An and sat on the couch as he said "I met An Hui yesterday."

"An Hui?" Of course she remembered An Hui but did she like her? Of course not. Si Yan patted Meng Zhu on his back gently as he said "I’m going to go get a drink."

Jiang Jingyui turned to look at Meng Zhu with a smile and said "Do you know if he has a girlfriend?"

Meng Zhu was about to answer when Li Lingyun and Shen Yi along with Lin An walked to him. He smiled at Lin An and said "I’m so glad you are here?"

Lin An frowned and asked "You are?"

"Meng Ying friend here will like to know if you are single."

Lin Yan raised her brow in surprised and looked at the young girl in front of her who had not once removed her gaze from Lin An, before she could say something, she heard Lin An saying "Yes, I’m single."
