Chapter 46: Chapter 46: The golden egg

Riya woke up in her room with a slightly confused expression. She felt like her concept had finally reached a bottleneck—she couldn’t improve it any further or even understand it properly.

At first, she didn’t know what to do, even after defeating a high-level False God Realm expert. But upon waking up, clarity struck her.

She needed to break through to a higher realm first. That meant more battles to the death or directly killing those who possessed the Concept of Nothingness. However, she had no idea where to find them.

And even if she did, she wouldn’t dare to go after them. They could be stronger than her—seeking them out would mean certain death.

Riya stood up from her bed and headed to the shower.

Water droplets cascaded down her body, cooling her temperature as her tense muscles relaxed. Realization hit her—she wouldn’t be stuck at the False God Realm forever. A small smile crept onto her lips.

"Ishould see Sujikn soon... I need to battle more high-level False God beings," Riya thought as she continued her bath.

A Few Minutes Later

A graceful, feminine figure stepped out as Riya walked to her wardrobe. She picked out a fitted shirt and pants before heading straight to the lab.

In seconds, she arrived and found Sujikn slumped in a chair, her eyes lifeless.

"Miss Sujikn," Riya called, snapping Sujikn out of her daze.

"Y-Yes... yes, Miss Riya... You’re awake?" Sujikn stammered, scrambling to her feet.

Her expression was flustered, making Riya raise an eyebrow. "Are you okay?" Riya asked.

Sujikn sighed. She couldn’t bring herself to say it—not yet. She wasn’t mentally prepared for the princess’s reaction.

"I’m fine, Princess... Why are you here?" Sujikn asked. Normally, after such an intense battle like yesterday’s, Riya would rest for a day or two. But now, she was already dressed like she was heading into another fight.

"I’m stuck at a bottleneck, so I need to fight more beings to break through," Riya stated.

Sujikn instantly frowned and opened her mouth to speak—but no words came out.

She recalled the tragic future that awaited the princess. But stopping her from breaking through just because of her health was foolish. If she couldn’t advance, she would die.

With a sigh, Sujikn opened the door to the simulation room.

None of this escaped Riya’s notice. She could clearly tell that Sujikn was hiding something from her. But what?

As she pondered, the surroundings changed, transforming into a vast desert.

"Is my father dead? Or my mother?" Riya wondered. "No... If that were the case, the entire race would be in mourning. If it were my siblings, I would have heard about it. So what is it?"

Her mind churned with unanswered questions. Then, finally, something clicked.

"What happened to me recently?"

The experiment.

That meant something had gone wrong.

Riya’s thoughts spiraled. Am I going to die? Otherwise, why would Sujikn keep it a secret from her?

But she didn’t have time to think any further.

A terrifying aura appeared in front of her.

She couldn’t retreat in time, so she instinctively raised both arms in defense.

BOOM!

A deafening sound erupted as cracks spread across the desert floor.

Riya was sent skidding back hundreds of meters before she finally came to a stop. Pain throbbed through her arms.

Looking up, she caught sight of her attacker’s face—it looked familiar.

"Isn’t that Muyin?" Riya thought.

Muyin was her lover. But lately, she had been too busy and had completely forgotten to talk to him.

She smiled, imagining how many messages were probably waiting for her on her communication device.

Then her expression darkened.

The last thing she remembered, Muyin was at the peak of the False God Realm.

That meant...

Her gaze snapped toward the observation deck—where Sujikn was standing.

Behind the glass, Sujikn clenched her fists as she watched Riya’s frowning expression.

"I’m sorry, Princess... but I have to put you through nightmare mode. You have to survive, and this is the only way... I have to constantly push you to your limit."

Elsewhere...

Riding atop a wyvern, Muyin felt free. This was the joy of flying—feeling unrestricted, able to see everything from above, sorting out his thoughts calmly.

"With a speed of twenty thousand meters per second, it’ll take a day to reach the Forest of Pasis. So what should I do in the meantime?" Muyin mused.

He knew the direction, the beasts’ territories, and their movements. There wasn’t much else to plan.

In his past life, he had lived on tenterhooks—even as an immortal cultivator equivalent to the Minor God Realm, he had never felt at peace.

All because of Riya’s beauty, he had made enemies everywhere. Her betrayal had only made the pain worse.

"I guess, for once, I should rest a bit," Muyin thought as he slowly closed his eyes.

After years of running and scheming in his past life, he deserved some peace now.

As for the wyvern, it already knew the route to the Forest of Pasis. Muyin didn’t have to do anything. It would take him there on its own.

Forest of Pasis

It had been one day since Kael arrived in the Forest of Pasis, and the female immortal observing him was utterly baffled.

Kael hadn’t attacked anyone. He hadn’t hunted.

All he did was find a small, hidden space and use it as a temporary base. Every ten minutes, he would leave to explore the forest for an hour. Then he would return, change locations, and repeat the process.

He did this for an entire day.

The female immortal quickly lost interest and left. The only reason she had been there was to explore the middle lands before the upcoming battle between those two.

Unbeknownst to Kael, his cautious behavior had just averted a hidden danger.

On the third day, he finally stopped.

A grin spread across his face.

"The plan can begin," Kael murmured.

For two days, Kael had been observing the beasts in the area using his All-Seer ability, and he made a terrifying discovery—if you’re not at the False God Realm, don’t even think about stepping in. The weakest beasts here were at the False God Realm.

Terrifying, right? So how did Kael move around unnoticed?

Simple. He found a use for his Oblivion Body.

This ability possessed a trait that could be toggled on and off—the combined power of Nothingness and Void.

Void Body – Kael could remove himself from this reality and enter a null reality, a space of absolute nothingness where he could hide undetected. However, the passage of time was extreme—one second inside was equivalent to a full day outside. The first time he entered, even for less than a second, nearly ten hours had passed in the real world. That realization terrified him.

Nothingness Body – This ability made it as if Kael wasn’t there at all. His aura, physical presence, and even visibility disappeared completely. Unlike mere invisibility, which could be countered by things like paint or special colors, Nothingness left no trace whatsoever.

The Nothingness Realm existed within normal reality, unlike the Void Realm, which was separated from both normal reality and the Conceptual Reality—the plane where all concepts originate, also known as the Origin Reality.

By merging these two traits with his Chaos Body, Kael formed the Incomplete Oblivion Body. With this ability, he could move freely without hindrance—except in the Central Forest. Every time he even considered stepping into that place, an overwhelming sense of impending death gripped him. So, he avoided it entirely.

Over the past two days, Kael had been studying the behavior of the Fierce Beasts. He discovered that they loved to fight, which gave him an idea. While gathering chaotic energy from their battles, he realized it still wasn’t enough. So, he devised a plan.

Weaker Fierce Beasts lived within the territories of stronger ones in a hierarchical system—offering meat in exchange for protection.

During his observations, Kael discovered a hidden cave belonging to a particularly powerful Fierce Beast—a massive snake-like creature, nearly fifty meters long. Inside the cave, a single golden egg lay carefully guarded. The snake was so protective of it that it refused to let even its subordinates come near, establishing a one-kilometer death zone around it.

Kael grinned.

Nearby, in another territory, he had spotted a wolf-like Fierce Beast—25 meters long, with a towering shoulder height of 10 meters. It had the traits of a wolf but was much stronger and larger.

The snake and the wolf were the perfect pair for his plan.

Kael waited for the snake beast to leave its cave before sneaking inside.

The darkness within would have blinded any normal person, but Kael was a demigod—such darkness was nothing to him.

Using All-Seer, he scanned the egg:

Name: Golden Snake Egg

Rank: ???

Bloodline: Contains the lineage of a terrifying snake species. If it hatches, it will grow to at least the High God Fierce Beast Realm.

Kael’s eyes gleamed with amusement.

No wonder the snake guarded this egg so fiercely—it was likely its offspring, one destined to awaken a terrifying bloodline.

Originally, Kael had only planned to steal the egg and place it in the wolf beast’s territory, forcing the snake to track it down and engage in a battle. But now... he changed his mind.

If this beast was truly destined to reach the High God Realm, then its bloodline had to be extraordinary.

Kael grinned.

Not only would he let the two beasts fight, gathering an immense amount of chaotic energy, but he would also keep the egg for himself.

Now, one question remained—what kind of snake species was this golden egg from?
