Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas -
Chapter 148: I took my gloves off
Chapter 148: I took my gloves off
I don’t know if Seo-Jun decided to run away from the accusations because he knew they were all true and that was why he didn’t respond or if he just couldn’t be bothered to answer, same because it was true, but he definitely acted in a way neither of us expected.
Me, especially.
Was he thinking of a comeback? I wondered.
Or was he analyzing his actions thus far and trying to figure out what he was doing wrong?
I hoped that was the case. I hope he was finally thinking of acting like a normal human being this time and not causing trouble with his pranks and continuous sexual advances.
The last few days had been peaceful but in case he had a plan he was brewing, I hoped he would think twice after what had happened today.
"The movie’s boring, Hyung." Min-Cheol said as he dropped his head on my shoulder.
The other two sat a long distance away from us. That is, at the start of the movie.
But halfway in, they had magically, or should I say spiritually, found their way to the seats closest to us.
Jin-Yeok sat down on my left side, Min-Cheol sat on my right side, and Seo-Jun... I glanced back subtly to avoid detection... He sat right behind me and his eyes met mine as soon as I turned my head to peak.
I flinched and turned my face forward.
Was he watching the movie or watching my head? It spooked me.
"What’s wrong, Hyung? Still not comfortable?" Min-Cheol asked and subconsciously glanced back at Seo-Jun. He saw Seo-Jun watching me and then scoffed. "I seem to know why."
My baby was acting like a rogue today because he was very pissed by the Alpha named Seo-Jun. He should calm down a bit.
It wasn’t like Seo-Jun could steal me in his presence and hide me somewhere.
If I pat his head a bit, he drops his guard and acts like an obedient puppy, so I did that, and he relaxed his head on my shoulder, snuggling in excitement.
If he was a real puppy, he would bark in excitement but that was that. I could only keep such thoughts in my imagination and nothing more.
It caused me to chuckle lightly, and then my other hand was held by Jin-Yeok. His dating emerald eyes were sharply fixed on me and there was no trace of innocence or simplicity.
It was as if he wanted to ’eat’ me. Maybe I was just imagining it because it was dark, but that was the vibe I got from him.
"Jo-Pil," he called my name softly, his voice causing me to feel tingles all over my body.
Did I mention his voice was lethal? Yeah, I think I did. His voice could make me go crazy if he started to speak with the intention to do so.
I believe he figured out I was weak to his voice when I called him ’daddy’ during one of our episodes, ahem.
"Jo-Pil," he called my name once more, his lips close to my ear, and I flushed.
This was a bit much, wasn’t it?
"I took my gloves off." He said in a whisper and I glanced down. It was at that moment that I realized he was holding my hand with his bare hands and not the glove he had worn.
They were soft and warm and...
"It feels good." He suddenly said and my face nearly exploded with heat.
Why was he speaking in such a misleading way? If my hand felt good to hold, he could just say it completely and not react like we were doing something intimate or something like that.
And he was speaking with such a weird tone that I couldn’t stop trembling.
Min-Cheol was on my right side, holding my hand with his head on my shoulder and Jin-Yeok was on my left side, also holding my hand and speaking softly yet seductively into my ears.
I also felt Seo-Jun’s gaze had also intensified to some degree. It was as if he was planning to bore holes into my head with his eyes and it made me shudder. Not just his gaze but Jin-Yeok’s actions included.
Min-Cheol wasn’t doing anything, but his head was on my shoulder, and I could softly feel his breath on my neck from time to time. Just how was that possible when his head was on my shoulder?
Maybe I was overthinking.
Maybe I was overreacting... But I was getting tense.
I felt hot and uncomfortable.
With all this going on, I couldn’t even pay attention to the movie in front of us. Was Min-Cheol, who really wanted to watch a movie in a movie theater for the first time, watching? Or was he simply engaging in an unholy act like acting like an innocent puppy and snuggling in my arms?
How much longer was the movie? I wondered.
How much more did I have to bear in this rather uncomfortable situation?
If this goes on, I don’t know who will lose their mind first.
Whether it was the lady in the movie who was crazily looking for her husband all over the country or me who was trying to watch?
"This sucks." I suddenly heard Seo-Jun say and turned my head a bit to find him still looking at me but as soon as our eyes met, he shifted his gaze to the movie.
Did he hate the movie?
But why did it seem like he was referring to our situation instead of the movie?
I was the one who was getting sucked dry by their affection so why was he the one complaining?
"The movie’s boring." He added and got up. "Isn’t it boring for you too?"
"Well," I didn’t watch enough to know if it was boring or not but I feared that if we went out right now when the movie wasn’t even completed, it would have a negative impact on the movie.
We didn’t even watch it, and yet, because of us, it might start to flop.
The headline, ’Movie flops because it did not Appeal to the Alphas’ would go around the Internet for sure.
"Yeah," I answered. "But let’s appreciate the people who put in effort to make it." I said to him and hoped he would listen. "Let’s just watch it to the end."
Seo-Jun stared at me, contemplating while boring his eyes into mine. What? Were the answers in my eyes?
I wanted to look away, but it would look like I was dishonest, so I maintained eye contact while sweating quite a bit.
"Alright." He said and sat down, leaving me to sigh in relief. "I guess we can just buy some time." He took out his phone and I turned my attention back to the movie.
But soon, I began to feel his gaze on me again.
I swear, he was definitely planning to dig a hole in my head with his eyes.
"I just don’t get it." He suddenly said but I didn’t hear him properly since he said it in such a muffled tone as if he was grumbling.
"Did you say something?" I asked.
I took the courtesy of asking but he disregarded that and ignored me, facing his phone like he didn’t hear my question.
It got me a bit angry but I calmed my nerves.
This must be how he felt when we ignored him before.
I thought and then twisted my lips.
It... It wasn’t a nice feeling at all, being ignored.
"Master Sun," I called and he raised his gaze from his phone. "Sorry." I simply said and said nothing more.
I did not tell him the reason I was apologizing and he did not ask either. He simply pondered and began to bore his eyes through my skull once again, trying to figure me out.
If he had any questions, he could just ask. He didn’t need to act like ’Sherlock Holmes’ with no leads.
The movie finally ended and I got to stretch my arms after those two finally let me go.
News flash, they both fell asleep.
"I had a good sleep, Hyung."

Ki-hoon was at work, his pen scribbling over the files in front of him as he drew his signature.
He closed that file, put it aside, and opened another, signing the same way.
There were a lot of documents that needed his written signature and not a seal. It was exhausting but he had put it off for too long.
As he scribbled one more signature, he paused and looked up, a random thought popping into his mind that had nothing to do with his work.
"Should I get him strawberries?" He wondered out loud and then continued scribbling his signature as if he had said nothing. But then he paused again. "No, I should get him apples instead."
It was hard to choose between the two but he decided to just get him both of them.
He left work early after finishing the signatures with a basketball of apples and strawberries, but when he got home, he heard from the maids that Jo-Pil had gone out with Min-Cheol, and the other two left afterward.
He looked at the basket of fruits, his eyes dark as he thought of Jo-Pil having fun without him.
Then, he raised his head, tilting it to the side, his expression looking like an abandoned kitten as he confessed.
"I’m so jealous. I want to play outside with Jo-Pil as well."
His assistant, who had been watching him all along, trembled as he fought hard to contain his laughter.
What was wrong with his boss?
