Matthias showed a relaxed smile as he slowly stroked his wife’s beautiful hair. "Why did you suddenly bring up the necklace again?"

"Because I’m just curious. Who deserves to receive that necklace from you. Moreover, that necklace is hard to get."

"Don’t worry, I won’t give it to just anyone. I will definitely conduct a strict assessment."

For Victoria, Matthias didn’t need to make an assessment either. That reason made her hate Matthias even more because if based on the assessment, Amber was the winner, it meant that only Amber could be his life partner. "Although in the eyes of everyone, this dress is quite beautiful, not everyone is suitable to wear it, especially you. If you feel uncomfortable wearing this dress, you should not force yourself. I should buy the dress for you."

"No need. I will also return this dress to Amber after the party is over."

"I want you to just behave yourself. I don’t want everyone to know our real relationship, because we’re not truly in love."

Spontaneously Victoria moved away from her husband while looking away. She lifted her tight dress and walked around the venue.

Meanwhile, Matthias still had a blank expression even though his heart ached a little after hearing his wife’s hurtful words. Even though his wife had hurt his feelings several times, he still found it hard to hate his wife. Because only Victoria’s name was worthy of being engraved in his heart.

He also didn’t want to just stand still. Like a single man, he walked alone while taking a chocolate cupcake. Even though he didn’t want to show off his handsome charm, the single women immediately swarmed him, making him even more afraid. He was afraid that his wife would misunderstand even more because of the current situation.

"Wow, it’s an honor to meet you, Matthias!" a woman wearing a black mini dress cheered.

"Yes, it’s like a dream. So far we could only see you through magazines or articles on social media."

While their friend immediately patted the shoulders of the two women simultaneously. "Don’t you two say things like that! What if Amber hears it? Do you wanna die?"

"That’s true. Amber will definitely not forgive us if we take Matthias away from her."

Matthias couldn’t stand the women’s argument anymore. He immediately put on a cold expression while finishing the chocolate cupcake in an instant.

"Ladies, it seems like you all have completely misunderstood now. First, I am not interested in any woman. Second, Amber and I are not dating. We are just friends."

"Really? You’re really not interested in women?"

"Don’t misunderstand me anymore. Actually, I already like a woman. But I don’t want her to be angry seeing me approaching another woman."

Matthias immediately left the single women quickly. Now he acted like a stranger to his wife who was standing alone. Actually he wanted to go to his wife now, but did he have the right to do so?

He was forced to hold back until the party was over. He was too lazy to socialize with anyone, because if he saw most of the guests present were his competitors. Besides, he didn’t want to be attacked by single women again. Now all he could do was watch his wife eating cupcakes from a distance.

From Victoria’s current perspective, she was furious watching a scene where her husband was attacked by the single women. She guessed that her husband would be happy because his handsome face managed to seduce the women. Then, her husband also talked about Amber enthusiastically.

"You’ll see. I can’t wait to divorce you after you hurt my feelings today!"

However, after thinking long and hard, why should she be angry about this? She still did not love Matthias completely, but her heart was not willing to see her husband with another woman.

Should she go to her husband again now? Her feet unconsciously walked slowly towards her husband who was standing alone. However, her movements were slower.
