Victoria began to get nervous looking at her current furious husband. Even though she was nervous, she wanted to protect her ex-fiancé from fighting each other. She was very sure that Matthias would beat Ansel up because Matthias was so obsessed with her that he would not let another man take her.

"Matthias," Victoria called in a spoiled tone.

"Why are you on a date with Ansel? Don’t you usually go out with me?"

Ansel laughed lightly and folded his arms. "You really haven’t changed since then, Matthias. Up until now, you’ve always been obsessed with a woman to an extreme."

This is precisely what made Victoria so shocked that her jaw stiffened. What really happened? How did Ansel and Matthias know each other? And since when did they know each other? Why did Ansel never mention Matthias?

"Wait a minute! You guys know each other?"

Matthias raised his head arrogantly. "We’ve known each other since we were in college."

"Then we are in the same class as well and we rarely talk to each other," continued Ansel with a lazy tone.

Victoria folded her arms as she glared at the two men. "You guys are really great at hiding your relationship all this time!"

"We really don’t hide our relationship," Ansel quickly protested.

"Really? Then while you were dating my wife, why did you hide this important thing?"

"Because why would I tell him this unimportant thing? She will be interested in you!"

His right hand immediately held his wife’s hand. "Victoria, it looks like you should end your date with your ex-fiancé. Besides, you don’t have the right to have lunch with him anymore."

Ansel also did not want to lose, his right hand holding his ex-fiancée’s hand. "Can you really be trusted? You just got married and I’ve been dating her for almost two years."

"How about we ask Victoria directly for her opinion now?"

Victoria immediately let go of the men’s hands in annoyance. "Come on, don’t be childish anymore!"

"So who do you want to date now?" Matthias asked curtly.

"I want to go on a date with you now!" She immediately pulled her husband’s suit sleeve.

A happy smile spread across his handsome face. Matthias confidently held his wife’s hand. "I’m hungry, honey."

Meanwhile, Ansel clenched both fists tightly. He still didn’t want to let his ex-fiancée marry his long-time rival.

"Ansel, thank you for inviting me to lunch. But I still have to accompany my husband."

"It’s okay. Your husband is right. I have no right to ask you out again."

Throughout the journey to another restaurant, Victoria was still reluctant to open her lips because she was sick of seeing her husband’s very childish behavior. She kept staring at the window instead of looking at her annoying husband. Meanwhile, her car was temporarily left with Louis.

"Who told you to date Ansel?" Matthias asked coldly.

"I was just asked out for lunch, not a date! Why are you so easily misunderstood?"

"Being asked out for lunch is like asking out on a date! Why are you so insensitive?"

Victoria grinned at her husband. "Now let me ask you a question. Why haven’t you ever mentioned your relationship with Ansel?"

"Because I don’t want you to be interested in other men. Especially when you talk about all his good things, I’m sure you’re more interested in him than me."

Victoria rolled her eyes lazily. "You’re jealous again."

"I just want to make you realize that you are actually married! You don’t deserve to spend your free time with your ex-fiancé!"

"Then, do I have the right to be angry seeing you being affectionate with Amber?"

A mischievous smile appeared on his handsome face. "Yes, you have every right to be angry. In fact, I like seeing you angry about this."

"Then I won’t be angry." Victoria folded her arms. "By the way, how did you find me? Was it Louis who told you to save me?"

"It was more likely that I forced him to give me the restaurant’s address. I looked for you in the studio, but I couldn’t find you."

"Don’t worry, Ansel isn’t a bad person. He wouldn’t possibly kidnap me secretly."

His right hand stroked his wife’s head slowly. "I’m sorry."

Victoria widened her eyes. "Why are you apologizing all of a sudden?"

"Because I made you uncomfortable earlier."

A faint smile graced her beautiful face. "Don’t you usually act like this too?"

"Yes, but if I think about it more critically, it seems like I am indeed very selfish. I also often talk to Amber openly in front of you."

"Anyway, if you disappoint me again, I really won’t forgive you!"

"But, you’re so cute when you’re jealous."

Victoria’s lips pursed. She pinched her husband’s arm a little forcefully. "You better focus on driving!"

Suddenly his mother called him. Matthias immediately answered the phone call while signaling to his wife by putting his index finger on his lips.

"Mom, why did you suddenly call me?"

"By the way, I heard that you were invited by Amber to attend her welcoming event. I heard it directly from her. She visited me a few days ago."

"Yes, I want to come to the party tomorrow."

"Use this opportunity well. You and Amber are already very close. You should just date."

"Mom, but–"

"You should just forget about your relationship with Victoria. You two were never meant to be together. Besides, if you two were to meet, I wouldn’t approve of your relationship."

When the phone call ended, Matthias spontaneously touched his wife’s left hand.

"You don’t have to be afraid, Victoria. Just ignore what my mother said earlier."
