Chapter 656: Those who wish her ill.
Chapter 656: Those who wish her ill.
That night, before many people watched the news, an urgent piece of news suddenly started trending.
"Jun Muyang was found alive."
Everyone knew just which channel to switch to if they were to confirm this rumor, Phoenix TV.
"And to start off the evening news, is a piece of great news for the Jun and phoenix family tonight as we have finally received an update in the horrendous events which transpired last week that took the empire by surprise, that is the mysterious deadly crush of air Juan into the sea. The CEO of Jun investments Jun Muyang was recovered alive four days ago on a tiny island along the south sea where he had been stuck for days with no means of communication with the outside world, water or food. Miraculously, he survived until his family found him. However we have been informed that he suffered dehydration and physical injuries so he was rushed to a hospital abroad for further treatment. Sources close to the family say that he is responding well to treatment and could be returning to the empire tomorrow. The picture on the screen is the only image we have so far as proof of life. It was taken immediately after he was rescued. We at Phoenix news will continue to update you more on the situation as the story continues to develop."
The female reporter paused and smiled, then she continued, "And in other news, the police is opening a nation wide investigation into a string of murders spanning over twenty years that could possibly be serial,____"
The news continued on but most people had heard what they had come to hear and seen what they came to see.
Some switched to their regular channels which they faithfully watched every night. Others got on to their phones to share this news with their friends.
In one restaurant, the lone man drinking by himself at a small table turned to a stranger siting at the table behind him and he said, "Can you believe it?"
And the stranger responded, "We all thought he was dead, what a twist of events."
In the building of Jun investments, secretary Wenzhe broke down and cried tears that he had been holding back since this ordeal started.
"CEO, I knew you would not die and leave me." He cried, loudly.
He was not alone in the office, other directors and secretaries who were working overnight to ensure that the company remained steady breathed out loud. The crisis was finally over, they had held on faithfully like captains of a sinking ship. Many competing companies had been biting and chomping down hard with the aim of stealing away their clients. They had lost a few, but it was nothing the CEO would not take care of when he returned.
Some of the female secretaries giggled at secretary Wen who was bawling like an infant.
"He is such a crybaby." One of them whispered to the other.
"It’s understandable, he has been through so much. Look at how much weight he has weight." The other responded.
A few of the executives simply shook their heads and slapped Wenzhe lightly on the back.
The picture of Jun Muyang with the bandages, pale face and bruised body was spread rapidly on the internet, even making it overseas and shared on the news of other empires. Most of them led their news with ’one of the world’s youngest billionaires who was presumed dead has been discovered alive..’
Chi Lian’s weibo was flooded with well wishers who congratulated her, but not everyone was a well wisher. There were those who wished her ill however and they did not rejoice at this news.
Like Yan Daya’s mother who was in an ambulance, escorting her daughter to a hospice of Yan Moon’s choosing. She heard the news through a small radio which one of the male nurses inside the ambulance was listening to.
"No," she shook her head in disbelief. "How is it possible? He deserves to die, why isn’t he dead?" She screamed each rage filled sentence louder than the next one.
She was filled with so much anguish that she launched herself across the tiny bed on which Yan Daya was sleeping and grabbed the male nurse by his throat. Her sharp manicured nails trailed past the nurse’s right side cheek and scratched it.
The startled male nurse struggled to forcefully the woman’s hands away from his throat.
"Stop the ambulance." His collegue, the female nurse banged on a small partition which separated the driver from the patients. "Stop it now." She shouted again, urgently.
As soon as the ambulance stopped, the driver slid the small partition open to see what was causing commotion in the back.
"She has gone crazy." The female nurse who was assisting her colleague to restrain the crazy woman said.
"Give her a sedative." The driver barked.
"Come and help." The female nurse said, very irritated.
Yan Daya’s mother was fuelled with rage and adrenaline, a combination of two things that made her unnaturally strong.
The driver alighted from his seat and came to the back. Coming from behind him were the members of the Yan family who had come to accompany Yan Daya to the hospice. Some had come as a courtesy, not wanting to appear supportive. Others came because Yan Moon had tagged along and they wanted to carry favor with him.
"What is happening?"
"Why did you stop?"
Yan Moon was among those that stepped out of his car to see what was causing commotion that was attracting the attention of other drivers on the road.
He was smoking, like he always did lately, something that made some members of the family uncomfortable.
"When the ambulance doors were kicked open, they saw the nurse’s holding their family member who was screaming. The mother was screaming while the sick daughter was on the floor.
"Are you crazy?" Yan Feng shouted loudly, and sternly.
"She has gone crazy, look at her. How can we transport the patient when the caretaker is insane? Please take your family member first." The female nurse shouted back as well. She was angry and she had a few scratches on her face. This was not how she saw her night going, she did not work in a mental health institute so why were they saddled with a crazy woman?
"Fuck this!" Yan Moon muttered and he returned to his car. From there, he turned his car around and left the others to do what they wanted.
Some followed his lead, and left immediately after he did. Those who were left behind were confused, not knowing what to do next.
"Please sedate her, we will deal with her on her own." Yan Feng requested them politely.
Thirty minutes later, the peep star who had been absent for two days made an appearance.
The mighty little peep star: [The life of the aristocrats continues to entertain us. While the Jun’s and Chi’s celebrate Jun Muyang’s safe return, the Yan’s are struck with another calamity. Yan Daya’s mother goes insane and some members of the family abandoned her and run away. Most notable as the first escapee is VP Yan Moon of Paradise hotels. If my family constituted of such people, I would run away before they betray me next.]
