Chapter 648: Colossal insanity

She was standing in front, while he was at the back and both of them had their eyes trained on the human on the floor.

If she did not have T4, her first assumption would have been that they got him or her but according to T4, this person was alive.

"Over one dozen bullets and all your lasers and yet this person is still breathing." she said aloud, with the intention of Muyang hearing her words.

She wanted him to be careful and not recklessly approach the person on the ground who was pretending to be dead.

"Oy, stop playing possum I can hear your heart beating." she said.

"And I can see the tiny metal alloys moving in your blood." Muyang added. Even though he appeared to be calm on the surface, deep down he was just a bit unsettled by this person.

"You can!" she raised her head and looked at Muyang.

"Mmm," he nodded.

"Wow, you are great." she complimented him, "Really, the best."

T4 was not having it and he said to her, "You two are either stupid or insane to be behaving like this when you are standing over the body of an experimental human-robot experiment which was a failure by the way and could self implode at any moment like bomb. Whatever this thing is, it would not have lived past three months. The alloys your husband can detect in his blood have poisoned him, all the metals they inserted into him have ripped him apart from the inside.

They took materials from parts of an old steel first generation robot butler from the area of the space ship which could be accessed and used them on a human, how crazy."

Chi Lian fired ice bullets from her gun down two times directly next to the ears of the man who was forced to face up because of the sudden noise and instinct.

He immediately fired a bullet from the small gun which he was hiding in his palm but Chi Lian had already seen it and she dodged the bullet. The sword in her right hand moved faster, slicing off the man’s arm.

Muyang sliced the other arm off with his laser and then he rushed to her side.

"Are you okay?" he asked nervously. He had seen the trajectory of that bullet and if she had not dodged, it would have blown her head off into dozens of little pieces.

This was because of the size of the bullet and the damage it had done to the wooden crater that it hit. The whole thing had been dismantled into tiny little wooden pieces.

When he received her assurances, they both looked at the arm who was sitting upright, not even flinching from the pain of the loss of his arms.

The blood sputter had also slowed down weirdly, and he was smiling at them like a crazy maniac.

Muyang walked over to the broken pieces of wood and picked up the bullet that head been meant for his wife.

It was a large bullet, one whose close likeness he could only compare to the kind of which he had only seen on television as the preferred choice for people who hunted elephants. But this was different from that because it was bigger and packed a stronger punch. It was also silent, and barely made a sound when it was fired.

"Have you ever seen anything like this?" he asked her.

She glanced at it briefly and shook her head. "No, never." she answered.

Muyang squatted down before the man and asked him, "What kind of bullet is this?"

"Ha-ha-ha." the man laughed.

"Don’t worry, there are ways to make him talk." She told Muyang. She had truth serum so no matter how tight his tongue was, she would make it lose and they would get answers.

As an extra precaution, she got a silver syringe out of nowhere and injected it into the back of the man’s neck.

"This will put him into a temporary coma until we are ready to wake him up." She explained to Muyang. "I don’t want him to bite his tongue, escape or take his life before we can get proper answers."

Since he was now unconscious, Muyang ripped the shirt from his upper body to take a closer look.

Instantly, both husband and wife were horrified by what they saw.

Half of the mans chest and stomach was inserted with metal, and this was not for surgery purposes but it was like a chunk of this man’s body was removed and replaced with machine parts.

"His legs too," Muyang added.

So T4 was right in calling the man an experimental human-robot experiment. "There is no lab in this compound, so, where did they do this to him from?"

Muyang on the other hand was of a different opinion. "The bigger question should be where they got the parts that have been inserted into his body. You could have ten thousand labs with nothing to use in such an experiment. But even just one lab with, with dozens of these experimental materials is very dangerous. I guess they got something from that ship and they have been using it on him. We don’t know what else they got or who else they used it on."

"It looks like the work of a mad scientist." She commented.

"It’s insanity, that’s what it is." He added. "You can’t do something like this without completely altering the genetics of a human being. Did they even research this before attempting it? Were they trying to create a super soldier or a monster?"

She shook her head, and folded her lips upwards. This was why she insisted on Muyang’s bionic eye being put in by an expert and not a human doctor. This technology was unknown to them, they were bound to mess it up.

"So, what do we do with him?" She asked him. "Are we questioning him ourselves or handing him over to the emperor?"

The biggest percentage of her had a feeling that he would say ’hand over’.

"Not yet, we can’t simply hand him over."

His response surprised her, and the way she looked at him said so.

"Oh!" She gasped.

"You have seen my brother and his hyper patriotism, my biggest worry is what some of our own scientists will do or come up with when they see something like this. Who knows what kind of crazy ideas someone else might come up with? Rogue scientists are found everywhere so it’s best to keep this to ourselves. Let’s hide him away and then return with your invincible suits later to take him away."

"Host, I think, if his brothers had not come along with him, he would have hidden the space ship as well."

"Because we think along the same wave length. If the system did not want the space ship, I would have kept it for myself."

"Your mission wasn’t the spaceship itself host, it was what was inside of it."

Curious, she raised her eyes and asked, "what was inside?"

"You will never know host."

I would have taken a peek if I was not in such a rush. She thought.

"What are you thinking about, do you have another suggestion?" He asked her.

"I am thinking that I am done with this island and I do not want to return to it. We can put him in an invincible suit and you can carry him out. We can lock him up in the submarine and question him down there."
