Chapter 645: It looks like a flying saucer
"Great, show me." She accessed the virtual screen immediately. On it, was a surveillance video of every building, path, tree, animal and human in the stronghold currently. Not just the things on the surface, even those which were below in the ground were mapped out.
All the secret passages leading off the island and where they led, the cave prison cells where captives were kept. The luxurious chambers of the leaders, monitoring and surveillance rooms, all of it was available to her at the tap of a finger.
She had released all twelve drones that she had in her possession and now, they could be commanded to go anywhere as she pleased.
"It’s another dig site." she said.
One of the drone cameras closest to the prison cells in the cave was in perfect position to draw a closer picture that would be giving Chi Lian her first look at the treasure. What it looked like to her was that another group of people here were digging up something else. Rocks were being moved and carried out to access something buried in the ground.
From the map, it looked like something was sitting inside a very large crater and the diggers with their excavators had managed to expose a portion of whatever was inside of the crater.
"Call me paranoid T4, but that looks a bit like a flying saucer to me, or better known as an alien ship. Am I wrong?"
She had already been told that the treasure was not hers, if it was a space ship then clearly it was not hers. If it was what she thought it was, there were many questions in her mind. For example, how long had it been in the ground?
Who had drawn the location of the spaceship or whatever it was on the clocks? What was their purpose? Did they discover it when it landed on earth?
What if it came with aliens on board, then what happened to them? Did they die or were they living like normal human beings here on earth? Was it them that drew the maps in the hopes that one of their own would someday discover them and find their way back to the ship?
There was a lot of mystery wrapped up in this thing and she wanted answers because the curiosity was burning inside of her like a hot fire fanned by natural gas that refused to die.
"Hey, answer me." she said when T4 the usually talkative system remained uncharacteristically silent.
"The outside security has been cut off host and the soldiers are invading right now. You need to move and complete your mission more than you need answers that I cannot provide."
"Dammit!" she softly muttered.
She flew to the prison caves at the far end of the compound and took off the invincible suit. Her sudden appearance at the entrance of the cave startled two of the armed guards that were protecting it.
"What the hell!" one of them asked. His eyes had widened in panic and shock.
"Ghost." the other said.
Chi Lian looked at herself, she was dressed in a body hugging black latex suit which she thought made her look cool. Her hair which had been dyed black a few weeks ago was flowing down to her shoulders and to her lips, she had applied a bold red lip stick.
She had a belt around her waist on which she holstered her two swords and the smart gun. She did not look like a ghost in any way.
"I assure you, I am no ghost." she answered. With lighting speed, one of the two swords was released and she sliced both of the guns in the hands of the men.
Freaked out, one threw a punch that she simply dodged by moving her head slightly to the side.
"Apapa," she said a gibberish word while wagging her index finger back and forth. Then she held the arm which attempted to hit her and flung the man over her shoulder with her super strength.
She could hear his scream as he flew in the air, but where he landed, she did not know.
"Your turn." she told the other.
He was expecting to be flung over her shoulder as well, so he fumbled for the knife on his belt but she shot him with the smart gun and stepped over his body to enter the cave.
The cave was lit by old style torches that were attached on the walls. The walls, she noticed had hand drawn paintings which appeared to be quite aged. She grabbed one of the torches and moved from painting to painting, and what she noticed was that they told a story in a particular order.
In one of the paintings, children were playing and adults were sitting around a big fire over which something was being roasted. In the next painting, there was a moon and stars in which represented night from her guess.
In another painting, the stars became bigger and brighter, then their color changed and they turned red.
"How old are these paintings T4, this is fascinating stuff." she touched one just to see if whatever they used to draw would come off. It didn’t and she laughed softly.
"Now this is the kind of breaking news I need, make sure that you capture all the images clearly." she added.
"Mission first, your brothers-in-law are at the entrance of the cave because your husband is locating you using that smart watch. Hurry and get the ship into your virtual storage space."
She looked at the paintings one last time and increased her speed, running as fast as she could until she found herself on the other side of the cave.
It was an open ground, a bit steep because of all the digging which had been done.
Her presence startled many, one she was a stranger and two, why was a stranger here? Without saying a word, she started shooting anyone within her immediate vicinity that had a weapon.
"Leave, now," she told the civilians who were digging. Something that broke her heart was the heartlessness of these beasts because some of the diggers were children who were so young, no more than five years, she assumed.
How could they force little children to dig through rocks? Did they know how soft those hands and fingers were? Beads of tears made it down her eyes so quickly as if she was crying on cue and fury boiled within her heart.
The angrier she became, the more dangerous her moves became because she abandoned the smart gun in favor of two swords. And now, when she sliced, it was with the intention to kill.
As she fought her way to the top of the crater, loud booming sounds of explosions and gun fire could be heard. She would have preferred to carry out her mission in silence because the other armed guards were quickly realizing that something was going on.
Some of them abandoned the site and started running away while others got on their radios to call for back up.
One of the guards grabbed one of the children who had not yet escaped and held the child in front of his body.
"You have to kill_"
She threw one of the swords out so precisely that it went through the center of that guard’s forehead before he could finish his threat.
"Fucking awesome!" Ringo said as he heaved.
All of the brothers had just arrived and all of them had witnessed that last move. They quickly shot the remaining guards, making their way to her and when the last one fell, they saw something that forced their jaws to drop wide open in shock.
"Fucking awesome!" Ringo said, again.
