Chapter 635: Vengeance is served

"What happened?" the old master asked Ringo. "Is that the Yan family’s daughter, the one who threatened my grandchildren."

"Yan Daya." One of the triplets said her name.

"What happened to her?" the old master asked.

"Sister-in-law is taking away her senses; she has made her blind because Muyang lost an eye. Now, she is taking away her ability to talk and then she is going to cripple her hands." Ringo explained. "I didn’t think that she would have the stomach to go through with it and I was going to step in for her."

"Sister-in-law is going to make her live like that, she will basically be trapped in her body." The triplet who had been with Ringo all along explained.

"She should make her deaf as well, what if they get her prosthetics and she somehow writes a message or something." The old master suggested.

"You are right," Ringo said.

"Sister-in-law, don’t forget to make her deaf too." The eldest of the triplets shouted, loudly.

Since he knew what was going on, the old master returned to the chairs outside the operating room and he sat down. All of his grandsons joined him and they waited together in silence.

While some looked at the roof, up, or down, Ringo looked at the closed door wondering when the doctor would come out. He also wondered how one doctor could conduct a whole operation on his own.

He stood up, paced around and sat down, but he only did it briefly before standing up to pace around in a circle again.

"Sit down before making me nervous again." the old master told him.

He sat down, hunched over and held his head up by the chin.

"Grandfather, did you already know that sister-in-law was watching the Yan’s?"

"Is she?" the old master said absentmindedly.

"She has cameras all over their house and Yan Moon is a serial rapist murderer and she has found fifteen cases that can be tied back to him. She has a plan to make him go down for his crimes, why wasn’t any of this shared with us?"

The old master barely glanced at Ringo before saying in response, "Two of you here work in intelligence but you could not find out that Yan Moon was such a lowlife. Chi-Chi has good sources of intelligence."

Ringo and the other were embarrassed, intelligence was their strong suit and they were lagging behind Chi Lian. It was always like this in fact, Ringo thought. Like they were in a race but she was flying and they were on foot.

"So, what should we do about our own plan to deal with Yan Moon?" one of the triplets asked.

"Abandon it and start working on hers, whatever she is planning help her. Your plans were stupid, we would not be here if they were not stupid."

"This plan came from the emperor’s side." Ringo said fast, defensively. "The plan was to fake a plane crash so that Muyang and others would have time to search for whichever island the rebels strong hold is standing on, they would report back if they located it and we would make it look like a miraculous survival story. Things just went wrong, it was bad luck."

Again, they remained silent and continued to wait for the doctor to open that door and declare that all was well.

One hour and a half later, he did and Chi Lian who had finally joined them breezed past everyone and went into the room ahead of everyone.

She found him conscious, his eyes were pain and he was attempting to get up. There was a fresh white gauze bandage over his left eye which puzzled her. Why was it covered again?

If she had stopped for a moment to listen to the doctor’s explanation before rushing into the room, she would hear him say that the operation was a success and the bandage could be taken off in an hour.

But all of he attention was on Muyang, as she urged him to lay back down on the bed.

"Don’t be in a hurry to get up." she told him and she pushed him back down gently.

"Chi-Chi," he called her in a weak voice.

"You should have some water, I bet you are thirsty." she mumbled.

"Chi-Chi," he called her again.

"And something to eat," she went on, and she avoided looking at him. "I should ask the doctor if you are allowed to eat, you have been sleeping for many hours, since last night."

"Chi-Chi," he forced himself to sit up and he pulled her by the hand, dragging her to the bed.

She fell down, landing on his bare chest and she stayed there for a few seconds. She wanted to cry again, suddenly. There was a strong urge in her to wail loudly and pounded her fists on his chests as she called him a stupid dummy for taking this unnecessary risk.

She sniveled and forced herself not to cry, he might think that it was because he was technically blind in one eye now that she was crying. When she attempted to get up, he tightly held her and stopped from moving.

"Muyang," she said softly. "I..I..I was so scared." she blurted out and started crying, releasing those tears which she had been holding back. she sobbed loudly because the floodgates in her eyes had burst forth and they would not be stopping anytime soon.

The old master and the others stood in the entrance of the door and watched the couple comfort each other. Muyang was apologizing and making promises never to do it again as he wiped her tears but she just kept crying.

Ringo could not even reconcile the image of the woman who was sobbing here with the one who had just blinded Yan Daya. It was yin and yang, the complete opposite of herself.

"Let’s give them some privacy, they must have a lot to talk about." The old master suggested.

"Should we tell grandma now that he is okay?" Ring asked.

"Of course." one of the triplets said.

"Should we tell her about his eye?" another asked.

"No." the old master said. "Muyang will be the one to decide on whether he wants to share that information with anyone. It should not leave the few of us in here for now. To us, something like this may not change the way we look at him but to others things might be different. They could begin to look at him as if he is less than others in some way. Some individuals who have always been jealous of him might use it to mock him. Others will use it to attempt to undermine him in the business world. It is not our place to decide if anybody should know about his eye."

"Yes grandfather." all the brothers answered and nodded in complete agreement.

Behind the closed door thirty minutes later, Chi Lian and Muyang were discussing his new bionic eye.

"I got revenge for you." she told him.

"Thank you." he said with a smile.

"I don’t care about it, you are the same man to me." she told him.

"I know." he responded.

"I mean it Yang-Yang, do not ever feel weird about your cool new eye around me,"

He scoffed and smiled, "Cool, huh," he said softly.

"Mmm," she nodded, "So cool, it can shoot laser beams and see through anything. Do you want to know about the cool features?"

He nodded and she propped herself up on the bed and laid her head against his chest and showed him the manual which came with his new eye.
