Chapter 537: The star of the conference
Whether it was out of curiosity or simply wanting to take a look at the successful son of a wealthy woman, many women said says eagerly and their eyes covertly moved to the doors, waiting to see little octopus.
"By the way my son is single, all three of my sons are available for blind dates. Everything is computerized today so even the ones abroad can do the blind date online."
"Woooo." one young woman eagerly screamed enthusiastically and the others around her laughed.
Chi Lian and the the others laughed, incredibly amused by the enthusiasm of the young ladies in the crowd. An educated wealthy young man with a supportive mother was the dream for many of them.
The doors opened and a young man walked in, he was dressed in black jeans and a white shirt whose arms were folded up slightly. Physically, he was pleasing to the eye, not deadly handsome but he had that boy next day look with his black hair which fell down to his forehead and his bright charming smile. Even from a far, the clear sparkle in his eyes was very vivid. Little octopus was a handsome octopus after all!!
The cameras caught more than ten young women pushing their hair behind their ears, sitting upright or smiling cutely at him as he walked to the front, towards his mother. And when he climbed up to the stage, Wen Yuesong took his hand and turned him toward the almost carnivorous gazes of some women.
"Everyone, this is my last born son, Bo Yang, my little octopus. "
Little octopus smiled shyly and scratched his ear, "Mother," he said in a complaining voice. "Don’t called me that in front of people." He said it in a low voice but those at the front and the ones which sensitive hearing like Chi Lian caught his words.
Would her son ask her not to call him little monk in public when he was all grown up?
"Is he handsome?" Yuesong asked the crowd.
"Yes,"
"So cute."
"Adorable."
Wen Yuesong laughed giddily, "I will be at the little octopus shop if you want a blind date with him."
"Mother!!" Little octopus mumbled. This was so embarrassing for Bo Yang who was not ready for any type of serious relationship. His research had just broken through and he was at acritical point , to him dating was a distraction.
"Thank you all for listening to me today, I hope you achieve your dreams in life. If you ever need advise on how to join my line of business I am open to sharing some of my knowledge. Over the years, I have made it a point to do for others what the old woman Zhan Ruyi did for me." Wen Yuesong had shared all that she could in the little time she had.
"A big round of applause for Miss Wen Yuesong." Rize looked at the crowd of women and said.
This applause was very enthusiastic and loud, to the point that everyone stood up. The queen dowager was the first to step forward and hug Wen Yuesong. Eagerly, the press captured this picture, tomorrow it would be on the front page of one or two newspapers.
"Good job." The queen dowager whispered in Wen Yuesong’s ears. "I don’t know if it’s my place to say this because we are two strangers but I am proud of you."
Wen Yuesong laughed and surprised herself when she felt her eyes well up. Feeling incredibly emotional, she tightened her arms around the queen dowager and laughed in between tears. "Queen dowager," she said in a broken voice.
"Good job." The queen dowager repeated, patting Wen Yuesong’s back in understanding. This was an exemplary woman whose story had never been known to the world.
Only those women like Jing Fang, Chi Lian, Qi Meng and others from aristocratic families or in possession of incredible wealth were known. But how many young hopeful women out there could replicate the results of such women? Wen Yuesong on the hand was the perfect representation of the ordinary woman, the one that could be seen struggling everyday. She was exemplary, and on the list of women recognized for their inspirational hard work to be awarded this year by the emperor she would see to it that Wen Yuesong was included.
"Thank you, queen dowager." Wen Yuesong felt as if she had finally received validation for all her hard work. Finally, she was being seen, she was being embraced by royalty.
"Sorry," the queen dowager stepped out of the hug and held Wen Yuesong’s shoulders. "I am sorry that we never discovered you sooner, I hope that you will visit me at the palace soon. And I want to visit little octopus, the boat, the original one if you still have it."
"We do." Wen Yuesong nodded eagerly. "I bought a piece of land near Kua’i beach and parked it there. It’s a boat house now where I spend the last week of summer with one of my children or alone. I could not bear to destroy it."
"Then it’s settled, I will join you for one day in the last week of summer." The queen dowager wanted to see the one ship which birthed fishing ships and large vessels.
She shook little octopus, Bo Yang’s hand and stepped away, giving room to the other women to come in and embrace Wen Yuesong. Of all their stories. hers was the most inspirational perhaps.
Wen Yuesong did not stay around for long, she left with her son while the conference was opened up for a question and answer session. Many women had been waiting for this session because they had many questions relating to both business and life. After that session, they broke for lunch which would be followed up by visits to the booths of those that had ideas or products to sell in exchange for buy outs or investments.
During the lunch break, Chi Lian posted something about the conference.
The mighty little peep star: [Move over Yi Bori, make way for little octopus, the star of the second day of the conference. Meet the handsome Bo Yang, son of a wealthy woman who started out as a simple seafood saleswoman. With good looks, a good education background, ambition, big brains and wealth, his mother seeks a daughter-in-law. Which lucky woman will win his heart?]
She quickly attached different pictures of Bo Yang, one with his mother on the stage and other pictures of him like one from the gym and another in a white lab coat, sitting on a bench in pear park. He was holding a sandwich in one hand and reading a paper in another. The very last attachment was a five second video of Bo Yang as a child, dancing in his little octopus costume. As long as something was on the Internet, no matter how old it was, T4 could find it. The video had been cleaned up and the footage was beautifully vivid as if it had been shot yesterday.
Beautiful Nori: [The handsome little brother is cute, the name little octopus fits him perfectly.]
Little lamb Shu: [He was an adorable baby just look at him dancing in circles, I want to scoop him up and kiss him.]
Princess meow: [Someone bring that little baby to mummy, I will raise him well.]
Cultivator Di: [ Isn’t promoting a handsome man at the conference taking away from the whole idea of an all women’s conference?]
Candy wrapped in chocolate: [I am at the conference and I can confirm that little octopus’s mother is very inspiring and she is a wealthy woman searching for bride’s for her sons.]
The interest in Bo Yang’s identity and that video of him dancing resulted into more people digging up more videos and the peep star happily accumulated points.
