Chapter 403: Cajole

Not only was Chi Lian still sitting on King’s back but she also convinced him to allow Muyang get on by opening a packet of the universal pet food. The horse which had been resistant instantly softened.

It was simply trotting around slowly with a steaming husband that was furious at his wife for attempting something so foolish and a happy wife who knew that no matter how angry her husband was with her, he would not be angry for long. She could plead and pacify her way of trouble when it came to him.

Muyang wrapped his arms around her waist as the horse walked. For some reason, the scenes on the big screen were slowed down, making it look as if this was the shooting a romantic scene in a movie.

"They look good." someone said.

"Of course they look good, it’s the young master Jun Muyang. Have you ever seen him not look good?"

"I wonder how many worlds I have to save to get a woman as beautiful as that?" another individual asked.

The old madam smiled proudly as if these compliments were all aimed at her.

"Make money and you will get ten women more beautiful than her." someone replied.

The old madam frowned and her eyes scanned the crowd for the owner of that voice.

Somewhere not far from her, the manager of the horse racing track was furious, he wanted those people to be pulled off the track and not romanticized otherwise another fool would attempt the same thing.

"Who is messing with the big screen? Turn it off right now." he shouted. He was looking in the direction of the electronics room.

As for the couple on the horse, they were in a world of their own. "Did you have to tempt fate?" Muyang asked her.

"Fate is on my side husband." she replied.

She craned her neck and smiled cheekily at him. She looked extremely happy with herself.

"Do you know that this horse is called mad and crazy?" he asked her.

"I know that this horse is beautiful and misunderstood." she replied.

Muyang smirked because her responses were unbelievable. "The last person that attempted to ride this horse is bedridden for eternity."

"Hmmmm," she wrinkled her nose, "I think eternity is such a magnanimous word. I mean the only time we refer to something as eternal is if it can live forever."

He poked her head and it moved forward slightly. "Teacher Chi-Lian, I don’t think now is the time for you to be correcting my use of words. What I want is for you to not be reckless ever again. I am not the kind of husband that would break your spirit but I am also not the kind of husband that will watch you break your neck."

He lifted her up and she was forced to let go of the reins. Now they were sitting face to face and she could not see in which direction the horse was heading.

"I don’t think this is the proper way to ride a horse." she told him.

"You don’t get a say in this." he answered.

She pushed her bottom lip forward and blinked her eyes. He could see that she was getting ready to plead and cajole her way out of this.

"I really wasn’t in any danger sweetie, King is a good horse. I calculated the speed and we had an understanding before I got on his back. This will be the only time I ride him as if I am being pursued." Then she added softly, "Husband, if I scared you, I am sorry."

Muyang sighed and he turned her around again. Looking in her eyes would only make him surrender. "From now on you only get one adrenaline pumping adventure a year." he told her. "I am putting you on a thrill seeking time out."

She had just managed to weasel her way out of trouble but she decided to try her luck.

"Husband, you know that scene in the movie where the heroine is walking and the hero appears on horse back and lifts her up and they ride away together at a fast pace."

"It’s not going to happen." Muyang answered her.

"But it’s so romantic, do you know how dashing the hero looks in such a scene?"

"Those are fake scenes and attempting one could result in death for one or both parties involved." he replied.

She pouted and lowered her head for a few seconds. The she raised it up and said, "Husband, have you ever gone swimming with sharks?"

Muyang could not help chuckling. "What is wrong with you?" he asked her.

"I have restless leg syndrome." she replied. She was used to moving from one end of the world to another from one thrilling situation to the next. She had toned the urge down now and little things like riding a horse really or driving a car speedily every once in a while satisfied her.

She felt him poking her head softly once again then she smiled at him with all of her pearly white teeth exposed .

Muyang turned her head around and he said, "You are lucky you are cute."

The arrived at a spot where a group of trainers mixed with police officers and fire fighters were standing. Muyang went down and then he helped her get down.

Suddenly, two paramedics pushed forward and grabbed her. They sat her down in the back of an ambulance and covered her with a blanket. "Miss, are you injured?" one of them asked.

"Look here." another said and he shined a small light in her eyes.

"Are you feeling dizzy?" he asked.

"No." she replied.

"Any nausea?" he asked."No."

"Can you clear hear my words?"

"Yes."

"Follow the movement of my finger." he instructed.

She did as he said, following his finger as it moved from the left to the right.

"Can you tell me what the day is today?"

"Uhm, Mr. Paramedic, I am fine. I did not injure myself in any way. All I did was ride a horse, there is no need for all this." she told him.

"We were told that someone had been trampled by a horse, we have to be thorough." the paramedic replied.

She raised her arms and said, "Look at me, there is not a single trace of dust or scrape on my body. If I had been trampled by a horse I am sure that neither my clothes nor my body would be clean. Can I go now?"

The paramedic looked reluctant but the patient’s desires had to be respected.

"You can leave," he said, "I you do not feel fine later on please go to a hospital immediately." he advised.

"I will, thank you." she walked out of the ambulance.

"Miss the horse is going crazy trying to get to you." a trainer said to her the minute she left the ambulance. "Maybe you should come and take a look because if it keeps threatening people I am afraid someone might really get trampled this time."
