Chapter 400: A young wife.

Because they had the children and the old madam, they took a car to the horse racing track. Spider and Zhangye followed them as the children’s bodyguards.

When they were getting out of the car, the old madam said, "Hmm, Daya is doing charity again, she is distributing food and blankets to the homeless on the streets. She is a very generous girl."

Chi Lian twisted her lips to resist the urge to comment. She had been doing charity for many days now to fill up her normal happiness index. She could have contacted the media but she did not because charity did not need to be a photo op.

"Chi-Chi does more charity than her." Muyang responded.

"This means they could be great friends." the old madam joyfully said, "They have a lot in common like being young, beautiful business women and doing charity work."

"Chi-Chi is younger." Muyang commented.

The path to the horse stables was built with grey pavers and little stones in between. When Muyang suddenly commented about Chi Lian’s age, the old madam tripped on one of the stones and she almost fell down.

It was Spider who extended his arm and saved her from hitting the ground. As soon as she was safely upright, the old madam glared at Muyang.

"Aiyooo, you must be very proud because you married such a young wife."

"Yes," Muyang deadpanned, "Chi-Chi is more beautiful and wealthier too."

Muyang’s upper lip was slightly lifted up and on his face he wore a smirk. He appeared to be extremely proud of himself.

The old madam sneered because she could not believe it. "Aiyooo, you are just as happy as a lark. One would think that you are the first man in the world to marry."

Muyang opened his mouth to reply and then he shut it.

The old madam made no mention of Yan Daya again and Chi Lian was grateful for it.

On entering the first place they went to were the stables. She wanted the children to see the horses first. These stables were partially owned by the royal family. They were large, about three buildings full of horses. About one hundred fifty horses were housed in this place.

In the barn, some of the horses were sleeping, while others were feeding on hay.

Mei-Mei was extremely excited to see many horses in one place.

"Horsey, daddy look horsey." she clapped.

"Yes, horsey." Muyang replied.

"Good horsey." Mei-Mei added.

"Very good." Muyang answered.

He turned his gaze to little monk and he asked, "Do you the horses Mengze?"

"Yes." Little monk answered. His answer was straight forward and while he looked happy, he was not giddy with excitement like his little sister.

Chi Lian had brought sugar cubes so she gave Mei-Mei one. "Feed horsey."

Mei-Mei was giggling when she took the sugar cube. She fumbled a bit and the horse eagerly pushed it’s mouth forward to take the cube but it fell down.

Mei-Mei looked down and she looked at Chi Lian expectantly.

"Mummy, sugar." she held her small hand out with her wide eyes pleading. Someone could be blackmailed just by looking into those eyes.

Chi Lian took another sugar cube out of her small purse and gave it to Mei-Mei.

"Thank you mummy." Mei-Mei smiled.

"Be careful." Chi Lian cautioned her this time round. "Mummy’s bag is not a magic bag."

Mei-Mei nodded and this time round, she carefully fed the horse the sugar cube successfully. When the horse licked her hand, Mei-Mei giggled and closed her eyes.

Chi Lian snapped pictures of all this on her phone.

Muyang looked at little monk and he asked him if he wanted to do the same.

"Apple." little monk replied.

"You want to feed the horse an apple." Muyang wanted to clarify what his son meant.

"Yes." little monk nodded.

Since he had no apple, Muyang looked at Zhangye and he said, "There is a souvenir and fruit shop behind the blue pillar. Can you purchase two apples for him?"

"Yes sir." Zhangye answered.

"It’s not necessary, I have an apple in my bag." Chi Lian took a small shiny red apple out of her bag.

Little monk fed the horse of his choice the apple.

Muyang leaned down and told her, "I thought you said that your bag is not a magic bag."

She replied, "Mei-Mei doesn’t need to know that. If she thinks I have a magic bag she will begin making random demands when she is hungry. You know what your daughter is like."

"The best little girl in the world." he replied.

She snorted and laughed.

"The most well behaved little girl in the world." he said.

She held her stomach and laughed some more.

"The most beautiful little girl in the world." he added.

She agreed this time, "I concur." she told him. "I have some good genes." she bragged playfully.

"How many times do you have hear people say that my children take after me in terms of looks?"

She pointed at his chest with her index finger. "They are delusional." she answered.

"All of them?" he asked.

"Mmmm...." she replied and laughed.

They were laughing in harmony when Ringo who had been helping Mei-Mei rub the horse’s ears hissed and said to them, "What did we agree on before coming here?"

Muyang and Chi Lian pretended that they had no idea what he was talking about.

"Did you agree to anything with him?" he asked her.

"I have no idea what he is talking about." she answered.

They laughed at Ringo’s expense and he huffed angrily. This couple really enjoyed infuriating him.

The old madam had briefly stepped out, she returned with a good looking young man that was dressed in a horse riding black and white outfit. He was holding gloves in his hands and he was whirling them around.

"I have brought the trainer, he is one of the top trainers here. All of his classes are booked out all year round. I have paid a hefty fee to get him. Chi-Chi, if you need horse riding lessons he can teach you."

Muyang looked at the young man that his grandmother was introducing. The young man was looking at his wife and smiling broadly.

"Miss Chi, I have always wanted to meet you." he said. "I came rushing the moment I heard that it was you that needed me."

"Nope." Muyang muttered under his breath.
