Chapter 266: Papa Chi should stop talking

After eating, the whole family gathered in the living room drinking different assortments of tea which Chi Lian brewed for them.

"Is this what you are going to sell, I like it." Chi Wei commented.

"Yes, this tea and nutro, I saved some for you all, it’s in the fridge." She answered.

"Sis, we have agreed that you are going to give me a job, right?" Chi Zimo looked at her eagerly.

Chi Lian looked at him as she scratched her chin. Her youngest brother could be quite playful at times.

"Are you sure you won’t play around in my shop, you know that I need it to succeed in order to drive a nail into the Chu’s hearts."

Their mother had already filled the brothers in on the fact their sister was encroaching on the Chu family’s territory.

"Don’t the Chu’s manufacture half of tea leaves we use in our tea daily?" Chi Rui asked his mother.

"I threw them out the moment their daughter tried to kill my granddaughter. How can I support the enemy? Isn’t that the same thing as shooting myself in the foot?" Mama Chi made a disgusted look on her face as made that comparison.

In the Chi house, the mention of the Chu family was like mentioning a taboo. It was hated and very much unwanted.

The television was on, playing a comedy series which nobody was really watching, and then an advert for the Aoi organization came on, showing orphanages, children being saved and food being delivered to the homeless. In the advert, people were being asked to donate as little as one Yuan to the great cause of helping the less fortunate.

"By the way, I donated two hundred thousand Yuan from the orphanage money to the Aoi foundation," Mama Chi suddenly announced with a very proud look on her face. "Do you know how much good work they do in supporting orphanages and widows? We should have more people like that in the empire, since we have been blessed with more, we should help out when we can."

Chi Lian’s face was very gloomy. She took the remote from the table and changed the channel before the advert even ended. The other turned to look at her with questions in their eyes.

She was the closest to their mother in generosity when it came to being a champion for the less fortunate in the family. Why did she look unhappy now?

"Mother, before donating to any charity in future, first talk to me about it, The Aoi organization, there is nothing good about it. They are a bunch of vultures masquerading as a charity organization. In fact, I suspect that they had something to do with that school where we found little monk." She explained.

"What?" Mama Chi asked loudly in surprise. Her facial expression was screaming disbelief.

"Chi-Chi, the Aoi organization has been helping people for so many years now, if they were dirty wouldn’t someone know by now?" her father asked.

"Dad, you worked and knew that embezzler for so many years. Did you know anything about it until he stole all the money from the company and run away?" she retorted.

Her father made a sour look on his face. Talking about the embezzlement, betrayal and bankruptcy was like poking his weak spot.

Chi Lian noticed that her words had perhaps come across as heavy worded and she hurried to explain, "Dad, what I mean is that we don’t always know people that well. I have heard things about the Aoi organization and if you all want to know more, talk to Kiki or Old tiger."

"Sis is right, I heard bad things about the Aoi organization when I was in school too. " Chi Zimo included himself in the conversation perhaps to ease the air of small tension around them.

Chi Lian smiled gratefully at Chi Zimo. This little brother of hers always supported her and he seemed to have information you never expected and a great intuition. Then again, he was good at networking.

She chose to soften her father’s heart by holding his hand, rubbing her head against him like a baby and wheedling. "Dad are you angry with me for bringing it up?" she asked in a childish voice. "I am sorry, I picked the wrong example."

Papa Chi of course could not stay mad at his daughter for long when she did this. He rubbed her hair and patted her head with an indulgent smile.

"Why would dad be mad at you? You are my most and only beloved daughter, I could never be mad at you." He said.

"Dad, I knew you loved me the most in the whole family." Chi Lian smiled.

"Of course, I love my only daughter with everything in me, I almost devised a plot with your brothers to throw a sack over Muyang’s head and beat him up when he started coming around for sleep overs." Papa Chi betrayed his sons by exposing the plan which was never meant to be exposed.

Chi Lian looked at her brothers with a pout.

"Dad, it was Chi Wei’s idea right?" she knew that Chi Wei was the most protective of her.

Chi Wei looked at his father with wide eyes, desperately begging him not to reveal anything. But Papa Chi could not be silenced when his daughter attacked him with her full on adorableness.

"Of course, who else could it be? Your eldest brother never liked Muyang at all in the beginning, he considered him a nemesis." Her father gladly answered.

Chi Lian eyed her eldest brother with a ’you are dead now’ glance. "To get Papa Chi’s mouth to reveal even more, she decided to add some spice. "Dad, I got you special peanuts by the way, I know how much you love eating peanuts with tea."

"Butler, go to the kitchen and tell the chef to bring the special peanuts I gave him yesterday." Chi Lian ordered.

The peanuts were the newest product from the virtual farm; they were very tasty and fat. If one decided to press them for oil, she had no doubt that it would be one of the best oils on the market. She was planning to use half of them for that purpose.

The chef came in with sweet smelling peanuts which Papa Chi grabbed immediately and held onto as if they were gold. But who could blame him when everyone was eyeing the peanuts with greed.

"By the way, when they were plotting, Chi Rui wanted....." Papa Chi started making more revelations after receiving a bribe from his daughter. His mouth moved endlessly like someone with verbal diarrhea.

The brothers knew they were dead with each revelation; their vengeful sister was going to get them back.
