Chapter 264: Becoming a horse thief

"Host I would suggest that you give it some xylazine first and put it to sleep. Then you can administer the full health capsule. I am not sure about the fetus but at least the mother will be saved.

I also suggest we get out of here as possible, the truck has arrived outside and it’s being led inside as we speak."

Chi Lian gave the horse a shot of xylazine and when it started dosing off; she threw the capsule into its mouth and poured some water down its throat.

After doing that, she realized that she was kind of stuck, how was she going to get the horse out without raising any suspicion?

"T4, is there anything can slow down its heart beat and make them believe that it’s dead?"

"Mmm, the ice bullets could work." T4 suggested.

Chi Lian was flabbergasted in turn. Was T4 suggesting that she shoot the horse! After all the hard work she had just put into saving it. Moreover it was pregnant!

"I am not shooting her." She responded in an irritated tone.

"In that case, maybe a cold pill could work. It’s a pill that..."

"No time for explanations T4 just give me something that will not kill her or risk the life of her fetus. We have no time, remember."

This was like one of those times when there was an emergency military mission and the captain of the squad was shouting ’move, move, move’ to the soldiers.

"In your storage." T4 answered.

Chi Lian looked at the little blue pill and then took it out of her storage and just tossed it into the horse’s mouth without even observing it.

It took about one minute for the heartbeat to slow down to a pace which made it seem barely detectable. The mare’s body felt cold, it was barely breathing, as if it had been dead for a while.

Thankfully, all this happened within reasonable time because the security guard who had dropped her off came into the barn with the truck driver.

"Miss Vet, this guy said he is here to pick up something for you." The security guard said while he was strolling in.

Chi Lian had dubbed some water onto her eyes and rubbed them until they turned reddish. "It’s too late." she looked up at the security guard with very sad eyes, "She is gone."

"Ooh," the security guard squatted down beside her, "Poor girl, she has finally left this cold world at least she can rest in peace in now." he said.

"Help me move her to the truck, I was told to send her off to be cremated." She said sadly and softly while sniveling.

Thankfully, the security guard did not question her, he and the truck driver helped her load the mare onto the truck and Chi Lian got on as well.

"Thank you. I am going to give the poor mare a proper burial, even though I was told to cremate it. If anybody asks, please tell them the mare was cremated at the hospital." She told the security guard and the truck drove to the gate and left the compound.

T4 had already put it into the hospital’s system. The only trick left was convincing somebody who worked at the hospital crematorium to collaborate her story.

As the truck drove on the road, Chi Lian was quite surprised that she had managed to pull all this off easily. It seemed that having no one care about the mare was a good thing in this case.

"Miss, where are we going?" the truck driver asked.

She needed to be dropped off to a place where she could not be tracked just in case someone found the truck driver.

"Host, in anticipation of that I ordered another truck which is waiting for you next to an abandoned building that houses a crematorium. The owner of this crematorium works in the veterinary hospital; you can’t believe what kind of luck we struck in this case. Even the heavens are looking out for you, it’s the perfect solution."

"T4, if you were here with me physically, I would kiss you." She answered in heavy relief.

The system took care of all her problems without her needing to ask. It truly was a life saver.

The truck dropped her off at the crematorium and the driver insisted on helping her push the dead horse inside so she had no option but to accept his offer.

After he left, she was left inside with a middle aged man who was staring at her expectantly.

"Are you the one who made an appointment for a horse to be cremated." He asked.

She did not even waste time and just pulled out a large bundle of cash. "Here, this is fifty thousand; the horse was cremated if anyone asks. Also, prepare some ashes just in case someone is overly interested. Are we together?"

She made her face stern, so that he would know she meant business.

"Of course," The man took the cash, flipped through it and smelled it with a happy smile on his face.

"If you double cross me you will die and I don’t mean it literally, I mean physical death. I already have all your information, Cho Shiquan. I also have information on all your family members. If you double cross me, you will not be suffering the consequences alone. "

The man appeared to be quite terrified; his facial expression was quite the evidence of his fear.

"Worry not, if you keep your mouth shut, I will possibly be bringing more business your way soon."

Chi Lian thought that perhaps it would be useful to have his services on retainer. You never knew when you needed the services of any one person at any particular time.

"In that case, I will happily cooperate with you miss. Do you require anything else of me?" he asked. He was still scared of her but he was bravely cooperating.

"Help me send the horse out to the truck which is waiting outside as you can see, it’s dead and I have to arrange its burial as soon as possible." She requested.

They wheeled the horse out placed it in the truck which dropped them off right outside her home.

She called old tiger and two others and they wheeled the horse into the green house to join the other animals.

It was still sleeping but at least for now, it was safe.

She remained in the green house for an hour, just humming and rubbing the mare down until it regained consciousness.

It tried to stand, quite unaware of its surroundings and terrified.

"Hey, it’s okay girl." She comforted it. "Here, have something to eat." She brought out another apple and this time, the very hungry horse ate it in two bites.

"T4, what else do we have for it to eat?"

"Carrots, apples, even fodder because we have some horses in the farm."

Everything that he mentioned, she prepared for the horse and left it in the green house to rest. She had some pictures and gossip to post.
