Chapter 256: Call me Auntie

The bodyguards were ready to face the enemy, it did not matter how many weapons the opponent had. They would fight to fight to protect the young master and his family.

"Everyone calm down." Chi Lian stepped in between the two groups that were reeling with clear hostility towards each other.

She looked at their bodyguards and said, "They are not our enemies, they are here because they have been invited." She explained calmly.

Muyang also looked at the bodyguards and instructed them to go back inside the boat and keep an eye on the children who were with the nanny at the moment.

With that issue quickly settled, they turned their attention to the visitors on board.

"Are you Miss Chi Lian?" one of the guards asked without hesitation. His eyes were glued to Chi Lian.

"I believe I am." She responded. "Is that the little prince?" she pointed to the little boy whose eyes were closed as he was sleeping in the guard’s hands.

"Yes, we have been told that you are going to escort the young prince back to the capital, we should set off right now because he is very ill and we need to get him to the royal doctors as soon as possible." The male guard carrying the little prince explained to Chi Lian.

While his face looked stern, there was a hint of worry in his eyes; he was scared for the little prince.

Because this was related to the royal family, Muyang did not ask any more questions; he went inside and gave the guards instructions. The boat immediately turned around and headed back to the docking area.

"Is it bad? I have some effective medicine; can I give it to him?" Chi Lian asked the guard. She wanted to help in every way possible.

The guard grunted rudely and refused to answer her.

Chi Lian was incensed very much. She was a mother and seeing a little boy in distress tugged at her heart strings. She had medicine which could make the little prince feel better in a few hours; all she wanted to do was help.

Why was the guard choosing to be rude and unresponsive in such circumstances? If she could be trusted to escort the little prince back to the capital then it meant the emperor trusted her. Shouldn’t his guard give her some leeway?

The little prince twisted and groaned in the guards arms. Even from a distance, she could see the little beads of sweat on his pale face.

"Give him to me." Chi Lian held her hands out expectantly but the guard refused.

"Just contact the emperor; if he trusts you he will give you permission to help his son." T4 suggested.

Chi Lian stepped away from the guards and made a phone call.

"Hell, miss Chi, has the little prince arrived on your boat?" the voice on the other end asked. Because the person on the other end called the little prince by that term instead of my son, Chi Lian assumed that it was not the emperor perhaps. It could be the royal butler or someone close to the emperor.

"Yes, the little prince has arrived on my boat but he is very sick, he is pale and shivering. I have two children who are just slightly younger than he is which is why I have medicine which is very effective when it comes to things like fevers, cough and colds. I would like to ask for permission to help the little prince." She made her request known boldly.

"Please hold on for a few seconds." The voice on the other end said.

Her ears were filled with some silence momentarily as she waited patiently.

The voice then returned and said, "You have been granted permission to help the little prince. He has been remanded into your care until he is picked up personally by the royal butler."

Chi Lian thought that perhaps she had misheard. "Uhm, what do you mean?" she asked for clarity.

"It means that the little prince will be following you back to the Chi family mansion until the royal butler or one of the princes comes for him."

That said the person on the other end of the phone hung up.

Chi Lian on the other hand was puzzled, all she was trying to do was help, why had she been relegated to official permanent babysitter until further notice.

When she returned, the guard handed the prince to her without question and she went inside the boat with him.

Chi Lian mixed a tiny amount of the contents of a permanent health capsule in the spring water and poured it down the little prince’s throat. She was sure that this would quickly restore his health; at least it would break the fever.

The little prince groaned and twisted so she patted his back and sung him a lullaby. They stayed that way until the boat docked.

From there, they returned to the Nanjing vacation home, packed up their luggage as quickly as possible and then left for the airport.

In the private plane, the little prince finally woke up and blinked his beautiful eyes at Chi Lian.

"Mummy." He said groggily.

"No dear," Chi Lian pinched his cheek and said, "its auntie." She quickly corrected the way he was referring to her after all; this brat had once referred to her as his wife.

"How are you feeling now?" she asked.

She examined his head and neck checking the temperature with her hand. His fever seemed to have broken and he was less lethargic than before. His face was flushed and vibrantly a healthy pink. The medicine had worked wonders.

She gave him some water to drink and went to warm up some milk for him. On the way, she passed by Muyang and her two babies who were watching a movie on a laptop.

She smiled at them and continued on her way. Little monk chose to abandon the movie and follow her into the small kitchen on board.

"Baby," she said in surprise when she saw him, "Don’t you like the movie you are watching with your father?"

Little monk responded by raising his hands, asking to be carried.

Once she carried him, he pointed to the bottle of milk.

"You want your bottle." She said to him.

Little monk nodded and so she took another bottle of milk from the well-stocked mini fridge in the kitchen and warmed it as well.

When the milk was warm, she carried little monk and the two bottles back to her seat. She gave one of the bottles to the little prince.

"Auntie, I don’t drink out of such bottles." The little said. "It’s for babies like him." He looked at little monk.

"Sorry little highness, auntie only has baby bottles, just take one tiny sip if you don’t like the milk you can stop drinking."

This milk was sweet and addictive; of course he would not put it down.

The little prince was reluctant but hungry so he sighed, closed his eyes and sipped the milk reluctantly. One taste and he was hooked, all thoughts about the bottle being for babies were forgotten.

Just like that, the plane took them back to the capital, the vacation was over.
