Chapter 251: Helpful Muyang
Chapter 251: Helpful Muyang
Muyang’s news was quite the head turner for her. It grabbed her attention and all thoughts of the frozen lake disappeared from her mind. She could taste the sweet victory of beating millions of people to find Hian.
"Really," she said with her eyes as wide as saucers. "Have you really found her for me Muyang?"
Her eyes had lit up, if she was a dog, her tail would be wagging right now.
Muyang smiled smugly and answered. "Have you ever known me to brag carelessly? Of course I mean it, my friend has found something however do not get overly excited just yet because it’s the last known location of Hian before she disappeared. Technically, it’s not her whereabouts, it’s just a clue."
"Are you kidding, that’s a lot more information than I have at the moment. Tell me what it is already." She eagerly held on to his arm.
If she could, she would pry his phone out of his hands and look at the information for herself since Muyang had received the update in a text. She was looking at him with stars in her eyes, as if he was her personal hero.
Muyang chuckled at the eager puppy look in her eyes and poked her forehead softly with his index finger and she pouted.
"According to my friend, Hian escaped the house with her child and the nanny three weeks ago. Her husband mobilized his bodyguards to look for her but they failed to find a single trace of her.
She does have a Japanese friend she made in America and while the Japanese friend is still in America, her name was used recently on a luxury cruise ship which landed in Kingdom of Taiwan three days ago. I think your Hian got herself to Taiwan but from there, he has no idea where she went. But he is still looking, so I will tell you if he finds something else."
According to this information, Chi Lian realized that Hian was closer than she anticipated. If she had made her way to Taiwan, it was likely that she was coming back here to the Chinese empire. It was her home after all, when one was running from trouble or danger, the most similar place to them is where they are most likely to go first for safety. But what was Hian running from?
"Muyang, does your friend know why Hian run away from her husband?" she asked.
If she knew the why, it would be easy for her to approach Hian with a solution to her problems if it was possible.
"There is a rumor that Kevin is quite the horrible drunk. Not the kind of drunk that talks a lot or soils himself, but the worst kind of drunk. He cannot handle his alcohol and he is fond of beating whatever body he can get his hands on, especially women. If I had to guess, I would say that he has been beating her."
Now Chi Lian could see why Kevin was working hard to slander Hian. If this information got out, Kevin’s credibility would be shot to zero. If Hian filed for divorce with evidence of domestic abuse, he would lose quite a large number of his assets to her.
"Doesn’t this put Hian in danger if he finds her first?" she asked Muyang with a hint of anxiety in her voice.
Muyang recalled that his Chi-Chi was a self-appointed mother Teresa, she appointed herself champion of the down trodden. Her heart was probably bleeding for Hian now.
"It does, let’s just hope Hian is smart enough to protect herself." Muyang raised his arms in a ’what else can we do’ fashion.
"No way Muyang," she said with determination in her voice. "If what you are saying is true, then I am more determined to find her, protect her and make sure that her story gets to be heard by the world. That cheating bastard had ruined her name and pooped on her dignity. He has to face the law for his actions."
"Poop!!! Muyang chuckled childishly. Of all the ways his Chi-Chi could describe Kevin’s actions she chose to use the word poop.
"Yes, that poopy head is the worst kind of bastard, after cheating he also slandered her and he is going around playing the victim. Ha!! He needs to get a taste of my wrath."
She kicked the front seat out of anger. Chi Lian could not stand injustice, once she came across a wrong; she always felt the urge to remedy it.
"Calm down." Muyang placed his hand on her thigh to stop her from kicking the seat again after all; it was also occupied by someone.
His little minx was getting too worked up over this issue. He had to solve the issue before she decided to take things into her own hands and personally went to rescue Hian.
"I will get my men to search every dock, harbor, and airport or train station. I will find her, okay." He assured her. "Don’t get involved personally Chi-Chi." He cautioned her seriously.
"I won’t." She quickly answered.
But in the back of her mind, she was thinking T4 on the other hand is different. "T4 please access the closest airports, harbors and train stations for anything Taiwan related as long as it involves a female travelling with a baby."
"What do you plan to do if I find her?" T4 inquired.
"I will tell Muyang I got an anonymous tip and ask for his help to rescue her. Isn’t that much simpler than running around on my own? Moreover, he discovered the traces or Hian first to help me; I should allow him to complete his plans proudly."
They soon returned home and the children were put down for an afternoon nap.
Chi Lian and Muyang returned to the living room to host their guests Yifei and her husband. The two couples were sitting in the living room and enjoying some wine while conversing.
Muyang and Liang were discussing golf, apparently Liang played golf for a while in his teenage days and he even considered doing it professionally. He and Muyang were arguing about the best golf player in the empire.
"Yifei, have you ever considered moving to the capital?" Chi Lian asked randomly.
The two women were looking watching a movie but they were not paying attention to it so Chi Lian broached the subject she wanted to bring up.
She wanted Yifei to move from D city and come to the capital to work for her.
"The capital is awfully expensive; do you know how much I would need to be earning to live there comfortably?" Yifei shook her head, "At least six thousand Yuan a month." She held the number six up using her fingers.
