Chapter 202: A new plan
Chapter 202: A new plan
Everyone had a plate of something when she returned to the green house. Maids were going back and forth delivering food and drinks hurriedly.
"Sister, I saved you a plate." Chi Wei waved her over to his corner of the green house where he was sitting with the Jun brothers. Muyang and Mei-Mei were also sitting over there.
The elders were sitting in another corner, with a well set table unlike the younger ones who were carrying their plates in their hands. Their drinks were on the ground and they were loudly talking boisterously about something.
"Chi-Chi, come and sit with us." Muyang’s mother called her.
She shook her head and smiled, "Mother, I will sit with Muyang and Mei-Mei." She turned down the invitation.
"Okay, you go; you should not be hanging around us old people so much." Chairman Jun said.
She was not the only one that was shocked by his words and polite tone. She looked left and right, then back at him. She couldn’t help herself. Even his wife and parents were shocked by his behavior.
Chi Lian smiled nervously at him and then quickly made her way to the corner where her brother was waiting.
"Sister what are you holding in your hands?" Chi Rui asked.
"The real blue prints." She answered and shoved some food into her mouth. With the first bite, she did not want to converse anymore for a while, she had not eaten all day and she was ravenous.
Ringo’s head shot up and he looked at her questioningly. Muyang dragged his chair close to hers and gave her the same look.
Due to hunger, she ignored the look and continued stuffing her face with food.
"Slow down." Muyang told her. He tried to take her plate away. "Let me carry this for you."
She glared at him and avoided his hand. He was feeding himself and Mei-Mei at the same time, how was he supposed to hold her plate?
"Ah," Mei-Mei widely opened her mouth and complained. Why wasn’t her father feeding her anymore?
Muyang’s attention was drawn back to his little princess.
In the elder’s corner, the old master asked, "Did you all notice that mark on Chi-Chi’s face? What do you think happened when she was searching for information in that town on her own?"
"It looks like someone hit her." his wife answered unhappily. "We never should have let her go on her own. Why did you stop us, we wanted to go with her?" She glared at her husband. "Her injury is your fault." She accused him.
The old master was stunned and he refused to respond. He regretted stirring the pot, he should have kept eating in silence.
After the meal, everyone gathered around the table once again to make a plan. Mei-Mei was handed off to Mama Chi to bathe and put to sleep. This freed up Muyang, the master genius to come up with a plan.
"I have the real blue prints to Cloud school; the ones on the table are fake." Chi Lian announced and raised the real blue prints in the air.
Confused, all eyes turned to her. "How do you know that they are fake?" the old master asked.
"There is no kitchen on those ones." Chi Lian said, "What kind of school has a cafeteria with no kitchen? When I noticed it in Muyang’s office earlier, I sought for help from someone else. They delivered the real blue prints, see." She swept the old ones aside and they fell to the ground.
Then she laid out the new ones for everyone to look over. "Look at this," she pointed specifically to the marked off points when everyone huddled around the table. "These are sewers which run directly under the school grounds. If we go through these, we can come out here, near the kitchen."
"Gross." One of the triplets said.
"Do you have a better plan?" Chi Lian looked asked him sternly.
"Not really, but how are we going to enter the school without being noticed. The old blue prints may have been faked but the security measures of the school which we have are not false." He explained quickly, avoiding his grandfather’s stern glare which he received after saying ’gross.’
"I also have a more detailed map of all their security measures." She placed the map T4 gave her on the table. "Here, here and here, we have security cameras. In this area, they have motion sensors so we will have to be extra careful. Then we have dogs, very brutal dogs that will attack if they catch even one whiff of our presence. Of course we cannot rule out the possibility of their guards being armed.
If they are doing what we suspect of them, we have to assume that they are willing to go to all lengths to protect themselves."
Everyone nodded in agreement with her words. They were looking at her with impressed looks on their faces. She had done sixty percent of this job on her own, reaching places even their money and connections had not gone.
Chi Lian continued, "The plan is to go through the sewers, once we are inside, someone needs to disable the cameras and someone else needs to disable the motion sensors. I have a gadget that will interfere with their network; we will be using special radios to communicate on a different frequency. "
As she continued to explain, Ringo could not help but wonder how she was so well versed in tactical operations and soldier lingo. As far as she knew she had never served in the military so why was she so skilled in all these things.
He made up his mind to look into her after his nephew was rescued. While his younger brother may be in love with her and she was the mother of his niece and nephew, he had the obligation to protect his brother from danger.
When her explanation and plan was laid out, she finally said, "If we follow my plan, someone needs to go shopping for hazmat suits right now, we also need gas masks. I don’t know if anyone can get bullet proof vests and guns but if possible, we need them, just for safety reasons."
Ringo was furiously noting down all the things she said. Of all the people here, he was the one with access to bullet proof vests and weapons.
"We can’t all carry weapons in there; it will not be a good look if the emperor were to hear that our family has private weapons." The old master disagreed with her part about them needing guns.
"Oh." She said. "So how do we protect ourselves if they have guns?"
"Ringo and a few of his buddies from the army can join the operation. They are licensed to carry weapons legally. "The old master suggested.
"I have a permit to carry my gun." Chi Lian announced.
"Wait, you have a gun!!!" one of the triplets blurted out. "How?" he asked.
He was not the only one with questions; some of the others did too. Privately owning a gun was no joke in the empire. You had to be quite powerful to receive that permit. All the Jun’s knew that Muyang had one but he was part of the special department.
Did he pull strings for her get one?
"She earned it." Muyang explained. "I wasn’t involved." He explained because he didn’t want anyone to underestimate Chi Lian.
With that settled, a few more details were ironed out and a plan was made.
"Everyone should go to bed now, tomorrow night, we attack." The old master announced.
