Chapter 201: A deadly weapon

At the base of the trunk was a large sealed brown envelope. She brought it out and found a pair of scissors on her dressing mirror which she used to cut it open.

"What’s this?" she asked herself again, as she poured the contents out. They were a bunch of papers, carefully folded.

She unfolded them and a blueprint was revealed to her. There was a smaller envelope on top of the blueprints and within, she found a letter.

Dear Miss Chi,

I have heard about the search for your missing son and the involvement off the proprietress of Cloud schools. As your emperor, I take it as my duty to assist those who contribute to the growth of our beautiful nation so I am involving myself in this matter.

I have long heard about the misdeeds of Cloud school and with my authority, the national security agency has been monitoring it for two years.

I am aware that your fiancé got his hands on the blueprints of the school from the building department. Unfortunately, that is the wrong blueprint. I am sending you the real blueprint and also marking off a few secret tunnels that could easily grant you access to the school grounds.

Fair warning, these tunnels are actually sewers and if you do use them, you will need to wear a hazmat suit or one just like it.

Full disclosure, I am planning to take advantage of your invasion of the school to infiltrate it openly. I want your assistance, once you get in there; do something big that warrants police and military to forcefully make their way inside to investigate. I would also like some of my men to go into the sewers with you, of course, they will follow your lead.

Once you make a plan, send the details to this phone number.

By the way, you should hurry, I have it on good authority that Cloud school is planning to make some transfers, whether it’s the children or members of staff, I don’t know.

Also burn this letter after reading it. Nobody should know about our cooperation.

There was no signature on the letter however it was stamped with the royal seal. There was no doubt that it was from the emperor. She could understand why the emperor did not want anyone to know that they were working together on this.

If the police and military randomly made their way into a school governed by a citizen from another empire and searched it, other foreign business men would get nervous. It would not matter if they were caught doing something illegal, as long as the random search was done without a warrant or credible information and evidence to back the accusations up, the narrative of the story would change. It would become an issue of empire against empire. Small fires like that had a way of growing really fast and wild. It would not take long for other empires or kingdoms to condemn their actions and set embargos or make threats to retaliate against their people in their own empires.

However if something major were to happen inside the school, something that warranted forceful entrance by the military, then the empire would be blame free.

"Host, what are you going to do?" T4 asked.

"I am going to take him up on his offer. He has provided me with the real blue prints and given me a way in. I would be a fool not to take his hand for now. If I reject him, what happens when I need his help in future?"

"Then you should save that number and burn the note." T4 told her.

She did as he said; burning the note with a lighter and dumping it in the metallic trash can in the corner next to the bathroom.

She needed to show the blue prints to the old master immediately, she could not risk delaying. Who knew if the children were the ones being moved? They needed to infiltrate the school grounds as soon as possible.

"Host now that you plan to invade the school, you should go shopping in the mall. You did not even check the upgrades; I assure you will love them."

Considering the gravity of the situation, she checked the virtual screen and moved to the mall. The mall resembled a Rubik’s cube. The cube had different colors and each color represented different categories of items which were clear marked off.

There was food, drinks, medicines, clothes, weapons, cutlery, minerals, shoes, and so many other things. Basically, it had anything you needed, the useful and the useless. The available categories were colorful, the unavailable ones were gray. When she received the mall, the weapons category was gray; today however it was red, meaning it was available.

"Oh, yeah, now I don’t have to depend on that damn wheel to buy weapons like a lightning gun, death ray, and a light saber."

She was mentioning weapons from fictional movies, not even sure if they actually existed.

"Host, the one thing that would support a military invasion of cloud school is a fire or an explosion. You can get something to aid you in either one of those tasks easily now." T4 informed her joyfully. He was happy that he had been vindicated. She was suddenly happy about the upgrade which she hated previously.

There was no death ray or light saber; some weapons were gray even though the weapons category was accessible. Before she could be too disappointed, she saw an evaporation gun which was available.

"T4, what does this do?"

"It does exactly what it name suggests, It evaporates whatever you aim it at. Just shoot and whatever it is will become a gas and be wiped off the surface of the earth."

"Whoa." She said in shock. Why in the world would someone create a weapon like this? If a bad person got their hands on it, nobody would ever be safe again. "T4, why does your world need such a terrible weapon?"

"Because some criminals cannot be rehabilitated, it is easier to remove them from existence than cross fingers and hope they will one day suddenly turn good. The creation of the evaporation gun has had a significant effect on the lowering of crime rate in my world." He answered her truthfully and arrogantly. He even sounded proud.

To her it was quite heartless. Who did not want to live? Of course everyone would be scared to commit crime if the after effect was being wiped out of existence.

She was suddenly struggling with the idea of redeeming it. Who could she even ask for advice on this matter?

"Host, you have a child that is possibly being tortured and this gun can stop those people from ever doing such a thing to another child ever again. Just take the example of doctor Ouyang, he pleaded and promised that he had given up on the idea of using human children as experimental subjects. And yet, he went and did it anyway. On my world, he would simply be wiped out. I would advise you to do the same, if Rebecca Mu is continuing Ouyang’s experiment, wipe her and her cronies out of existence."

T4 was like the devil, standing on her shoulder and whispering dark thoughts to her, trying to win her over for the dark side.

"I will have to think about it." She said, highly disturbed.

Sometimes, she forgot that T4 was a system, one from a world where mental strength governed everything. The strong were upheld while the weak were like a non-entity.

She also wanted to say, no wonder the plant life on your world died out. It was probably the ghosts of all those people who had been wiped out cursing them from the underworld.

"You are acting as if there is no death penalty on your world. What’s the difference between us and you except for the method we use in disposing of our hardcore criminals? You inject yours with poison and bury them in the ground or cremate them while we evaporate ours. You are no better than us." T4 said in a mocking judgmental tone.

Choosing to ignore him for now, she picked up the blue prints and went back to the green house. The old master needed to look at the blue prints and revise whatever plan they had come up with so far.
