Chapter 105: A very expensive event
"Host, the tents can be acquired cheaply if you buy them in bulk. No one really camps on my planet anymore; the weather has not been camp friendly for the past few years. Of course we are taking steps to remedy it." T4 told her. He was always listening to her business, nothing got past him.
"How many tents can we get?"
"For now, Jaggert can easily get you about three thousand tents by my estimate."
"Brother, change of plan, lets prepare an event for about five thousand people. Let’s include our musicians, in the plan. They can perform and get free publicity."
"With fireworks." Xue Lili suggested.
"And ice cream." A teenager from the boy group Axel suggested. His other group members high fived and their manager glared at them.
The few celebrities in the meeting had been called in because they were supposed to hype the movie to their fans in their fandoms and on their pages. Some of them were going to dress up as different characters from the movie and take pictures.
Talk of the musicians performing at the event suddenly had their blood roaring in excitement. For some like Du Moxi, this would be her first stage performance if she were to be given the chance. After the release of songs like Hello, dear lover, and always remember she had garnered a following of about one million fans. She was excited as well and looking forward to performing on stage.
"Okay, okay, let’s not get carried away, this is a last minute event, we need to start promoting it immediately as we plan." Chi Rui calmed the crow which was getting noisy down.
Xue Lili who was in charge of the PR department was already jotting down ideas furiously.
"I want to be the host, nobody fight me on this." The princess declared very loudly with her hand up.
"Now hold up_"
"Chi Lian, don’t say anything, you owe me for the party."
Chi Lian looked at He Weili. It’s you that owes her but I am the one being punished she wanted to say. However she kept those words to herself and gave in reluctantly.
"Rize, I am not saying you can’t be the host but I am suggesting that you don’t host alone. This is going to be a three day event, you will be exhausted. I think you and Bucky man should take turns hosting or host together."
"I don’t like that_"
Chi Lian wanted to remind the princess that she was not funny, she could not crack jokes and such events needed funny hosts, but instead, she chose to say something more practical.
"It’s either that or we look for a more obedient host." Chi Lian threatened. The only way to keep Rize was line was to threaten her with pausing or interfering with her career. That always seemed to shut her up real fast.
Redundantly, Rize agreed and left the meeting to plan her outfits for the event.
"What about tickets? Xue Lili asked. "it’s too late to make physical tickets for sell."
"That’s easy, we sell the tickets online." Chi Lian waved her worry away.
"Host, I will put up the site immediately. All buyers will be given a code which will be input into the computer at the entrance."
"I will set up a site in two hours; all the buyers can pay for a tent and food. They will be given a code which we will input into the site before granting the person entry on that day. Tents will be divided into VVIP, VIP and ordinary."
"Sister, that sounds good." Chi Rui could already imagine the money that would be rolling in for such an event.
"And the food?" Xue Lili asked.
"The big chef is idle at home; we can hire other chefs and servers to aid her. VVIP and VIP tents should have personal servers that can do everything for them. Mother, let’s use the same group of workers that worked at the party at home. Can you contact them?" she looked at He Weili.
"Already on it." He Weili was furiously texting on her phone.
"Can we get someone from the royal kitchen to cook for the VVIP’s. I think that can be another way of attracting people." Chi Rui asked.
"That will be expensive." Chi Lian commented.
"Not if we charge five hundred thousand for the VVIP ticket." He Weili suggested. "If we are going to sell this as an exclusive event, we need to go all out, we can’t leave any stones unturned. In fact, if we pull this off, then we should make it a yearly event."
"Still, that will be a very expensive; will people book a tent at that price?"
"Daughter-in-law, you underestimate the number of wealthy people in this empire. I saw pictures of that tent you used when you were gone, it was gorgeous. In fact, if the event was advertised earlier, even foreigners would fight for a tent."
"But_"
"Just, charge according to my prices, Five hundred, two hundred fifty, one hundred thousand and fifty thousand Yuan, the event is not for all fans, it’s for fans that want to see their idols up close, sleep close to them, eat luxurious food and be the first to view the movie."
"Mother, do you really think people will book the tents?"
"I think the tents will run out before the places are fully booked."
"What about the venue?" Xue Lili asked.
"That’s simple;" He Weili said, "the gift the grand emperor gave Mei-Mei last night is a large piece of land in the northern suburbs. It’s like a one hour and a half drive away from here; we can go and check it out immediately."
Everyone stood up and Chi Rui ended the meeting. All celebrities in phoenix entertainment were told to prepare for the event, except for those who were currently working.
"We should look for sponsors and security for the event." Xue Lili continued talking as they headed downstairs.
"Isn’t Muyang there, he can sponsor the event." He Weili said nonchalantly. To her, why would they need to bring in outsiders when all the benefits could be ripped by the family?
"No, at such an event, we need snacks, drinks like soda, juice, sweets and fruits. We need people in the food industry to sponsor the event."
Done." He Weili looked away from her phone and put it in her bag. When she noticed that everyone was looking at her questioningly, she quickly filled in the gap. "The Tao family owns one of the biggest food and Drink Company in the empire. They are close friends of the family, I sent a text and they said they would sponsor the event for fifteen million but they want five VVIP tickets."
"Wow."
"Awesome." A few people in the group gave He Weili thumbs up.
He Weili smiled smugly and flipped her hair back, "If you think that’s awesome, wait till you hear my next news."
"What is it?" Chi Rui asked eagerly.
"We should board the cars first; I will tell you when we get to the venue."
The group jumped into the cars and drove off the northern suburbs of B city. The area specifically was named Changang town. Once upon a time, Changang was a bandits den in the old days. However the empire fell in love with the green scenery on the move after his wife died and the bandits were wiped out to build a sanctuary city on the orders of the emperor.
Today, it was a historical town in the city surrounded by flowers, green trees and a shimmering blue lake. A large number of marriage proposals happened in this part of the empire for a good reason.
The vast expanse of yellow peonies with a wondrous smell was the perfect spot for a picturesque proposal and picnic.
Close to this area is where the grand emperor had gifted Mei-Mei a piece of land.
