Chapter 104: A mini Rambo
At the company, Muyang strode into the reception area with a wide eyed Mei-Mei who was playing with his tie. The minute the receptionists and secretaries saw him, they started sneakily taking pictures. The office group chat was suddenly going crazy with an influx of texts and pictures suddenly popping up at the same time.
"Oh my God, the mysterious princess is real."
"I thought it was a lie that the boss has a child, oh my heart is so broken."
"She is so pretty, I want to snatch her from him and cuddle her."
"I hope I will have a baby as beautiful as her in future, she looks like a little chibi."
"Did anyone see the hash tag Jun Muyang should be my daddy?"
"Where I have not seen it yet?
"It has been trending for a while now; those university students shared pictures and are calling our boss daddy."
"Hahaha, I would not mind having the boss as my daddy too."
These women had somehow forgotten that the office group chat included other executives and Wenzhe because they would not be calling Muyang daddy if they did.
"Are they trying to be fired?" Wenzhe asked himself and shook his head in disappointment.
"Keep up." Muyang roared at him.
"Yes young master." Wenzhe quickly stepped into the elevator behind the young master.
"Up, up." Mei-Mei imitated Muyang. Her little face was scrunched because she was trying to look as fierce as him.
"Yes, that’s my daughter. You should be fierce, as fierce as the commander of an army, like an ancient dragon warrior." Jun Muyang looked very proud. "Now, make your face like mine." He showed her some more fierce facial expressions.
"Boss, have you asked the young madam before trying to raise her daughter as a fierce commander or mini Rambo the fighter from those American movies?" Wenzhe wanted to ask but he could not risk losing his job so he kept silent.
"Go and warm this milk." Muyang threw a bottle of milk at Wenzhe as soon as they entered his office. "And slice some of these fruits for my daughter." He threw the baby food bag at him. It contained a whole bunch of snacks and fruits for Mei-Mei.
"Come, my dear, let daddy teach you how to make money." Muyang sat Mei-Mei in a chair he had specifically prepared for her and begun giving her serious lesson on money matters.
At her place of work, Chi Lian was fighting her own battle. The princess Long Rize was following her everywhere and complaining bitterly about the fact that she did not get an invite to what the most famous paparazzo in the empire had called a party of who’s who.
The paparazzo in mention was none other than the mighty little peep star. With a following of close to two hundred million, she was officially the most famous paparazzo in the empire.
"I am a ’who,’ why didn’t I get the invite, even the useless daosi was there?"
"Rize, I beg you to stop following me around and prepare for tonight’s show. I have heard that the matriarch of the Qui family already arrived here. She is currently being entertained in the lounge but soon she will become impatient. She is the special guest of the week; you need to treat her with respect." Chi Lian raised her voice at the princess. The woman was frustrating her, today was not the day for her to be sullen and moody over a missed party.
"I don’t care." The princess stomped her foot like a wronged toddler and sniffled.
"Oh for crying out loud Rize, you are an adult; surely missing one party is not such a big deal." Chi Lian scratched her head in frustration.
"It’s a big deal, all the people I know are sharing pictures from the party and telling stories. I am being left out. Even my grandparents attended, why did you leave me out?
"Rize, "Chi Lian held the woman’s shoulders and looked into her eyes, "I did not throw the party, for the last time, Muyang’s mother threw it. Isn’t she your aunt? You can call her and settle your grievances, matter of fact, she is upstairs in the entertainment company, follow me, let’s go and settle your grievances for once and all."
The two women quickened their steps and went upstairs to take the bull by the horns. Clearly Rize would not be able to work if she did not get justice.
"Brother, please save me from this lunatic." Chi Lian pleaded as she barged into Chi Rui’s office suddenly.
Inside the office, Chi Rui was having a meeting with a few managers, celebrities, He Weili and Xue Lili.
"Did we interrupt your meeting?" Chi Lian pursed her lips and tried her best to appear less embarrassed. Internally however, she wanted to throttle the princess and shake her until the woman was boneless. This was so embarrassing.
Thankfully, Chi Rui smiled and made space for her in his own chair. "It’s okay sister, in fact I was about to send for you, we could use your opinions."
"Oh, what do you need my help for?" she squeezed herself into his chair. The two of them were sharing one seat. Granted it was large and they could both fit but it was still a tight squeeze.
Why can’t he just send for another chair or let his sister share a seat with one of the managers. Do they have to squeeze together like that? Others in the room wondered.
"Chi Rui, are you a sis con?" Rize asked.
"What?" Chi Lian barked.
"Princess, its not like that, I just want her to look at the plans we have come up with up close." He explained.
"So you could not send the papers to her if she sat in one of the many chairs in the room?" The princess asked logically.
"Rize, if you are jealous, tell your brother the crown prince to come to your office and squeeze into a chair with you. We have work to do, stop harping on and on about useless things."
The princess pursed her lips and stomped her foot again. She looked at Chi Rui with tear filled eyes that were filled with a wronged look. All the men in the room wanted to rush to her and comfort her.
"Princess, I will move." Chi Rui jumped up guiltily.
"Sit down." Chi Lian commanded. "You, Rize, lose that white lotus look before I gouge your eyes out."
He Weili and a few other actors and actresses laughed. The princess would really have made a killing if she had gone into the entertainment industry. She could easily cry and look wronged on demand. That was not easy to accomplish, it was a special skill in their industry.
"Now, what do you need my help with?"
"Sister, the movie is being released over the weekend, we are trying to come up with a bigger marketing strategy and some promotion plans. Because we were in a rush, we did not have enough press tours and fan meetings; I am worried it will affect the ratings and viewership of the movie. We don’t have to worry about theatre viewers because Jun investments took care of that part but how do we make the promotion experience more fun and personal for the fans. We need a new way of doing things."
"Well, Phoenix television is also going live over the weekend; since the two activities are correlating then perhaps we can link them together." Chi Lian suggested.
"How sister?" The entire room looked at her.
"Mei-Mei’s birthday is coming up and I have been thinking about arranging a camping trip. What if we do a camping theme fan meeting and mini concert/ television launch? We can call the event camping under the stars with your stars. We can make it a three day event starting on Friday and it will end on Sunday night. I can provide all the tents and camping gear."
"Sister is it that campground 2000 tent type?" Chi Rui asked excitedly.
"Yes, I can provide up to one thousand tents on quick notice." Chi Lian she was not fooling herself by thinking she could access the tents.
