Chapter 100: A bigger devil

"Host, there are some people with shady characters mixed in the crowd tonight. I don’t think they are here with good intentions. They are dressed as servers but are carrying weapons."

Because the small dinner had turned into a large scale social event, He Weili had hired servers, and more chefs from outside.

"How many and what weapons do they have?" Before coming up with a proper plan, she needed to know exactly how much danger they were facing. She intended to handle it on her own, this was the first social gathering the Chi family was holding, and she would not let it become a joke or source of embarrassment.

"Host, I count three and one has a gun."

"Are they here for the royals?"

"I don’t think so; I think they are here for you or the Tang’s. All three people have triple eight tattoos. They must be working for Situ Bao."

"T4, where is Mei-Mei?"

"She is currently in the play area with the rest of the children, host the person with the gun is heading to that area right now."

"Send an alert to all the bodyguards and anyone here that is a police officer or military officer. Make sure you send the faces of the three men and warn them that these men are armed. Also send the pictures to Muyang; he is closer to Mei-Mei than I am."

As she gave out her instructions, she tried her best to move quickly without breaking into a run which would alert everyone. Her first priority was to save Mei-Mei and the other children from the armed assailant.

On the virtual screen, T4 was showing her how far the man had reached, it seems he had noticed something and he had increased his pace as well.

Suddenly Jun Muyang showed up in the play area with two bodyguards, "Hey kids, It’s time to eat some yummy food, the fastest person to the tables will get a gift." He announced very loudly and many of the kids took off running in the direction of the gardens.

Mei-Mei was the youngest so despite trying her very best, her speed was slower than that of the others. The bodyguards were trying their best to shelter her from the side while Muyang stayed behind her. Chi Lian thought the man would give up on the attack since the children were gone however as soon as they got close to him, he shoved one of the bodyguards and grabbed Mei-Mei.

Chi Lian arrived just in time and asked the bodyguards to leave. Now it was just her, Muyang and the assailant.

"Put the child down and I will let you keep your life." Muyang threatened coldly.

The assailant sneered and took a few steps backwards. His intention was probably to kidnap Mei-Mei. The assailant’s hold on Mei-Mei was so painfully tight that the little girl started crying pitifully. Her arms were held out to her father as she struggled.

"Who sent you here?" Chi Lian asked.

"You should not have interfered with issues that had nothing to do with you. You were part of the group that rescued Tang Siming; in fact you led the military and the police to the fortress. Our boss has said a life for a life. His son was beaten in prison, his back was broken, and he will have to live in a wheel chair for the rest of his life. I am here to cripple your child and I am willing to lose my life as long as I fulfill my mission."

As he said what he had come to accomplish, he dug his hands into Mei-Mei’s back. It was clear that he intended to crush it with his bare hands if possible.

A few more people came into the room and the assailant was backed into a corner.

"Host, I scanned the man’s heartbeat when he was talking, there are no fluctuations, he means what he says.

Chi Lian fell down to the floor and sobbed, "please, she pleaded don’t harm my daughter."

The man sneered even more, gloating over the power he was holding over the mighty Jun Muyang.

When Mei-Mei’s wail got louder, T4 told her that the man was distracted and Chi Lian wasted no more time, she took the Taser out of her storage, aimed it between the man’s legs and fired. All this sobbing on the floor had been part of the plan.

The assailant’s body vibrated and the man wailed, Muyang was quick to snatch Mei-Mei out of his arms immediately.

"Take him and tie him up with the others and hand him to the police later." Muyang ordered the bodyguards.

"Wait," another voice stopped them. It was Ringo; he had come in with the bodyguards because he received an alert about the intruders since he was a military official. He had subdued one and followed the direction where he had seen Chi Lian heading hastily. "You disappoint me, Little brother, you have gone soft, that’s why vermin like this think they can make their way into your house and take advantage of you. You need to remind them why our family is feared otherwise they will think they have a chance to try again. But don’t worry; your big brother will do what’s necessary."

Ringo walked up to the man whose body was still shaking in pain and holding his private parts while rolling around. "I guess my sister-in-law has cut off your descendants." He laughed villainously. "Now, I will cut off your future, you said you were here to cripple my niece." As he talked, he turned the man over and laid him on his back. He tore the man’s shirt open and pushed his hands down on his back looking or a specific point. "Do you know that the coccyx bone is the smallest and most fragile part of a human being’s spinal cord?"

He whispered to the man, "I bet you didn’t. But I will show you why." Ringo stood up and smiled at Muyang. "For this next part brother, you should take our sister-in-law outside, let’s not sully her eyes."

Muyang did not have to be told twice, immediately, he evacuated Chi Lian and Mei-Mei who was done crying. Truly, children are resilient because the little girl was done crying and patting her mother’s breast.

"Mama Milk." She begged adorably.

"Again, how many times is this today?" Jun Muyang asked.

"The third time, but she has just survived another adversity, she can have as much milk as she wants."

"Let’s go, I will feed you some bottled milk." Muyang grabbed her from Chi Lian and quickly made his way to the kitchen with his little angel.

"No, mama milk." Chi Lian could hear Mei-Mei demand loudly all the way from the kitchen. The milk she wanted was the pink stuff Chi Lian breastfed her in the hospital.

"Mama Milk is for daddy, you get cow milk." She heard Jun Muyang explain to Mei-Mei.

The little girl sniffled and cried pitifully, "See, daddy bought you a shiny toy." Jun Muyang sounded like he was bribing Mei-Mei.

Chi Lian opened the door slightly and peeked inside only to see her daughter playing with a King’s green jade. In that moment, she was truly speechless; she could not fathom the sight before her eyes.

This daughter spoiling maniac was allowing their daughter to play around with a jade worth millions. Was he crazy?

"Host, don’t let poverty limit your imagination." T4 said sympathetically. "Valuable Muyang can afford a jade mine if he desires one. Don’t worry, work hard and someday you will play around with such a jade care freely."
