Dorian placed her hands in those of the emperor, and signified the hand over of Carolyn Su to the Wu family. From this moment on, she would officially be referred to as Crown princess Carolyn Wu- in waiting.

After the wedding, the words___, in waiting___, would be removed and she would be Crown princess Carolyn Wu.

The hearts of those that had risen came back down. Markay for one, beamed proudly and suddenly exuded infectious excitement. He had been told not to express his emotions too vividly but he could not help himself at this moment.

The emperor turned to the Wu’s and said loudly in a serious voice, "I present to you the newest addition to our house. Crown princess Carolyn Wu-in waiting."

Carolyn looked at the Wu’s and she waved. They broke out in a cheer, screaming loudly and shouting welcome.

The younger ones added a few words like, welcome to the awesome house, enjoy your stay with us. Welcome to the best house in the empire.

Then, the emperor turned himself and Carolyn to the side and he looked at Markay.

"Son, you will be receiving the precious daughter of another house. When you take her hands, you will be taking responsibility for her for the rest of your life. Always remember that she is someone’s precious child, from a strong cultured house filled with love. Where she has been cherished, continue to cherish."

The Su’s cheered and clapped.

"Where she has been loved, continue to love." He added.

Again, the Su’s cheered in excitement.

"Where she has been nourished, continue to nourish."

Scarlet went crazy and set off the poppers before time. The loud bang had a few people covering their ears but the smiles on their faces did not die down.

The massive cheering reached a maximum when he placed Carolyn’s hands into Markay’s waiting ones.

As soon as he held them, Markay’s heart was filled with a joy that threatened to explode like a bomb going off. He was overwhelmed by his feelings that he released her hands and pulled her in for a hug.

Scarlet didn’t think people could scream any louder but it got worse, way worse. The addition of the bellowing of that royal horn made it even worse.

Markay led Carolyn up to a specially decorated and designated area where they would exchange rings. A special halo had been set up and it glowed yellow like the sun. Scarlet had even added bells which she controlled with her mind to start ringing.

The priests who had been invited to bless the engagement came forward, led by Fion who said a few words, lit some sweet incense, sprinkled a few drops of purifying water on them and then the couple exchanged rings.

When Fion was blessing them, the goddess of love entered his body and personally blessed them.

When she came out of his body, she smiled at Scarlet and winked. Scarlet nodded gratefully, appreciating the favor.

Carolyn and Markay now turned and faced the guests. She was smiling so brightly as she raised her left hand and showed off the newer engagement ring which was on her finger.

This was from the royal treasury, picked out by the empress personally.

The Su siblings lined up with their poppers and finally set them off. All the sisters were cheering happily, the men tried not to look so excited while their parents held hands harmoniously.

It was done, and all that was left was for the royal family to set a wedding date.

"Alex play the music." Scarlet said.

As the newly, officially engaged royal couple made their way down they needed the right kind of music to match the mood.

For this part, she had picked a song called unchained melody, it was slow and sweet.

Outside the castle, fireworks which had been especially prepared for this ceremony went off with a loud bang.

The grey sky was filled with beautiful colorful sparks, lighting up it up.

BSTV was showing the fireworks display on one side and the couple hugging their relatives on another side.

The female host said to her co host, "If the engagement has been like this I wonder what the wedding will be like?"

"I can only say that I am excited and waiting in anticipation for it. The announcement has to come from the royal marriage bureau but rumor has it that it will not be long from now." The male host said.

"Isn’t it adorable how excited crown prince Markay is? This is a great week for him, first his engagement and then his crowning in two days." The female asked.

The male tv host nodded. "Absolutely. The biggest winner this week is crown prince Markay. Even though the crown and title have not been given to him officially, he has been recognized unofficially. We just heard the emperor call former Lady Carolyn Su, Crown princess Carolyn Wu-in waiting."

"Can we talk about the fashion of her entourage? Our very own reporter Jelly was lucky enough to be among these ladies. I am sensing an exclusive interview tomorrow. The female reporter said.

"Oh-Ooh, news reaching us now is that the emperor and our governor have prepared various food serving points in different cities. Free food will be distributed to as many citizens today as possible." The male host said.

The background of the television changed to show various food serving points.

Meanwhile, inside the ballroom, music had changed into more joyful one, dance numbers meant to excite the guests.

Scarlet and her sisters, include Carolyn were moving their bodies around a bit. Carolyn was simply swaying because Markay was holding her hand.

He was not going to allow her to be apart from him unless necessary for the rest of the day.

Esong too, had already found his way to Scarlet. He was dancing in a cool manner, simply moving his head and tapping his right foot.

Carnelia whispered to Lythia, "Who do you think is in there right now?"

"Nyx." Lythia answered without hesitating.

The guests were mingling as the main event was now finished. Even the emperor and empress had relaxed and they were speaking to monk Fion with smiles on their faces.

"Everyone can move out to the gardens. The sumptuous banquet will be starting immediately." Blad announced.

Happiness filled the guests. Most of them could finally get to the part which they considered most important, filling their stomachs.
