"Mother, let me go." Scarlet squirmed and lowered her body in a move to escape the tight hold both parents had on her.

"I don’t wanna." Mega with her quick fingers grabbed Scarlet by the shoulders and hugged her again, forcefully.

"Dad, talk some sense into her." Scarlet whined.

It seemed to have slipped her mind that he was actively involved in the hugging. The only difference was that he had loosened his hold a bit.

"I am going to be late for the press conference." Scarlet reminded them.

"You are already late." Carolyn told her.

"That’s because you guys are hogging me and keeping me here." She stiffened her body and surrendered. Her mother had her eyes closed and weirdly enough, she was sniffing Scarlet’s hair.

"Alex, inform speaker Blad to tell professor Sham that he can begin the press conference." She said, with a final surrender in her voice.

Her mother was all caught up in emotions and it did not seem like she would be letting go of Scarlet at anytime soon. Mega’s body was trembling, holding back unshed tears or releasing tension that she had been weighing on her heavily, all night long.

It would not come as a surprise to anyone if Mega started crying right now. She was pregnant and crying was what she did when she got pregnant.

"Honey, just let her go for now. We will hug her again after the press conference." Dorian told his wife.

"She could have died." Mega slowly run one of her hands over Scarlet’s head as she replied. "Did you see the way he pulled her head back?"

"I did." Dorian replied softly.

He moved from Scarlet’s side to Mega’s and he rubbed her back gently, hoping that it would calm her down. "She is okay, and she is here with us which means that she protected herself quite well. After the press conference she will tell us everything."

"Or she can just do an exclusive interview with one reporter later on and avoid the vultures who call themselves reporters. Those people are not interested in knowing if she is okay, most of them just want juicy details to share. Did you see the headlines which followed after the footage was released?" Carolyn approached her parents and Scarlet and she showed them some of the outageous title articles.

Mega was ready to jump in and stop Scarlet in case she lost her mind and decided to go into details about just how capable her husband was in certain aspects.

"Hallelujah!" Elroy chimed in.

A few puzzled heads turned to him, Scarlet’s inclusive.

"What? I am just happy for my sister who is living a fulfilled life." He defended himself with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Hallelujah." Halley repeated after Elroy.

The eyes that were on Beord now turned to Halley. The little girl stood there with a beaming proud smile on her face, so unbothered.

"Please don’t let her grow up to be a female version of this fool." Beord mumbled. He carried Halley into his arms and held her hostage.

Scarlet turned back to the hologram and pointed at another headline. "PR stunt!! Really? What do I need it for? I am famous empire wide. All I need to do is stand on a any street and everyone will start taking pictures or recording me." She repeated with great emphasis, "I am famous."

"We know." Fey responded on behalf of everyone.

Carolyn, for the second time that morning rolled her eyes. Scarlet did not need to put emphasis on how famous she was, they all knew.

She had one billion followers on star net and two billion on star tube. When it came to fame on the Sunstar she was only outranked by the emperor and empress.

Even the royal princes and princesses could not compete with her.

"And this one which is saying that I am always the victim with an exclamation mark. They mean that I am pretending right?" Scarlet looked at the various members of her family. She sneered and said, "I put general Sang in the hospital for attacking me. How am I the victim? I was so brutal in my counterattack that he is still afraid of his own shadow. Who is the victim now?"

"Hold on, you put Sang in a hospital?" Adler managed to put himself between his father and Scarlet.

Dorian was quick to frown because again, his son was trying to put himself in charge. He was about to ask that same question and he did.

"Did you put general Sang in a hospital?" He asked Scarlet.

Scarlet was just realizing now that in her rant, she had spilled information which was supposed to be secret. In all of the revelations to be made, she had been advised strongly by the mecha warrior’s association not to mention what she had done to his mind.

Of course, she claimed that she had searched his mind and when they asked how she did it, she claimed that Esong had taught her how to do it.

Lucky for her, her husband played along and confirmed her lie.

What she could do now was admit some truths while withholding others.

She nodded and told them, "I just gave him a taste of his own medicine. Anyway, Fey, get reporter Jelly in here for that exclusive interview. She is one of the rational ones who doesn’t assume things blindly."

"Where will you sit?" Fey asked her.

"Let’s do it my living room." She replied.

Suddenly Elroy gasped and said loudly, "There is a cure for the darkness!!! Holy shit!! This is big news. I don’t think anybody is going to be paying attention to your fight with general Sang because this is like biggest news ever. How is this announcement not coming from the emperor?"

He was watching the live press conference on one of the hologram screens that were on the inner walls of the castle.

Everyone in the family including Scarlet looked up at it as well.

"Alex, turn up the volume." She said. "Oh, you guys are welcome. The cure is my handiwork, me and a bunch of doctors from the Blue star. Either way, I am going to be even more famous now. Those news stations can go ahead and suck it."

"Suck what?" Elroy asked her.

"It." She replied.

"I don’t know what you are talking about but stop. It sounds.....inappropriate." their mother said.

Adler meanwhile, beat his father to another punch.

"Congratulations and thank you for your hardwork." He told Scarlet.
