He shot her a confused look and she faked a smile. He probably thought that she was joking but she wasn’t. What she prepared was the typical kids birthday with a performance from a clown, children’s games like treasure hunts, sack races, water balloon tossing, musical chairs and piñata smashing. Instead she had an orgy, a day at the beach, the rise of the dead, the worst Rapunzel wannabe she had ever seen, wine country, fist fighting and now surfing, Tridon was surfing on his beach and his mermaids were handing out surf boards to teenagers.

It had been four hours of non stop chaos and it probably wouldn’t end until long after the sun had set.

"I like it, it’s crazy and it’s fun. I don’t think anyone has ever thrown a party of this caliber before. It’s better than those boring usual parties where everyone sits around discussing politics and the weather while pretending to like each other." the emperor declared. "You should have more parties often." he supplemented.

"It’s too wild." Esong said.

Scarlet was happy to know that there was someone who thought the madness was a little to much. It was a surprise that the madness had not reached them in here. How were they keeping it out? Was it because Frost and the others were in here too?

The emperor started laughing out of the blue and when others looked at him curiously he clued them in on what was amusing him.

"I have heard that duke Faridon was seen running around butt naked. I cannot wait for the next session in the house of ministers. If anybody here raises anything about conduct I will show them all their pictures."

"I apologize your highness. I had no idea that the nobles would drink so much or let loose to this extent." She apologized because it was her party.

But she was not to blame completely. Perhaps they thought all that they were doing was in the virtual world which is why they let loose.

"You should not apologize for giving me good blackmail material." he answered with a cheeky grin. "Anyway enough talking, let’s eat. We cannot let our honored guests starve."

The honored guests was Frost and he smirked at emperor’s words.

Cecily came into the room with the birthday boy who was very sweaty but all smiles. The hat on his head was blinking on and off, the words happy birthday Justin rotating around.

Mega started opening all the different food platters and the emperor licked his lips.

"Mommy." he extended his hands so that she would take him.

Ezrah was quicker as she scooped him up swiftly. "Oh, why call for mommy when god mommy is here."

Justin stared at her blankly and blinked, then he turned his head to Scarlet.

"Mommy." he said in soft voice.

Ezrah squeezed him tighter and sniffed him the same way Scarlet often sniffed Illa.

"Stop sniffing my baby." Scarlet snatched him up Ezrah.

Her words had Mega pausing the food distribution and she turned her head around with a justified look in her eyes.

Scarlet, Illa’s biggest sniffer was telling someone not to sniff her own baby. How amusing.

Scarlet pretended not to see her mother’s self righteous look and looked at the emperor’s overly heaped plate. It was like a small mountain. Would he be able to move after stuffing himself full on all that food?

"Will you be eating now?" Esong whispered to her.

She shook her head. At the moment, she could not stuff anything heavy in her stomach. There was a lot of damage control to do and she needed to stay on top of it.

She got a few desserts and munched on them slowly.

In her mind, she heard the old deity’s voice. "Scarlet, where is our food?" he asked her.

"I thought gods don’t eat." she answered.

"Says who?" he answered. "We have worked to entertain your guests. Don’t we deserve to eat. And none of that human food, bring out the good stuff."

"Did you provide any raw materials? All of you crashed my party and now you want to be fed." It wasn’t as if they gave her ingredients willingly.

"We came to help." Lythia said.

"That’s right, we knew Tridon would be crashing the party because he announced it in every realm." Carnelia said defensively. "We came to protect you."

Maybe that had been their original intention but they were having too much fun for it to be a protection mission. One was exploding things with her fire, one was playing pranks on the guests with her shadows and another was scaring them with his three faces. Where was the protection?

Why did they even want the food? It was not as if it would satisfy them physically?

"Sweetness is sweetness and we like sweet things." another voice joined in. "It’s a brave new world little reaper. In this city, we are not afraid to come out and play. We might as well eat while we are at it."

"Tridon," she said through gritted teeth.

He was single handedly responsible for the deities being there. He didn’t deserve a grain of food from her.

"I will pay. After the party, I will fill your waters with all sorts of edible fish. I heard you recently lost a lot of your own fish."

She scoffed and cracked her knuckles. Whose fault was it that the fish she spent so much effort on were wasted just like that?

"And I promise not to leave any weird creatures on your world." The god of deceit said.

Scarlet knew his words could not be trusted and the eerie chuckle at the end of his statement did not inspire and belief from her side.

He was definitely going to leave something behind just because he could.

"I will leave behind the wine fountain." the god of wine said.

Scarlet excused herself from the sunroom and stepped out for a while, going in search of Severus. Her feet carried her to the first kitchen which was empty and she locked the door. Severus and Flan teleported to her.

"What’s up with them?" she asked Severus. "They want to eat, apparently."

"It’s a party and your underworld snacks are not terrible. Just give them what they want. The sooner they are gone, the sooner normalcy will be restored. I have filled two rooms so far with idiotic drunk humans. It’s getting boring, we need to get rid of them."

Scarlet took out half of her stock for the underworld shop, including what she prepared that morning.

"I will not be serving you. You guys can....."

The words froze, getting stuck in her throat because the food started vanishing into thin air. Everything was taken within ten seconds.

Suddenly a chicken bone fell out of thin air and hit her on the back of her head. She turned around and hissed unhappily.

A voice laughed as if what had just happened was hilarious.

"Oops," it said.

"That will be chaos. He doesn’t like you much." Severus said. "Take a deep breath, they will be gone soon. Remember what’s important."

It was important to keep the ones who were not in the loop from discovering her pregnancy.

Scarlet banged her fists on the kitchen counter and screamed loudly. It was a high pitched scream filled with anger and rage. A small rumbling went through the entire castle.

"I hate them," she huffed and said.
