She could deliberate on that later. It was not that important anyway.

"I mean that since the bugs do not like heat, you can create some devices that blow hot smoke. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t but you will not know if you don’t try."

Lancaster put one of his hands on his pointed chin, looking all serious and deep in thought.

"It could work." he said.

Scarlet was about to say more when a giggling Carnelia flew past her and a group of children with shields on their heads run after her.

"What in the world is going on?" she asked herself.

Suddenly Carnelia turned into a fire breathing dragon and red flames came pouring out of her mouth.

Scarlet looked around with wide puzzled eyes thinking a for few seconds that the children were in danger. The children were laughing fervently, excitement present in every high pitched giggled. Not even one hint of fear was on their faces.

The flames didn’t hurt them, which eased Scarlet’s heart. They evaporated in the air.

"How did you get the CGI to come out so realistically? I could have sworn that there is a bit of heat in those flames?" Rubbing his arms, Lancaster asked her. "I could borrow your idea and create my own gaming city."

Scarlet just blinked blankly because she could not begin explaining that that was no hologram or CGI, it was a god.

"Uh-uh, no stealing from me." she answered. "Go and greet the emperor."

She pushed him away and he left, thankfully.

If she thought Carnelia’s stunt was crazy, Tridon sliding through her hallways on a wave of water with very chipper little kids and a pod of mermaids just fried her mind.

"What the heck are these deities doing?" she asked herself.

"We are having fun." a voice in her mind said.

It was the old deity who deemed it kind to respond to her confusion.

"Please don’t tell me that you are doing something crazy as well." she said in a resigned voice.

Even as she said it, she was aware that it was a forgone conclusion because he had said we which included him. Her eyes changed, and she switched to grim reaper vision.

The old deity was in the castle invasion game, and he had brought with him a whole battalion of undead skeletons. Lythia was there too, fighting on the opposite team with another group of human teenagers.

The princess that was in need of rescue was another deity, a female one who happened to be a terrible actress. It was not one she had personally met before.

"Who is the princess?" she asked in her mind.

"Love." The old deity answered. "And I am the brave knight who will rescue her from the claws of the beastly dragon."

"Oh God!!" Scarlet groaned.

They were going to destroy her city. They would shatter it to pieces and leave her with empty pockets, souls to collect and a mess to clean up.

"I hate to break it to you but another one is here, the worst of them who loves parties a little too much.." Severus told her. "Come find me in the ball room."

She looked left and right then teleported, vanishing right there and not even one human noticed because they could not even separate reality from friction at this point.

She appeared next to Severus who was on a balcony above the ballroom.

"Look down," he told her.

Scarlet’s eyes moved down and widened in horror when she saw the mess that her ballroom had been turned into. The smell of wine in the room was equal to the smell of garbage rotting in a dumpster.

It dominated the air as if someone had painted the walls with it, mopped the floor, and then sprinkled a few drops more just because.

She pinched her nose and stomped her foot.

"Who is it?"

"Darcus, the god of wine and parties. If I had to guess, Tridon is the one who spread the word that a grim reaper was holding a party. He is a vengeful bastard." Severus told her.

"A children’s party!!" she yelled. "For a heaven’s sake, this is a children’s party."

The ballroom had been prepared for nobles, honored guests and the royal family. Darcus had turned into a wine party.

Music was being played on harps by weird creatures in the different corners of the ceiling. Half of the nobles were intoxicated and the other half were on their way to the same fate. There was a large fountain of wine in the middle of her ballroom.

Wine was spilling from it and people were gathered around, drinking with their mouths from it, directly.

"Taste the ambrosia baby!!" someone screamed and threw themselves into the fountain.

Rather than being appalled, the nobles applauded.

Scarlet buried her head in her hands and groaned while Severus chuckled.

"You have created a city where fiction and reality bend. The humans cannot tell what’s real or not, the gods have hypnotized most of them. I would say you brought this upon yourself but it’s not like you saw it coming. The gods have been bored and you have just given them an entire city to play with." he told her.

"But this is not their world. They cannot play around as they please on the world of another god." She answered

"Yeah, with Wisdom out of the picture, there is not much we can do to stop them from popping in as they please. As long as they don’t kill the humans maliciously just ignore them."

Ignore them, Ignore them, Ignore them.

The words just kept ringing in her mind, over and over and over. How could she ignore them when they were ruining her party?

Flan popped up and said, "So we should probably seal off the gardens because Ethes is holding a private party in one of the glass houses."

"Who is Ethes?" she asked.

"Sex, desire, lust...name it and it’s his." Severus told her.

Scarlet wanted to enter the ground and let it swallow her. She could only imagine the kind of debauchery which was going on in there. My baby Justin, she thought, her baby could not see anything freaky.

"Alex, seal off the gardens." she told her AI. When she was done, she contacted Tion.

"Make sure that no member of the press manages to squeeze into the castle grounds. Ask the mecha warriors for help, I want zero press. Make sure that no one underage goes near the gardens." she shouted frantically.

Tion was in the watchtower of the castle with Elroy and captain Jacks. About fifty other guards were up there including royal guards who were monitoring every corner of the castle.

When she mentioned the gardens, he went to the section with camera for the gardens. About six guards were watching the screens with weird looks on their faces.

He looked at the screen and his eyes almost popped open.

"Oh God!!" he said in shock. "Seal off the gardens, no children in there, seal them off now, you hear me. Lock it up tight. Cover it above and shoot any drones flying over."

He yelled at the guards who were standing at every entrance into the gardens.

"Fuckin hell, what is going on here?" he bellowed. What kind of party had the governor thrown? Was everyone high on ON3 perhaps?
